Disclaimer: I do not own any of the original characters from Supernatural. I do own the original character Kalen and any other unrecognized characters.
Summary: Sam has been keeping a massive secret from his brother. Even more secrets unravel as the younger hunter realizes just how blessed he has been.
NOTE: This story takes out a lot of things (as you will find out) from the wonderful TV show Supernatural. The story may seem a little rushed, but that's because my Muse is already on the sequel.

Castiel lifted his head.
"Dean is calling for me."
His companion snorted. Castiel cocked his head to the side with a curious look on his face.
"Dean-o is always calling for you. I swear Chuckles there has you on speed dial," Gabriel told him before taking a bite out of his ice cream.
He was going in for a second bite when he suddenly paused.
"Now he's calling for me?" Chuckle. "Five dollars says Dean-o broke Sammy boy's laptop again."
Castiel's frown deepened.
"But I don't have five dollars."
They disappeared from their place on a park bench and reappeared in the bunker kitchen. The kitchen was an utter mess with papers flung about all over the table and the floor. An exhausted looking Dean was hunched over a laptop, growling and swearing under his breath while jamming his fingers hard on the keys.
Gabriel clapped his hands together with a big grin stretching across his face.
"I told you," he bragged.
Castiel shot him an exasperated look. Dean's head snapped up at the sound of the archangel's voice.
"It's about time you two showed up," he said, lurching to his feet.
"What is it, Dean?" Castiel questioned.
Dean pointed Gabriel who raised an eyebrow.
"I can't find Sam. I know you did the thing with our ribs, Cas, but I figured Asshat here probably put some sort of tracker on us to keep tabs on us or something," Dean explained.
Castiel shook his head.
"Dean, that would be improbable. Gabriel has no reason to do such a thing," Castiel said.
He grew more confused when he realized Dean's attention didn't waver to him. Turning, he found the hunter's attention still on his not so innocent looking brother. Castiel's eyes rolled heavenward.
"Gabriel…" Castiel started, the frustration growing in his voice.
"Oh, give me a break! I didn't touch Dean-o, Cassie. The tracker is only on Sammy boy," Gabriel explained.
Castiel released a huff which was drowned out by Dean demanding to know where his brother was. Castiel placed a hand on Dean's shoulder, earning him a heated glance from the hunter.
"Don't worry, Dean. I'm sure Sam only left to get supplies," Castiel reassured him.
"Cas, we did a supply run yesterday. Now he ain't answering his phone and he didn't leave a note so I need Featherbrain here to…"
"I can't."
Castiel and Dean jerked their heads to the side. Gabriel seemed to be staring off into space. His eyes were glowing misty blue with barely controlled Grace. Hie eyes darted left and right.
"What is it, Gabriel?" Castiel asked.
"I can't find Sam."

[Down a dirt road]
"Dean's going to get worried."
Sigh.
"Well, yeah. You left the note in his car. What are the chances he'll look there first?"
Sam sighed as he leaned his head back.
"We should have stayed. I should have grabbed my phone. He's probably already called Cas and Gabriel back to the bunker," Sam groaned.
His companion shook her head as she tapped the steering wheel.
"I'm not quite ready to meet your brother. Nor do I think he's ready to meet me. Your phone is in your pocket by the way."
Sam frowned as he reached up and tapped his jacket pocket. He was surprised to feel a weight he didn't remember having a second ago. He reached in and pulled out his phone.
He already had a whole slew of missed calls and text messages from Dean.
"I should call him and let him know I'm okay," Sam told her.
She shook her head.
"You haven't even asked why I came for you."
Sam's eyebrows knit together.
"Why did you?"
Smile.
"I'm here to tell you more. I think you're ready."
Sam's phone dropped into his lap.
"Really? Just like that?"
She nodded.
Sam snatched up his phone and turned it off. He didn't need it interrupting them. Surely, Dean would find the note.
