Abby stood by the spot as she looked at Tin Man and Lion as they finished patching up Scarecrow. "Well, that's about it." said Tin Man and as he put the last of the straw in the scarecrow. "Now we need to find Dorothy and Madison." said Scarecrow. "Yes, but how? We don't know which way cause of those monkeys." said Lion.
Abby whimpered a little, missing her mistress until she heard a bark. As the bark got closer, the Dachshund was barking back that it got the three's attentions. "What is it, Abby?" Scarecrow asked. Tin Man looked up and saw a familiar dog coming. It was Toto. "Look! There's Toto. Where'd he come from?"
The little dog barked at them as he was trying to tell them something, but Scarecrow reacted as he thought what he's barking about. "Why, don't you see? He's come to take us to Dorothy and Madison. Come on, fellas!" said Scarecrow as he got up and follow the dog along with Tin Man, Lion, and Abby. The Dachshund was happy to see Toto and also happy to know that her mistress is alright.
The group followed Toto as they came to a mountain. While Toto started to climb, Abby tried to climb up on the rocks. For a small chubby dog, she has been doing crutches and jumped to the couches and beds. The guys started following them as the climbed up.
The dogs finally made it up to the top and looked down to wait for the others to come up. The three kept on struggling as they climbed on the rocks until Tin Man slips and grabbed hold on the Lion's tail. He yelped from the pull and looked down, feeling scared. "I-I hope my strength holds out." said Lion. "I hope your tail holds out!" said Tin Man.
They continued to climb up the mountain until they stopped at one point. They got a good view of the castle. "What's that? What's that?" Lion asked. "That's the castle of the Wicked Witch." Tin Man spoke softly. "The girls are in that awful place?" said Scarecrow. "Oh, I hate to think of her in there. We've got to get her out." said Tin Man as he started to cry but Scarecrow stopped him. "Don't cry now. We haven't got the oilcan with us, and you've been squeaking enough as it is." "Who's them? Who's them?" Lion asked as he pointed down.
Down by the drawbridge, where the witch's guards called the Winkies, were marching and chanting to the courtyard. "I've got a plan how to get in there." said Scarecrow. "Fine. He's got a plan." the Lion said to Tin Man. "And you're gonna lead us." "Yeah," the Lion said but paused and looked at Scarecrow, "Me?" "Yes, you." "I gotta get them out of there?" "That's right." said Tin Man.
Lion took a deep breath and put on a brave face. "All right, I'll go in there for the girls. Wicked Witch or no Wicked Witch. Guards or no guards, I'll tear them apart. Ruff! I may not come out alive, but I'm going in there. There's only one thing I want you fellas to do." "What's that?" Tin Man and Scarecrow asked. "Talk me out of it!" Lion said, as he began to climb down the other way.
"No, you don't!" Tin Man and Scarecrow reacted as they grabbed Lion before he could run away. "Now, wait a minute!" "Up!"
Inside the castle, Dorothy looked at the hourglass with worry while Madison tried to break the door open. She tried hitting, banging, and even tried pick locking from whatever she could fine but none of them worked. 'It's no use! Makes me think that the witch hexed the door or maybe the wood was too thick to do things.' she thought. Madison looked back at the hourglass, seeing that time will be running out soon. 'Hurry up guys.'
Moments later, the guys and the dogs climbed down the rocks but stopped and watched as the Winkies kept on marching. Abby and Toto barks and growls at them. The three hushed the dogs to keep them quiet, Scarecrow and Tin Man picked them up and held them. During which the three were discussing their plan to get in, they didn't know was three Winkies spotted them and quietly began sneaking up behind them.
Lion turned around and stifled a scream, trying to warn them but the two kept shushing him. Suddenly the three guards jumped down on them and the six began a brawl, rocks flying around, legs sticking out as they brawled.
The fight lasted a few minutes until the dust cleared up. Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion appeared from the dust and rocks, wearing the Winkies uniforms and hats and holding the spears. Abby and Toto came out with tassels in their mouth. They looked down to see the Winkies form a line to march into the castle which made Scarecrow thought of something.
"Come on, I've got another idea." he said as he got up to go down the rocks, but Lion stopped him. "Do you think it would be polite dropping in like this?" he asked. The three climbed down along with the dogs. They lined up behind the rest of the guards, marching straight into the castle. Abby and Toto followed behind them, making sure she wasn't seen and then the drawbridge went up.
While the Winkies kept on marching in the castle, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion ducked back into the hall and watched the guards leave. "Where do we go now?" Tin Man asked. "Yeah?" said Lion. Toto barked as they turned to the stairway, he barked and ran up showing them the way. "There!" said Scarecrow. The three and Abby quickly followed Toto up the stairs and down the hall, until they came to a big door where Toto stopped.
"Wait! We better make sure." said Scarecrow and spoke through the door, "Girls? Girls are you in there?" "It's us." said Lion.
"It's them they're here." Madison said to Dorothy as she near the door with excitement and Dorothy ran up to the door. "Yes! It's us! She's locked us in!" "Please get us out guys!" said Madison.
"Listen, fellas. It's them. We gotta get them out! Open this door!" said Lion.
"Oh, hurry! Please hurry!" said Dorothy as the girls looked at the hourglass, "The hourglass is almost empty!" "Get us out, quick!" Madison shouted. "Stand back!" Tin Man shouted on the other side.
Tin Man swung his axe, breaking the wooden door bit by bit. The girls stood back and watched the hourglass as it was almost empty, knowing time wasn't almost up. Until one final swing, opened the door and the girls rushed out. "Oh, Toto! Toto!" "Abby!" the girls embrace their dogs and then embraced their friends. "Oh, Lion!" "Dorothy! Madison!" "I knew you'd come! I knew you would!" "Hurry, we've got no time to lose!" said Scarecrow and everyone starts running.
They quickly ran down the hall and dashed down the stairs, they quickly got to the entrance until the big doors shut closed. Then they heard the sound of a witch cackle. The girls turned and gasped along with the others as they saw the Witch at the top of the stairs with a winged monkey and the hourglass in her hand.
"Going so soon? I wouldn't hear of it. Why, my little party's just beginning." she said. "Trapped. Trapped like mice...rats." the Lion said nervously. Then the Winkies came running and surrounding them, pointing their spears. The dogs growled and barked. "That's right. Don't hurt them right away. We'll let them think about it a little first." the Witch cackled.
Scarecrow soon had his attention above them seeing a huge candelabra hung up. He noticed a rope near them that is tied up and looked at Tin Man's axe as he thought of an idea. The Wicked Witch shrieks and throws the hourglass to the floor below which it bursts into flames and destroyed. Scarecrow cuts the rope with Tin Man's axe which causes the chandelier to land on the Winkie guards trapping them and the group quickly ran off.
"Seize them! Seize them! Stop them, you fools stop them! Seize them! Seize them!" the Witch commanded in fury and the Winkies ran after them. The Witch among with the winged Monkey ran with the guards as Dorothy, Madison and her friends go up the stairs. "There they go! Now we've got them! Half of you go this way, half of you go that way. Hurry! Hurry!" the Witch commanded, and the guards went in different paths.
Madison ran with her friends as fast as she could. She wasn't used to running but she doesn't want the guards to catch her. They came to the battlement and stopped as they don't where to go. "Where do we go now?" Lion asked. "This way. Come on!" said Scarecrow as he pointed to a direction. The five ran along the battlement but stopped once they saw the Winkies blocking the path. "Back! Back!" Scarecrow shouted.
They quickly ran back to where they were until more Winkie guards' approach in front of them. They were trapped and the Witch appeared as she smiled and laughed.
"Well! Ring around the rosy! A pocket full of spears! Thought you'd be pretty foxy, didn't you? Well, the last to go will see the first three to go before them! And their mangy little dogs too!" said the Witch as she looked at the group who were huddling together. The Witch raised her broom up to a torch and caught it on fire. "How about a little fire, Scarecrow?" she said as thrust her broom and soon the Scarecrow's arm caught on fire.
"Scarecrow!" Madison shouted. "Help! I'm burning! I'm burning!" Scarecrow cried in a frighten way. "Madison, help me with this!" said Dorothy. Madison turned to see Dorothy carried a bucket of water. Madison nod and helped her pick it up. "Don't throw that water!" the Witch cried.
The girls didn't hear what the witch said as they threw the water on the Scarecrow's arm to put out the fire, which some water splashed onto the Witch's face which made her scream in pain. "You cursed brats! Look what you've done!" she yelled and suddenly she began to melt as everyone was around and watched. "I'm melting! Melting! Oh, what a world! What a world! Who would have thought a good little girl like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness? Look out! Look out! I'm going." she cried as her voice faded and faded as she melts to the ground, and all was left was just a hat and cloak.
Everyone stood silent for a moment while the dogs sniffed close, and the winged monkey stood beside them. The Winkie guard leader looked at the remaining's of the witch and looked at the girls. "She's... She's dead, you killed her." the leader said in shock. "It was an accident." said Madison as she looked guilty but don't feel guilty at all as she knew that was gonna happen. "We didn't mean to kill her, really we didn't. It's just that he was on fire." said Dorothy as she pointed at Scarecrow.
"Hail to Dorothy and Madison! The Wicked Witch is dead!" the Winkie leader said and kneel to the girls. "Hail! Hail to Dorothy and Madison! The Wicked Witch is dead!" the guards shouted as the kneel.
The girls smiled at the guards knowing they have freedom and won't serve the witch anymore. "Dorothy, remember what we came for?" Madison asked which made Dorothy remembered. "The broom. May we have it?" Dorothy asked. "Please! And take it with you!" said the leader as he handed the broom to her. "Oh, thank you so much! Now we can go back to the Wizard and tell him the Wicked Witch is dead!" said Dorothy.
"The Wicked Witch is dead!" the guard's chant.
