'Nature Boy'
"Mom, Cousin Jimmy... He just... Ain't... Right?"
Mother: "Yes... I know, Sarah. He has some kind of mental disorder. A type of 'thinking' problem...
Your Cousin Jimmy has not been right... Since he saw his mother, your Aunt Esther die, when he was 4."
Sarah's mom knew that her girl could understand the word 'die'. Last Summer, Sarah's pet puppy had died,
when it ran out into the street and was run over by a speeding car that was trying to evade the police. So awful.
Sarah's mother just couldn't tell her 7-year-old girl, that sweet Aunt Esther had been murdered... by Jimmy's dad.

Little Jimmy, now 8, had a way with animals... Dogs & Cats... Birds of all kinds... Even the insects (Bees, Butterflies, Etc.)
He 'talked' to them, and after a fashion, they did 'talk' back to him. They had an almost instant connection, when he 'focused'.
And he was learning to focus more... and more... Day-by-day. Month-by-month. Year by year. And he had a plan. Yes, he did!

In the prison, cell block 'M', room #616. Jimmy's dad sat... Tried to read The Bible (the only book allowed in this state prison, still.)
"What a load of rubbish... 'Love Thy Neighbor?' Nah... 'The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth?' God, what a bunch of silly hokum..."
he said to himself, as he tossed the Good Book into the far corner of his small prison cell. He never would pick it up again.

Jimmy practiced... and practiced... In the wee hours of the Night.
Talking to various creatures. Especially spiders and moths, etc.
"So... Can you, do it?" Jimmy queried, to a Black Widow Spider.
"Only, if I am in the room..." the spider had answered back.
Jimmy: "But the Room is Far. Very Far... I cannot get you 'There'. No."
The Spider: "Oh... But I know someone who could. 'Get There'... Yes!"

A week later, Jimmy's dad got very ill, late one Night. He then went into a deep coma,
and then died three days later, while in a total delirium. Some type of Tropical-like disease.
The prison doctor was very puzzled. Quite puzzled indeed. This had never happened here before.

Not too long after, came a small motion at Jimmy's bedroom window...
"Thank-You! Friend..." Jimmy now 'talked' to the mosquito, outside his window screen.
"You're quite Welcome!" the insect 'thought' back to Jimmy, then it flew off.
(The End)
