Mario collapsed onto the glass surface of Bowser's Galaxy Reactor. He barely had enough strength to look Bowser in the eyes as the Koopa lifted him up. Bowser laughed.

"You put up a good fight, Mario. But it's over now. I've won, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!" He flung Mario towards the fiery shell of the nearly finished sun before leaping towards his son's ship. "Come on, son. Let's watch the completion of my galaxy!" They watched as more planets began to form until the sun was complete. A burst of energy was released, knocking Peach off of her feet.

"Mario!" she called out. There was no way he could have survived the explosion, and Bowser knew he. He let out a maniacal laugh as he sneered at Peach.

"Mario is done for. You'll never see him again." He turned his attention to Bowser Jr. "Order the mothership to bring the castle here. I want to start redecorating."

"Sure thing, dad!" Junior replied. He flew his airship towards the castle as Bowser leaped back to the platform on which he and Mario had started their battle. While he would never admit it, Bowser was still in a mild state of shock. After all of these years, he had finally defeated his arch enemy. Now there was just the Comet Observatory to worry about. Unfortunately, it seemed to have retreated. That was not a problem, however. Once his empire was firmly established, Bowser would see to it that Rosalina and the Lumas were wiped out. As the castle drew near, his fleet of airships began to gather behind it. Kamek appeared behind him, awaiting orders.

"Return to the Mushroom Kingdom and tell the Koopalings to join us here. Their leadership will be instrumental in establishing my galactic empire."

"Yes, my lord." With a wave of his wand, Kamek vanished, leaving Bowser alone once again. He made his way to the castle, ready to sit upon his throne for the first time.

Author's note: Yeah, don't worry, I'm not dead. I just…needed a break. I was constantly getting burnt out every time I tried to write a new story. That break ended up being a lot longer than I expected, though. Sorry about that. I ended up coming because I had the idea of a what if scenario, and that is what of Bowser won in Super Mario Galaxy? Galaxy is definitely one of my favorite Mario games, so hopefully I won't get burnt out this time. That being said, I am sad to announce that I will be cancelling Breath of the Sky. The truth is, I didn't really plan that one out well, which led to me being stressed about what could happen next. And I also want to want you that updates on this probably won't be very consistent, especially since I really don't want to get burnt out on this one. Anyway, thanks for reading, and I hope you'll stay tuned for the next chapter!
