Once Tails had explained everything, Sonic pulled him in close and held him tight.

Sonic: I'm sorry, Buddy.

Tails: [Sobbing] It's not your fault, S-Sonic. I was the one who trusted her. And she...she backstabbed me.

Sonic: Just let it out, Tails. I'm here for you.

It wasn't easy for Tails to stop crying. After all he kept his tears inside for a long time. Sonic gently rubbed his back to try and calm him down. After half an hour Tails stopped crying and looked up at his brother. His eyes bloodshot from all the crying. Sonic gave him some tissues and rubbed his shoulder.

Sonic: Are you feeling better, Bro?

Tails: I-I think so. F-For now anyway.

He blew his nose and wiped away his tears. But he still had a sad expression on his face. Sonic put him in bed and pulled the covers over him.

Sonic: Try to get some sleep, Buddy. You'll probably feel better in the morning.

Tails: O-Ok. Goodnight, Sonic.

Sonic: Goodnight, Tails. See you in the morning.

With that, Tails went to sleep. Sonic looked at him for a moment before climbing into bed with him and stroking his head.

Sonic: Tails is so important to me. I can't stand seeing him upset like the way he was tonight.

The next day, Amy and Knuckles showed up to Tails and Sonic's place to check if Tails was alright. They just went inside since the door was slightly open. They could hear Tails crying from upstairs. Amy thought it might be best if she went up and Knuckles stayed downstairs.

He agreed. So Amy walked upstairs and saw that the bedroom door was open. She peeked inside and when she noticed Tails was really upset she peeked back out and walked back downstairs.

Amy: What could be wrong with Tails? What happened last night?

Meanwhile, Tails had his head rested on Sonic's chest as Sonic rubbed his back trying to help him relax.

Tails: [crying] H-How...How could she...d-do this t-t-to m-me? I loved h-h-her!

Sonic: Shhhh...Shhhh. It's alright, Buddy. It's ok. Sonic's here now.

Tails: [crying] It just hurts, Sonic.

Sonic: I know, Tails. I'm sorry. Maybe some ice cream would help you feel better?

Tails looked up at his big brother and wiped his tears with his right arm.

Tails: S-Sure. I'd like that.

Sonic: I'll be right back.

Sonic walked downstairs and found Amy and Knuckles sitting on the couch.

Sonic: Oh. Hey, Guys. What are you doing here? And who let you guys in?

Knuckles: No one. The door was open so we just let ourselves in.

Amy: We just wanted to see if Tails was feeling better.

Sonic: He's ok. I just can't seem to calm him down. Poor guy is heartbroken. And Amy, I'm really sorry we had to leave your party because of this.

Amy: Sonic, again. It's fine. Besides, it's Fiona's fault.

Sonic: Still, I have to make it up to you somehow.

Amy: That can wait, Sonic. Right now we have to teach Fiona a lesson.

Knuckles: You coming, Sonic?

Sonic: Go on ahead. I have to stay with Tails.

So Amy and Knuckles went off to confront Fiona. While Sonic went back upstairs to check on Tails. But before he could he spotted someone outside and went to see who it was.

Sonic: Hello? Fiona? you've got some explaining to do.

But he found no one. He walked along to find out who it was he thought he spotted Fiona. He felt an urge of anger to shout at her. But it wasn't Fiona he saw. It was Shadow.

Sonic: Shadow?

Shadow: Ah. Sonic the hedgehog. Long time no see.

Sonic: I don't have time to fight you now, Shads. I have to find Fiona.

Shadow: I don't want to pick a fight with you. I just came to...did you say Fiona?

Sonic: Yeah. You know her?

Shadow: Yeah. She's a friend of mine. But she hasn't been herself since she and your foxy friend started dating. Her old self just came back last night.

Sonic: That's why I need to find her. She cheated on Tails last night and she didn't even apologize for it.

Shadow: No wonder she's back to normal. I was just on the way to your place...to apologize for how I was towards you, my friend.

Sonic: Apologize accepted, pal. But before you go apologize to Tails, I need you to try and calm him down while I'm gone.

Shadow: I'll try my best, Sonic.

And with that, Shadow walked off to Sonic and Tails's place and Sonic dashed to catch up with Amy and Knuckles. Once Shadow arrived he saw Tails from inside. He was sitting on the couch with tears still in his eyes. Though he was surprised to see him.

Tails: S-Shadow?
