It's been two weeks since Tails and Fiona's break up. Tails was starting to feel a little better but still felt depressed and he hadn't left the house for a while now. Sonic was starting to get worried, so he called Amy, and Shadow over to talk. A few minutes later, Shadow was the first to arrive.

Shadow: He's still feeling down in the dumps, Huh?

Sonic: Yep. I tried almost everything but nothing seems to work for long. I called you here because I need a new idea but we can't think of one until Amy gets here.

Amy: Here I am, Sonic.

The two hedgehogs turned around to see Amy standing behind them. She looked really angry about the whole situation and she just got back from Fiona's; but when she saw how worried Sonic was her face softened.

Amy: Sonic, how is he doing?

Sonic just shook his head.

Sonic: I can't bare to see him s-so upset. He never went through this in a-a long time.

Sonic looked like he was about to collapse and breakdown so Amy wrapped her arms around him.

Amy: Oh, Sonic. It'll be ok. I have to admit Fiona is a jerk.

Shadow: You have a point, Rose. But it shouldn't be effective for Sonic. If we can just talk to Tails maybe he could explain what his part of the story is.

Before anyone could say anything, Tails walked outside looking tired, his eyes bloodshot from crying.

Amy: Hey, Tails. Feeling any better?

But Tails didn't say anything he just kept walking. Shadow grabbed his arm to stop him.

Shadow: Listen, we understand that you're upset right now but we just wanna help.

Tails: You don't have to say anything else. I get it. No girl would ever be in a relationship with me.

Sonic: C'mon, Buddy. You know that isn't true.

Tails: [Teary] Why did Fiona cheat on me and want to break up with me then?

Everyone was silent.

Tails: That's what I thought.

Sonic: B-But, Tails. Hold on.

Tails: Please, Sonic. I just wanna be alone right now.

With that Tails ran away. Sonic called him again but this time he didn't answer. This made Sonic really worried. He felt tears run down his face and Shadow noticed it.

Shadow: Sonic? You alright?

Sonic didn't say anything. He quickly turned around and ran back into the house. Amy and Shadow were shocked.

Amy: Oh. Poor Sonic. I've never been him so sad before.

Shadow: You go check on him. I'll catch up with Tails.

So Amy ran after Sonic while Shadow raced after Tails. After a few minutes, he found him sitting under a tree. He was about to go talk to him but someone stopped him from behind. It was another girl.

Mina: Wait. Let me.

Shadow: Who are you?

Mina: My name is Mina. And I think I should talk to you foxy friend.

Mina walked passed Shadow and sat down next to Tails.

Mina: Hi there. Is everything ok?

Tails: [Teary] Huh? Oh. Hi. Yeah. Just...a lot on my mind.

Mina: Then, why are you crying? Did something happen?

Tails wiped his tears away and sighed. He didn't feel like talking but he knew it better to let out your problems than to keep them in. He tried to explain best he could but his voice was shaking.

Tails: [Shaky] My...ex girlfriend and I...broke up. I've been l-like this for two weeks now. She was...she was my first love.

Mina felt really bad for Tails. She took out some tissues from her pocket and gave them to him.

Mina: Here. I can't pretend to know how it feels and I can understand what you're going through.

Tails: Y-You can?

Mina: Yes. My ex broke up with me too. I still feel sad about it sometimes but I managed to move on. And when the time comes you will too.

Tails just sat there drying his tears without saying a word.

Mina: Let's hang out for a while. Get something else on you mind.

Tails: Huh? You mean that?

Mina: Of course. I'm Mina by the way.

Tails: Miles Prower. But everyone calls me Tails. And I guess you can see why.

Mina: Yeah. You have two tails. Cool.

Tails started blushing. Suddenly, Shadow walked up to them.

Shadow: Sorry to interrupt, but, Tails, aren't you forgetting about something. Or should say someone?

Tails: Oh no! Sonic!

Mina: Who?

Tails: My best friend! I have to go apologize to him!

Tails flew back home as fast as he could. Once he got home he saw Sonic staring at the sea.

Tails: Sonic!

Sonic turned around to see Tails standing right in front of him.

Sonic: Tails!

They ran to one another and hugged each other tight.

Tails: Sonic, I'm so sorry. I was upset about...

Sonic: Hey. It's ok, Buddy. You just needed some time.

That's when Sonic noticed Mina behind Tails.

Sonic: Who's your new friend?

Tails: Oh. This is Mina.

Mina: Hello, Sonic. Nice to meet you.

Sonic: Likewise.

For the rest of the day, Sonic, Tails, Shadow and Mina hung out and Tails felt much happier than before.
