Chapter 2: Welcome To Maretime Bay! The Rider War Begins.
North and Des stared at Hitch and Sprout who were nervous.
Sprout: Mommy! I thought you said me and Hitch were the only ones with superhero suits!
Phyllis: Well of course! I don't know how they got them!
Desna: Well guess what, the true heroes around here, are us. So get ready, we're going to fight for our freedom and avoid the injustice you all spread.
Hitch: What injustice?
North Star: We walk into town, minding our own business, then you all freak out and try to capture us where there was no reason to.
Hitch was about to say something only to stop himself.
Hitch: Wait…
Before Hitch could think, Sprout charged towards North and Des.
Sprout: Who cares! You're all under arrest!
Des jumped in front of North and punched Sprout in the face which sent him flying.
North Star: I'll take care of the sheriff. Think you can deal with Mama's Deputy?
Desna: No problem.
Des started to run up towards Sprout where he jumped and did a screw kick on the deputy where Des drew out his Gashacon Sword.
The sword had a silver handle and a blue crossguard where it had a fire orange A button and a ice blue B button as the blade was fire orange and looked like it was made of flames where there was a silver blade piece down the middle.
Desna: Bring it.
Sprout took out his Kaixa Blaygun and activated its sword mode.
Sprout: I'm not scared of you!
Sprout charged as both sides clashed blades.
North and Hitch didn't move an inch as Sunny and Izzy were behind the young dragon.
North Star: Sunny, was it?
Sunny: Uh, yes.
North Star: You and Izzy go somewhere safe. We'll be fine.
Izzy: You got this North!
Sunny and Izzy ran off as North just took a deep breath and sat down with his legs crossed.
Hitch: Looks like I can charge you for assaulting an officer!
North Star: Technically my friend did it in self defense. Now I see why Equestria has fallen. Corruption like this is a good example.
Hitch: Oh enough!
Hitch revved up the motor handle on his Driver where he increased his speed and circled North.
Hitch: Catch me if you can. My speed is unmatched!
North closed his eyes and let his senses do their job.
North's ears moved as he sniffed the air where he felt the ground beneath him.
North Star: But you can still be touched.
North extended his right leg out and tripped Hitch where the sheriff fell and hit the ground.
North got up where Hitch recovered and attempted to punch North from behind only for the young dragon to turn around and catch the fist.
North Star: Since you toss the first punch, now I can fight back in self defense.
North did a palm strike towards Hitch's chest and actually knocked the wind out of him.
Hitch: (That felt like I was getting buck by fifty stallions!)
North then did an axe kick which made Hitch's head hit the ground. Hard.
Hitch got up where he was dizzy from the blow to the head as North just waited for him to recover.
Hitch: Oh you're going away for a long time once I'm through with you!
Hitch charged towards North whose legs glowed as he jumped high into the air.
Hitch: What the?!
North landed on top of Hitch's shoulders as he tapped his visor.
North Star: What's up?
Hitch: Get off of me!
North jumped off of Hitch who brought out his Engineblade.
Hitch: Let's see you deal with this!
North just blinked when he summoned his Medajaribur sword.
Hitch: Oh, so you can deal with it.
Both North and Hitch clash blades as North jumped again where he swung his sword down which Hitch blocked.
As both entered a struggle, the tiger body glowed where the blades on North's arms extended into claws.
Hitch: How the-
North slashed Hitch with one of his claws where he followed up with his sword.
North Star: Can your so-called hero suit do that?
Hitch just growled as his sword ignited into flames.
North Star: Okay. So you can do that.
Hitch charged towards North who used his blade to block all of Hitch's strikes.
North Star: (The power in his sword has increased, but his approach is getting aggressive…)
North tossed his sword up where he slashed Hitch with his claws where he started to spin and repeatedly slash the sheriff where the dragon retracted his claws and jumped into the air.
As Hitch recovered from the attack, he looked up and saw North dive down with his sword and channeled his power into where North swung his sword and slashed Hitch which sent him on his back.
As Hitch was getting up, North just rested his sword on his shoulder.
North Star: I don't know what you think of us, but I know for a fact we can be friends. And you can be one of them.
Hitch: Why would we be friends with a creature like you?
North Star: Because, we're all the same. Just different breeds.
Hitch: Really, well I don't see it.
North got into a stance knowing Hitch wasn't going to listen and clashed once again.
Back to Des and Sprout, Sprout used the blaster function on his Blaygun and kept Des at a distance since the latter didn't have a blaster of his own.
Sprout: AH HA HA HA! Good luck beating me when you can't get close!
Desna: (During this fight, I can tell that this deputy…is weak and pathetic.)
Des decided he had enough of these games where he jumped into the air and pressed the B button where the flame sword changed color and was icey blue.
Des landed as he deflected a few more shots.
Desna: Why don't you chill out?
Des fired a sword slash of ice which freezed Sprout's entire right hand along with the blaster of the Blaygun.
Sprout: Hey! No fair!
Des activated the Gashacon Sword's fire mode and charged towards Sprout with a fiery swing which forms a small explosion and sends Sprout flying where Des launches two fire slashes that hit the deputy and send him crashing down.
As Sprout got up, Des attacked with his sword where the deputy blocked it causing the ice to break.
Sprout: Please! Mercy!
Desna: Where was that to me and my friend?
Sprout panicked as he and Des clashed blades.
Back with North and Hitch, the sheriff looked worned out as North unleashed a power sword slash that sended him back.
Hitch: I am the sheriff! I will not let a monster like you roam free!
North Star: You're no sheriff. Especially with your injustice.
North put his sword away as he took his O Scanner as Hitch stabbed his sword into the ground and revved up the motor handle on his Driver.
With Des and Sprout, Des took his Gashat out of his Driver and inserted it into his Gashacon Sword.
Gashacon Sword: GASHATTO! FINISHER!
Sprout opened the Kaixa Phone on his Driver.
Kaixa Phone: EXCEED CHARGE.
North scanned the core medals on his Driver where his legs became actual green grasshopper legs as he jumped high into the air where three giant rings in the color order of the medals appeared heading towards Hitch.
North charged through each ring as red hawk wings formed from his back as Hitch's caught as all the power transferred to his right leg as he jumped and performed a roundhouse kick.
Des' sword was powering up as digital energy sparks surged as both fire and ice covered around the blade.
Gashacon Sword: TADDLE CRITICAL FINISH!
Sprout charged towards Des with his sword where a yellow X formed in front of him as he merged with it and became a giant yellow drill.
At both fights, both sides clashed with their finishers as two big explosions formed from the clash.
As the fire died down, Hitch and Sprout were sent flying back as they were overpowered by North and Des as they reverted back to their normal selves.
North and Des turned back to normal where they noticed the Lighthouse.
Desna: The lighthouse.
North Star: That's where Mr. Argyle lives.
Both North and Des runoff heading towards the Lighthouse.
North and Des regrouped once they were at the Lighthouse as North knocked on the door.
Both North and Des waited where it was Sunny who answered the door.
Sunny: Oh it's you two. Is everything okay?
Desna: You can say something like that. Though the deputy and sheriff, not so much.
Sunny let them in as she closed the door.
Sunny: So, proper introductions, I'm Sunny Starscout.
North Star: I'm North Star. But you can call me North.
Desna: Desna Maverick. But please, call me Des.
Sunny: So you guys have those hero belts too?
North Star: Well actually we call them Drivers. And the suits, they go by the name, Kamen Rider. I can become Kamen Rider OOO, and Des can become Kamen Rider Brave.
Sunny: So, how did you guys know where we were?
North Star: Well actually, we're here to meet Argyle Starshine. Do you know him?
Sunny's ears flopped down as North senses the sadness coming from her.
North Star: Did something happen to him?
Sunny: Well, I'm his daughter and my dad…he passed away.
Desna: Oh no…
North Star: I'm sorry Sunny. I know how it feels, because I lost my dad too.
North brought out a photo of his dad, Astral Haze, with his friend, Argyle.
Sunny: Wait, that pony is your dad?
North Star: Yeah. Why?
Sunny: My father told me of a hidden village and its where your dad was from.
North Star: Well it's true. I'm here in his place to reunite all ponykind and restore the magic that was lost.
Sunny: I've been doing the same! Well, in my own way. I've been trying to convince the Earth Ponies to give the other ponies a chance, but they won't listen.
Desna: Probably explains the hospitality we received then.
North Star: Well, how about we try another place. Obviously Maretime Bay isn't welcoming, so, why not somewhere else?
Sunny beamed as her ears perked up.
Sunny: You're a genius! Oh wait, Izzy said she can't do magic. What about you guys?
Des just whistles as North just scratched the back of his head.
Sunny: Wait, so not even you two can-
Hitch: Sunny Starscout! We know you're in there with the unicorns and the monster!
Des peeked out and saw that Hitch and Sprout were covered in bandages as Hitch had a megaphone mounted up as Sprout was wearing some kind of antenna hat.
Desna: Guess the Rider armor took most of the impact from our finishers.
North Star: We can't stay here.
Sunny: Hmmm. How sneaky are you?
Desna: I'm sneaky, North here, he dominates at hide and seek, both at hiding and seeking.
Izzy: Eh, medium sneaky.
North Star: But we can't sneak out with those two at the front door. Des, you're the smart one, how can we-
Des walked out the front door where just his appearance was enough to make Sprout run off in fear.
Hitch: Where are you going?!
Sprout: To get reinforcements!
Hitch: We have reinforcements?
As Hitch was distracted, the gang snuck away and when they were gone, Hitch just made a face of annoyance.
North, Des, Sunny, and Izzy made their way out of town as they reached the exit where Sunny just stopped.
Sunny: So wait, none of you have magic?
The others stopped and faced her.
Izzy: Well if it makes you feel any better but that was many moons ago. It just poof disappeared.
North Star: Same with us. None of the ponies back home have any magic.
Desna: And it's why we're here.
Sunny: I'm actually on the run with three ponies who have no magic.
North Star: Well, not for long. Once we find out how to bring it back, all of us will have magic.
Sunny started to think where she had an idea.
Sunny: I know where to start.
Sunny reached into her bag and brought out a book and opened up and showed them a map of the three locations of all pony kind.
Sunny: Ponies, we're going to Zephyr Heights.
North Star: That's home to the pegasi.
Izzy: But why there? I heard the pegasi are mean.
North Star: BUT… There could be a clue to what happened to the magic.
Sunny: Exactly. They have their own magic so maybe we can get some answers.
North Star: Not to give your hopes up Sunny but not even I can fly. So I wouldn't count on seeing any flying pegasi.
Sunny: Still wouldn't hurt to check it out.
North Star: Well then, let's get going! Next stop, Zephyr Heights!
