It had taken Olivia a lot of bribing to get a ticket to the fundraiser that she needed to attend, it seemed they only gave tickets to people who were going to for sure attend and had deep pockets. She had to bribe a man to get him to give up his ticket since he was a fan of Elliot Stabler. Olivia looked at herself in the mirror as she finally finished getting ready. Her reflection looked back at her, just by looking at her no one could tell she was a deadly weapon, someone sent to kill one of their friends. The black dress with a deep v plunge hung loosely off of her body as it crisscrossed in the front going to her back, as the slit in the front went up high on her leg almost to her pelvis. She wore a simple necklace and bracelet to finish off the look. She wasn't going too far out, she didn't want to stand out too much. She slipped on a pair of strappy black four-inch high heels. She had spent even less time on her hair as she did it in almost a high bun fashion.

Once she had decided that she looked decent enough she grabbed her clutch off of the dresser in her hotel room as she makes her way down to the lobby. She had ordered a car service telling them to make sure they were on time. She steps off the elevator going outside five minutes early as the car service had already shown up. A smile came across her lips, as she liked when people would show up early. The driver, a tall brown-haired man, with brown eyes and a slight limp got out of the car and opened the door for her helping her into the car before closing the door.

The drive over was in enjoyable silence as she could feel the driver's eyes staring at her. She couldn't shake the feeling but he was giving her creep vibes. When the driver finally came to a full stop he was in front of the fundraiser building. He looked outside the window, even with the darkly tinted windows; she could see the bright flashes of the cameras. She wouldn't say she was nervous, but she wasn't sure if she should have her picture taken, but she thought it would be fine as it wouldn't be a murder, it was to look like an accident. She opened her door not wanting the driver to open it as her leg stepped out of the vehicle as soon as her head came out a few flashes went off. It was surprising that people would take pictures of people even if they aren't famous, or even with someone famous. She gave a small smile to them before starting the long walk to the front door.

She smile at the man at the door as Benson handed him her ticket as another man opened the door for her. The entire room was filled with electric people moving around, buzzing, and talking with one another. This was really something that Olivia was not used to. She never had to get close to someone before or pretend to be their friend. It almost made it seem like even more of a betrayal than just being point blank and shooting them. She lightly shook her head getting the thoughts from her head as her eyes quickly scanned the room to see if she could see the mystery author. Once her eyes settled on him as he animatedly was talking with a few people she looked around trying to think of a way that the two of them could speak.

She walked over to the open bar and order a drink she looked over making sure to keep an eye on him so he wouldn't disappear and she'd have to look for him again. Once the bartender handed her the drink she gave him a small smile as she walked over making sure to walk behind him and out of his sight. She stood quietly as she waited for them to finish their conversation as they finished as they walked away she walked over towards Stabler accidentally bumping into him knocking her drink all over him.

"I am so sorry," came rushing out of her mouth as she apologized to him about getting her drink all over him as she used to hands to try and wipe the drink off of his jacket as he now reeked of alcohol. Her fingers brushed against the wet fabric of his shirt as she could feel the muscles beneath the fabric, as a faint blush coloured her cheeks.

"It is fine, it was an accident," he spoke as he pushed the drink off of him as lifted his head up looking at who had actually dumped the drink on him. He was rather surprised to see a beautiful woman and the dress that she was wearing was breathtaking. He had expected it to be an older lady. Those always seemed to be the type that would get their drinks on him. Elliot was a writer, and right now he was at a loss for words. He lightly ran his fingers through his short hair as he gently scratched the back of his head.

"Again I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to get my drink on you," insisted Olivia. She had told a lie to him about that, but really she hadn't meant to get so much on him that is soaked his shirt and jacket. She had only indented to get a bit on him, to mostly start up a conversation. He also seemed like the type that would be a bit more involved in the conversation during a meeting like this. Something that wasn't so normal. Something that was out of the ordinary, something he wouldn't predict to happen.

"I'm Olivia and you are?" she asked as a small smile graced her features, as she was okay with sticking to first names. It didn't seem like too dangerous of waters. For a split moment, Elliot's features shifted as if he was taken aback by her not knowing who he was before his features returned to being neutral.

"I'm Elliot," he smiled, as he didn't seem to mind that he was talking to someone that didn't know who he was. He put out his hand to offer a handshake, as Liv chuckled at just how formal he was being. Her hand extended out, gripping his hand in a firm shake. A sort of electricity shot through them as their hands connected before they dropped the contact.

The two of them fell into a friendly conversation, in which both of them had lost track of time. The entire time that Elliot was talking, Liv didn't really see the person that was portrayed in the file she had received. She didn't see an angry person, who would ever hit a woman, he didn't even seem like the type that would hit a woman even if she deserved it. He just didn't seem like the type that could be capable of it.

Especially in the second part of the file, he didn't seem like the kind of man that would do that, above all do something like that to his own daughter. She wasn't there to judge. Maybe that was how he got away with it, she thought to herself. When someone acts as kind-hearted as that no one would suspect them to be that kind of monster. She broke out of her thoughts when he brought up his work.

"I had actually started to shadow two detectives with the 12th precinct," he started off, as Benson was brought out of her thoughts and focused on what the writer was saying now.

"Oh really, what brought that on?" she inquired because it was a kind of a weird thing to do. In particular, since he killed his last character. But she wouldn't admit to anyone that she knew that information. Probably trying to make up for killing his character by making a new one, she thought to herself as she brought her hand to under her chin as her eyes glanced over at him.

"Well since I killed Rick Ryan, I wanted to try something new and exciting. Want to know why I killed Rick? There were no more surprised, I knew exactly what was going to happen, every moment of every scene. Kind of like these parties," he explained as Olivia hung on to every word that he was speaking. He may not know she is a fan, but it was interesting to see something from what he was thinking. Most people were very upset when he killed Rick, but Olivia saw the reasoning behind it.

"But why not just wound him, why kill him?" she inquired as that may have been the one thing she didn't understand about the entire rehash of it. Why kill a character that is so loved?

"I didn't want a backup, I want to dive into this new character and have nothing to fall back on. I want to say I gave this character everything I had and put everything into it. Don't want to have in the back of my mind that maybe I should just bring Rick back," he admitted. It was the truth; he wanted to go all out for this character.

"I actually got the idea when I was shadowing Detective Ryan and Esposito, the two detectives I was talking about earlier. There was another detective named Hale, and I was rather intrigued by her. Of course being the curious person I am I wanted to find out, why she had become a detective in the first place. I only found a boring explanation," he laughed as he continued to story. "She became one because that is what her father and grandfather were, and she wanted to follow in their footsteps," he admitted.

"That doesn't make for a very good story," she mused as she went over in her head how he could possibly make that into some of the interest and she came up blank in a matter of seconds. "Would be more interested if her mother had been murdered and the killer was never caught," she babbled without even realizing the information that she just shared with him about herself. It has been something that she never shared with anyone other than the people that knew her in the past.

The author's eyes lit up like a kid in a candy shop as he spoke.

"That would make the character so much more realistic. I want this character to have more depth than my previous ones, and that is something that could give her a bit more of an edge. What gave me the idea of a female was, that I was asked some questions because there was a murder that a person copied out of one of my books. She was killed covered in rose petals and had two sunflowers put over the top of her eyes," he stated as the story continued and Olivia stayed engaged listening to every word that left Elliot's mouth.

"It is like a red badge of honour to have a copycat in my type of genre," he quickly explained. "What really connected two cases together was a murdered man by the name of Aaron Snell. He had been killed and placed in a pentagram," he started.

"Just like out of Hell Hath No Fury," Benson interrupted as she listened to the story. He looked at her for a moment as if he was examining something about her. She got the feeling that he was but shook it off. The two continued in polite chit-chat as a woman came over the microphone bringing up a bid of the last item of the night. Since Olivia hadn't even attended for the auction she brought her attention to the woman.

"The final item of the night and to start off the bidding is Bernadette Stabler," began the perky announcer as Elliot's mother came onto the stage. He had a look of surprise on his face, as he wasn't expecting his mother to show up at the function.

"The final item is a signed first edition of Deadly Storm written by my son, Elliot Stabler, wave to everyone," she smiled as he awkwardly rose his hand. "And as a special bonus, the winner will receive an enchanting evening with my son, that's all I can offer the rest is up to you. Do we have an opening bid?" she said as Elliot couldn't believe his mother had just done that. He was engaged to another woman, how was he even going to begin to try and explain this to Delaney.

"Twenty-five hundred," a woman in blue yelled out as she looked over glancing at him. Elliot was slightly embarrassed and upset with his mother. He knew that she didn't like his fiancé but to do this was beneath her. He just knew that someone was going to bid on this and it was going to end badly. His hues turned to the woman that he had been speaking to most of the evening.

"I will pay whatever you pay if you get me out of this," he whispered, as Liv quirked an eyebrow at him.

"And what do I get out of this?" she quipped, as she folded her arms, looking at him. The bidding was continuing in the background and by the sounds of it was getting heated between two women.

"Obviously, you'll have my undying gratitude," he muttered back as Liv couldn't help but let out a laugh. He realised that wasn't going to cut it.

"I get the book and the date and maybe I will consider bidding," she challenged back. It was clear that it was the two women who were taking longer to decide if they were wanting to continue on the bid. Time was running out and Elliot needed to make a decision soon or else he might end up being fed to the sharks. He nodded his head in agreement.

"Twenty-five thousand," she yelled out, as she raised her hand to place her bid. She had jumped up over fifteen grand but decided it was best to just end it now. The two women quickly left the bids. It doesn't take long before Olivia is called the winner.

"You didn't have to put much right away," he spoke as he reached for his pocketbook.

"Found out just spending a night with you is twenty-five thousand dollars. That is one high-costing gigolo," she teased him as she got up from the seat she was in. "Don't worry I'm sure the evening will be worth every single dollar I spent," she smirked as she walked away to pay for her item and to finally get out of this dress.
