The moment that Delaney found out that Bernie had auctioned off a date with her fiancé she was on the warpath. She blew up at Bernie for undermining their relationship. Elliot wasn't quite sure what to do as he watched the two of them argue. Delaney was so angry; it was visible in her face as it started to have a red tint to it and a vein started to pop out on her forehead. Once Bernie had brought up that Elliot had agreed to it, she turned on her heel so fast as a smack came across his face. He stood there surprised that she had just hit him as she stormed out of the loft. He had a dumbfounded look on his face. He wasn't sure what had just happened it all happened so fast. He almost felt guilty that he had agreed to it, but how could he not? He spoke with the woman beforehand and she was quite extraordinary. And he sure as hell didn't want the date with someone he hadn't already spoken to.
"Are you alright, kiddo?" she asked looking at her son not exactly sure what to say to him other than asking if he was alright. Elliot hadn't even said anything in response to his mother's question. He wasn't sure what to say to her. She had a look on her face that was like the I told you so face, but she wasn't going to say it her son was already in a bad mood and she didn't need to add to it.
If it had been anyone else that won the bid he would have probably respectfully declined. He wasn't sure what made this woman different. All he knew was right now his fiancé had smacked him across the face and left. The only way he knew how to forget about it was to start to write. After he had been speaking with Olivia at the fundraiser, he noticed as he wrote it was turning more into her than his fiancé. What was it people said? If you're dating a writer and they don't write about you – good or bad – then they don't love you. Was that it starting to turn for him and Delaney? He wasn't sure. He wasn't too happy that she had hit him out of rage. Was that someone he would want to marry? This was the last time he was going to marry. The third time is the charm; if it doesn't work, he won't do it again.
He better be damn well sure. The sting from the hit felt like a ton of bricks hitting him. He hadn't expected her to react this way. How could she do that to someone she says that she loves? What does she get accomplished by doing it, other than driving him away? He chose to push those thoughts out of his head as he typed away on the computer. He didn't give Delaney another thought as his fingers flew across the keyboard typing all these thoughts and passion into the character he was exchanging with. He didn't mind so much that the character was taking a new shape into Olivia.
What was her last name? He hadn't even asked her.
He hadn't learned it during the time they had spoken, but he had learned enough to get a sense of what he wanted to have character act more like. There wasn't a problem in having a half and half character, right? Or was that just his silly though? The laptop warmed beneath his hands as he typed. He didn't know how much time had passed but he had written two chapters already. He knew there would need to be some rewriting later as he learned more about this mysterious woman. Soon the writer's mind wandered to what she was doing.

The moment Olivia Benson stepped into her room she was removing her dress as this wasn't something she did often as frankly she wasn't used to it. She made her way to the bedroom as she thought about the lovely evening she had speaking with her indented target. She didn't seem to get anything negative from him; he seemed like a happy-go-lucky guy that hadn't done anything as remotely bad as what was said in his file. The knock on the door brought her out of her thoughts, and she immediately panicked because she hadn't told anyone where she was staying. She grabbed a robe and threw it on as she grabbed her Glock off her nightstand and peeked through the peek hold seeing no one she opened the door seeing a manila envelope laying on the ground as she stared at it for a second before picking it up holding her robe to herself tightly.
The brunette brought the envelope with her into the room as she closed the door and locked it behind her. She stared at the envelope for several moments, not exactly sure if she should open it or not. She finally decided on sitting on the bed and opening the paper. She looked inside just seeing more papers, as she figured that it would be more instructions as she always felt a hard object at the bottom of it. She took out a small glass vial and she looked at it scrunching her eyebrows, before pulling the papers out and glancing over them telling her that she was to use the vial on the date, and the liquid in the vial would make it look like he had a heart attack. He was on the older side and it wasn't something that was looked for in an autopsy.
"I guess that settles that, no more dwelling on that," she thought to herself as she played with the vial in her hand. The clear liquid had a beauty to it. It didn't look dangerous or something that could kill a human being, but the way the light glistened off the liquid gave it a magical property. Liv got up from the bed as she walked over to the shredder putting the envelope through it making sure to keep her tracks lean and would ensure that nothing could be tied back to her. She turned her wrist over as she looked at the time. She wasn't sure when the author was supposed to be calling her to set up this date, but she was hoping that it would be something that she could easily slip the liquid into his food because the sooner she got this mission over with the sooner she would be paid.

Elliot finally heard the front door close as she assumed that Delaney had finally decided to finally show back up. He placed his computer off to the side as he got up walking into the front room seeing her in the kitchen, as he walked in cleared his throat and caused her to turn around shocked. The both of them didn't say anything as they two of them stood in awkward silence. Elliot didn't feel he should be starting off this conversation, and that Delaney should be starting it off by apologizing to him for what she said.
"I'm not apologizing for hitting you," she stated simply as if she had read his mind about wanting an apology. He looked up at her the hurt evident all of over his features. He wasn't even sure why she wasn't sorry, it wasn't like he had done anything wrong.
"I don't know why you are acting like this, you attacked me for no reason," he said as he was hurt and was starting to get angry. "You sometimes act like this green monster, but don't actually love what you are fighting so desperately to keep," he said as the defeat was evident in his voice. Delany closed the distance between the two of them in two quick steps, as he was sure that she was going to strike him again.
"I do love you, just because you sometimes don't like to acknowledge the fact doesn't make it any less important," she started off as she looked straight into Elliot's eyes. Elliot wasn't sure if he should have been insulted by what his fiancé had just said to him. He pushed his eyebrows together as he looked at her.
"Are you serious?" he asked as he couldn't really believe that Delaney had just said that to him. The anger laced his voice as he couldn't even believe the person that was standing in front of him. This was definitely not the woman that he had fallen in love with.
"I'm going to go to bed. Tomorrow is a new day and all of this will be behind us," she said as she gave Elliot a kiss on the cheek she had hit earlier, before walking away to the bedroom. Stabler didn't follow her as he watched her body retreat to the bedroom. He let out a sigh as he noticed the time before saying shit to himself. He was supposed to call Elliot about the date. Elliot decided this was a phone call best for outside, away from the green monster.
\O.o/
The cold air rushed onto his face the air felt good on his face as he pulled his phone out, scrolling through his contacts as he had saved it as Olivia. His finger hovered over the name for a moment before deciding to finally click on the number, bringing the phone up to his ear as he listened to the rings.
Olivia nearly tripped over herself as she reached for her phone glancing down at the screen and seeing a number that wasn't saved. She wasn't sure if it was Elliot or not, but considering she hadn't given anyone else the burner cell number it was a safe bet to be Elliot.
"Hello," she stated.
"I hope I didn't wake you," Elliot said as he started down the street, the night life of New York was different from anywhere he had been in his life, as he watched two women arguing. One was getting in the face of the other, which made Elliot think back on the rocky relationship that he has had with Delaney.
"Oh no I was waiting for your call," she spoke without thinking. She hit herself with the palm of her hand giving herself the 'you idiot' look. She hadn't even realized she was thinking it until it was out of her mouth.
Elliot wasn't sure how to react to what she said as a small smile formed on his mouth. "I'll take that as a good thing," he started off as he walked past the two women not paying attention to them at all. "So I was calling about this date that has been arranged," he chuckled. He still couldn't believe his mother had done this to him. What was he supposed to do? He couldn't even think about what to do. "What would you like to do?" he asked as he realized that he had been quiet for a long period of time.
"I'm old-fashioned," she stated starting to put her plan into motion. "I think dinner would be great," she said as she pushed her hair out of her face, getting up from the chair she was sitting in. She felt too claustrophobic in that seat as she started to pace the room. The arms were pressing into her and she didn't like the feeling since she had heard his voice.
"Dinner would be great. Somewhere that isn't too public. Don't want to upset Delaney anymore," he stated without even thinking of it as he smacked himself in the head in the same way. Olivia furrowed her brows as she was unclear as to who Delaney was, she must not have gotten to the part where this person was mentioned. She nodded her head forgetting that she was on the phone with him. This didn't seem to stop the talking.
"We can have dinner tomorrow," he said he was surprised that he wanted it that quick but he was intrigued by her. And also he could get it over faster and Delaney could get off his case about all of this.
"That sounds like a great plan. Since you have my number you can text me the details," she stated as the conversation ended and she hit the end button. The brunette moved her body towards the bed as she lay down on the bed and she looked at the ceiling. She had assumed that Delany was the fiance and she couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal towards this other woman. She was hired to take him away from her and normally she didn't have these kinds of feelings about a target, but for some reason, this one felt different.
