Queen Aleena:*off-screen* Now that Robotnik had identified my children and the Hero from Another World. He would not rest until he found them.
(Third-Person POV)
*In Robotropolis, at the castle, Robotnik was looking at a screen that had a picture of Sonic, Sonia, Manic, & Ayla in it. Sleet & Dingo were right behind him*
Dr. Robotnik: Find those hedgehogs! Or you'll get to inspect my prison personally!
Sleet: Four little hedgehogs? I still don't understand, sir. What harm could they possibly -
*Robotnik grabbed him by the collar*
Dr. Robotnik: Queen Aleena's brats and the so-called Hero from Another World could destroy everything! Find them!
*He let go & started to leave the room*
Sleet: Yes, Your Grace. Leave it to us, sir. *soon, he was gone. Dingo just stared at the image on the screen, especially at Sonia* What are you doing, you oaf?
Dingo: She's pretty.
Sleet: And you're ugly. Now let's get to work.
(Ayla's POV)
*It's already been a day since I met this world's version of my brother, Sonia, & Manic. Right now, we were staying in a safe house until we could figure out our next move. I was getting ready to prepare breakfast when suddenly, I heard Sonia scream. I already saw Sonic running towards her. Manic & I quickly followed him to her room. There, we found Sonia standing on top of her bed*
Sonia: Oh, get it away from me!
Sonic: What? What is it?
Sonia: Under the bed! Get it out! Get it out!
Manic: Get what?
*I looked under the bed & saw a small purple mouse. It scurried into a pipe when it saw me*
Ayla: It's just a mouse, Sonia.
Sonic: A mouse? Every force in Robotropolis is on our butts and your wigging out over a mouse?
Sonic & Manic: We're in trouble.
*I gave the boys a glare as they began to leave the room*
Sonia: Wait! Where's the maid? I'd like my breakfast now.
Sonic & Manic: Definitely trouble.
*I rolled my eyes & turned to Sonia*
Ayla: Just ignore them, Sonia. Come on. We have to plan our next move. I'll fix us up some breakfast. I know it won't be the gourmet 5 stars you're used too. But it's better than nothing, right?
*Sonia hopped off the bed & then gave me a hug*
Sonia: You are so sweet!
*I blushed as she let go & we left the room*
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, Sleet & Dingo were flying in a red ship over Robotropolis. Four red dots were on the main screen*
Sleet: Ooh. We've got them now?
Dingo: So now do we call Robotnik?
Sleet: To catch four little hedgehogs?
*He pulled on a lever & the ship flew towards the safe house*
(Ayla's POV)
*After breakfast, we all stood around the table, looking at the map the Oracle gave us*
Sonia: North through the Marsh of Melador and into the Badlands. Oh, gross!
Ayla: Eh. Nothing I haven't delt with before.
Sonic: So where do we wind up?
Sonia:*pointing at a spot on the map* Right here in Weslock.
*Sonic put a backpack on*
Sonic: Well, wherever it is, we gotta get outta here and fast!
*He tossed backpacks to me & Manic*
Sonia: Now? But I can't leave! Not without my matched luggage and some new clothes and -
Sonic: Sorry, this is what you get.
*He handed her a backpack*
Sonia: Does it come in purple?
Manic: Hey man, why the speed?
*I silently giggled at Sonic's behavior*
Ayla:*in her mind* No matter what world I'm in, he's still my stubborn, impatient brother.
*Sonic was about to answer Manic when suddenly, the front door was kicked open by a Swat-Bot*
Swat-Bot: PRIORITY ONE HEDGEHOGS
Ayla:*in her mind* Haven't heard that in a long time. *It began to shoot lasers at us & we all dodged them. suddenly, one of the laser beams hit the map & it caught fire**out loud* The map!
Sonic: Get in the basement! Middle of hall! I'll hold him off!
*I started to lead Sonia & Manic towards the basement. Halfway down the hall, I could hear Sonic getting his butt handed to him by the Swat-Bot*
Ayla: You guys get to the basement! I'll go help Sonic! *I ran towards the battle. I could hear Sonia calling me from behind, but I ignored her. I then activated my Ring Blades & jumped up* Hey, Swat-Butt!
*The Swat-Bot turned to me as I kicked it in the head, knocking it away from Sonic. I landed next to him*
Sonic: Ayla! I told you to go with the others!
Ayla: No way! The Oracle told me that I was supposed to protect you, Sonia, and Manic! I was given a job and I'm going to do it! So, if you think I'm going to let you battle alone, think again mister!
*Sonic looked shocked at my words. Then he smiled*
Sonic: Wow. I never thought I'd meet anyone as stubborn as me. *we both got in a fighting position* You ready to do it to it?
Ayla: Always.
*I jumped in, ready to slice it's head off, but it grabbed me before I could*
Sonic! Ayla! *he jumped in to save me, but it's head suddenly went up & spun around* Whoa, Ayla! Control panel in arm! Shut it off!
*I wriggled to try & get my arm free*
Ayla: Come on! Come on! *I then got my right a free* There! *using my Ring Blade, I jabbed it into the control panel & the Swat-Bot shut down. It's head stopped spinning* Thanks.
Sonic: No problem-o. Let's grab Sonia and Manic and blast outta here. *he grabbed me by the wrist & we went to the door to the basement, where Sonia & Manic were waiting for us* Sonia, Manic, you okay?
Sonia: Not just okay, thanks to me, a bad guy's out of commission. Down there. Isn't that great?
*She pointed to the door to the basement, which was closed*
Ayla: Uh . . . Sonia? You do realize that was our only way out, right?
Sonia: Oh . . .
Manic: I tried to tell her.
Sonic: But luckily, the bad guys have us another way.
*He pointed to a hole in the wall*
Sleet:*off-screen* Which unfortunately, you won't be able to use. *we turned & saw a gray male wolf wearing red armor**on-screen* Move back. Move back, please. *the four of us moved backwards. I stayed in front of Sonic Sonia, & Manic* I'm afraid you will have to come along with me
*Suddenly, the muscular dingo who captured Lady Windermere came through the door, slamming it on the wolf*
Dingo: I couldn't find your coat, Sonia. Huh!?
*He looked surprised to see us*
Sonic: Time for Plan B.
Manic: What's that?
Sonic: Same as Plan A. The basement.
*He grabbed Sonia & Manic by the wrists & I got out my board, which I showed them last night, & we zoomed down into the basement*
*We were now traveling through the sewers*
Sonia:*lifting her mud caked boot* I am never stepping foot in a sewer again. It's dirty. It's smelly. And it's disgusting.
Ayla: It's just mud, Sonia. It's not gonna kill you.
Manic: Hey, that's my home you're talking about, Princess.
Sonic: Oh, sorry Your Ladyship. Next time, we'll get cha a carriage. *we soon exited the sewer* Now where's the scroll?
Sonia: You actually live in the sewer?
Sonic: I'm waiting . . .
Manic: Yeah. So?
Sonia: It's just that it's so . . . Yucky!
*We soon found ourselves in a forest.
Sonic: Ahem! The scroll?
Manic: Problem. It got torched. What's left is back at the safe house.
*I face-palmed*
Ayla: I forgot about that.
Sonic: Well, then we've gotta go back!
Sonia: No, we don't. *Sonic grabbed her arm & started pulling her back into the sewer* Hey! Hey! Let me go!
Sonic: Sorry, we gotta have the scroll!
Manic: What's the matter? Is the Duchess afraid to get her feet dirty?
*He jumped into into the mud & splashed in it, getting us all covered in it*
Manic: Gross!
Sonia: If you would let me finish, we've got the scroll! *she pointed at her head* Right here. I have a photographic memory.
*Sonic went towards Manic*
Sonia: Photographic memory?
Manic: Oooh!
Ayla: You guys!
Sonia: Oh, give me a break!
*The guys then flashed huge smiles at us, like they were posing for a picture*
Sonic & Manic: Cheese!
Ayla: Oh, brother.
*A few days later, the four of us were wandering through the woods, looking for our destination. Manic was flinching at every sound*
Manic: Yo, what was that?
Ayla: It's just a bird, Manic.
Sonic: Just like the bird yesterday and the bird the day before. Sheesh!
Manic: Hey, I'm a city boy, okay?
*We all sat down on some tree routes for a break. Manic & I each took a loaf of bread out of our backpacks*
Sonia: More bread? How gourmet.
Ayla: Sorry, Sonia. But it's all we got right now.
Sonia: I know. I know. So what did you do in the city, Manic?
*He looked a little nervous at the question*
Manic: I was uh . . . In the family business. We uh . . . Moved things.
Ayla: Like import and export?
Sonic: No. Like a thief.
Sonia:*gasp* A thief!
Ayla: Seriously?
Manic:*to Sonic* How'd you know?
Sonic: Resistance. We gotta know about everybody.
*Sonia was shocked while I was mildly surprised*
Manic: Hey, don't worry, Princess. I don't steal from family.
Ayla: Who are you calling a Princess?
Sonia: Oh, I - I - I - I didn't mean -
*Sonic appeared next to her*
Sonic: We were all born with silver spoons in our mouths, Sonia. You just got to keep yours.
Manic: Yeah. I had to steal mine.
*The boys laughed. Sonia looked at me with a sigh*
Sonia: Ayla, I am so glad you're here. I would have gone crazy with just these two.
*Sonic & Manic glared at her*
Sonic & Manic: Hey!
*I giggled at them. They were an interesting bunch*
Ayla: Come on, guys. We've got a long way to go.
*We were about to start walking again, when suddenly, a antique bronze male tailless muscular lion with black eyes, shoulder length blonde hair, & wearing a large shoulder band resembling the two he wore on his wrists slung over his left shoulder, & a green piece of material held up by a belt to cover his abdomen came swinging in on a vine. He landed in front of us.
Gandar: Not all that far!
*I quickly got in front of Sonic, Sonia, & Manic*
Ayla: Who are you?
Gandar: I am Gandar. Sent by the Oracle of Delphius. I am here to train you.
Sonic: Whoa, that's perfect. Cause we're here too be trained.
*Gandar laughed*
*The next day, the sun was rising as me, Sonic, & Gandar did arm exercises*
Gandar: Left! Right! Left! Right!
*He then marched away. Me & Sonic followed him. Behind us, Sonia & Manic were so tired, they were dragging their feet*
Sonia: Couldn't training start at a more reasonable hour?
Manic: You got that right. I'm used to coming home around now.
*Sonia then sat on a rock & Manic sat on a tree root*
Gandar: Here you will develop your natural abilities and find talents hidden within you.
*Sonic then dashed around & stopped on top of the rock Sonia was sitting on*
Sonic: Could we get this show on the road while I'm still young.
Sonia: Wow. Wouldn't be ironic if you're hidden talent was patience.
*I giggled*
Ayla: Good luck it that. He wouldn't know patience if it bit him in the leg.
*Sonia & Manic laughed, but Sonic glared at me*
Sonic: What makes you say that?
Ayla: Speaking from experience.
*Gandar came up to us*
Gandar: I think now is a good time to start.
*Later, Gandar was training with Sonic*
Gandar: Once more, Sonic. *Sonic started spinning like a top* Focus. Concentrate. Now, a little faster. *Sonic went faster & started to move around* Good. Good. Now faster. Balance, Sonic. Balance.
Sonic: I'm trying! I'm trying!
*He started to lose control as he hit a rock. He then stopped spinning & sat on the ground*
Gandar: You see how important it is to keep your balance, Sonia?
Sonia: Absolutely. Otherwise, you get really dirty.
*Gandar gave her a look. Sonia stomped away with a grunt*
Gandar: Ah, yes. Well let's get started. First, speed. Sonic, see the tallest tree on the mountain over there?
*He pointed to a tree in the distance*
Sonic: Yeah. And?
Gandar: Go to that tree. *he picked up a rock* When I drop this rock, catch it before it hits the ground.
Sonic: No problem-o. *he zoomed over to the tree* Ready! *Gandar dropped the rock, but Sonic was too late to catch it. he hit a tree instead, making a cracking sound. he sat up* Next time . . . I'll get it next time.
*I winced & shook my head*
Ayla: This is gonna be a long day.
*Later, Sonic & Sonia were practicing their tornado spins. But they went out of control & hit each other, going flying. Gandar turned to Manic, who spun his drumstick & then threw it like boomerang. But it ended up going around then tree a few times & then came back in the opposite direction, hitting Manic in the head*
Gandar: Oh boy. *he turned to me. I was going through an obstacle course. I climbed up a wall, swung on a vine over a pond, walked across a balance beam, & jumped through hoops. I finished the course in record time* Very good, Ayla. Clearly you have experience with this.
Ayla: Let's just say, I had a good teacher.
*All three hedgehogs looks surprised*
(Third-Person POV
Manic:*whispering* Maybe we should be like having Ayla train us.
*Sonic & Sonia both nodded*
(Ayla's POV)
*A few hours later, me, Gandar, Sonic, & Manic was each holding a wooden plank. Sonia somersaulted over there them & kicked the planks, cracking them in half. Sonia smiled & Gandar & he winked at her. Then, Manic tried the drumstick boomerang again. This time, it came back in the direction it came & he caught it. He then threw it at a target & it hit the center bullseye*
Manic: Happenin!
*Gandar placed a hand on his shoulder & gave him a thumbs up. After that, Sonic caught the rock before it hit the ground & he stopped just before he hit the tree. Gandar & I both nodded with a smile. Then Sonia spun around like a top, picking up a rock. She then threw the rock at another rock, destroying them both*
Sonia: Yes!
*Me, Sonic, & Manic all high fived her*
Sonic: Go, sis!
Manic: Well done!
Ayla: Awesome!
*We all turned to Gandar, who smiled at us*
*Later, Sonic did a spin dash & zoomed away*
Gandar: Now you, Sonia.
Sonia: Back in a few.
*She did a tornado spin & went after Sonic*
Gandar: Manic.
Manic: I've been thinking maybe they can do better without me. *he looked at Sonic & Sonia* I mean my talents just don't exactly measure up.
Ayla: Don't be silly! You're just as much a member of the team as the rest of us.
Gandar: She's right. Leaving would be a mistake, young friend. Soon, you will find a talent that has been hidden. Use it to help your cause.
Manic: Really? What is it?
Gandar: When the time comes, you will know.
*Sonic stopped in front of us*
Sonic: So, what now Gandar?
Sonia: More super spins?
Gandar: No. Your time here is over. Now, I send you to your next teacher in Trelassa, the Land of the Clouds!
*He held up his hands & a scroll appeared*
Sonic: Who?
Sonia: Where?
Manic: When?
Ayla: What?
Gandar: Shh!
Ayla: I don't hear anything.
Gandar: Ships! Approaching fast!
*Soon, a group of shops appeared in the sky overhead*
Sonic: Robuttnik's ships!
Sleet:*off-screen* Surrender hedgehogs! You have ten seconds! *five seconds later, the main ship fired a laser at us* Five seconds, hedgehogs!
Sonic: I'll show him five seconds!
*More lasers were fired*
Ayla: At this rate, they'll destroy the forest!
Gandar: Obviously, you haven't heard about our trees.
*The ship started to land*
Sonia: He's going to get us!
Gandar: Watch!
*Just then, some flowers sprayed some green goop at one of the ships, causing it to shut down. The flowers sprayed more green goop at the ships, causing them to shut down, fall to the ground, & crash. They then sprayed at the biggest ship & it crashed*
Sonia: Amazing.
Ayla: Talk about flower power.
Gandar: Time for you to go. Use the scroll.
*He handed it to Sonia*
Sonia: Is it a map?
Gandar: In a matter of speaking.
*Sonia opened the scroll & a bright light surrounded us. The next thing I knew, we were in front of what looked like a temple. A figure wearing an orange hooded cloak was in front of us*
Sonic: Hi, guy!
*The figure then turned around & walked towards the temple*
Sonia: Should we follow him?
*The figure quickly looked back at us & kept going*
Ayla: I'm guessing, Yes.
*We followed him towards the temple & he started walking on air*
Sonic: Way past cool.
*He stepped on what looked like invisible steps & we all followed him up*
Sonia: Impressive.
Ayla: Awesome.
*We went inside the temple & entered a hallway lined with red curtains. The figure opened one of the curtains & motioned for us to enter. We entered & found ourselves in a room with four beds*
Sonia: How . . . Uncluttered.
Sonic: Easy to clean. So, do you talk or what?
*I elbowed him in the arm*
Ayla: Sonic! He's a monk!
Monk: I do indeed speak.
Manic: Whoa. Thought we were gonna have to become mimes.
Monk: Your medallions. They are a source of great power.
*Suddenly, our medallions started glowing. Sonic's blue, Sonia's pink, Manic's green, & mine white*
Sonia: Just like the night we met at the club.
Monk: But to use the power, you must find harmony among yourselves.
Sonic: Hmm, you wanna get to the point, Bud. What kind of power?
Manic: Chill, Sonic. Listen to him.
*The Monk started to gather magic in his hands*
Monk: The first power is simple. The power of music.
*The magic hit each of our medallions, causing them to glow even brighter*
Sonia: Hey!
Sonic: Whoa!
Manic: What was that?
Ayla: What's happening?
*The Monk walked to the other side of the room*
Monk: Touch your medallions. *he pointed at me* You first.
Ayla: O - Okay . . . *I touched my medallion & my microphone & speaker appeared* Wow!
*Sonic, Sonia, & Manic touched their medallions & their instruments appeared*
Sonic: Ooh!
Sonia:*trying out her keyboard* It's beautiful!
Manic: Crashin'!
Monk: They have other uses as well. *his hands started to glow with magic again* But only if you work together in harmony. *just then, everything went black**off-screen* Your first test . . . Begins now.
*When the lights came back on, we found ourselves in a different room, without our medallions. We were all confused at first. Suddenly, a giant red monster appeared before us. We all screamed*
Sonic:*to Sonia* Former boyfriend?
Sonia: Cute. Okay, what should we do?
Sonic: I'll knock him out with a Super Spin. Spin and win time!
*He started zooming around the monster. Sonia started bitting her nails while I stood in front of her, ready to protect her. Manic was looking around until he saw a locked door*
Manic: Hey, I know this lock.
Ayla: You do?
*Manic looked around until he found a nail on the floor. He picked it up & started to pick it until it opened*
Sonia: Wait, Sonic! *Sonic had just jumped at the monster, but it caught him. it then got ready to eat him* No!
*Sonia then did her own spin dash, before I could stop her. But the monster captured her too*
Ayla: Sonic! Sonia!
*Just then, there was a bright flash & we were back in the room from before. The Monk was waiting for us*
Monk: You have failed your first test. There will be no more training. *we all looked ashamed. he looked at Sonia* Your heart was good. But you used poor judgement. *he turned to me & Manic* Your actions were correct. Had you all worked together, your escape would have been a simple one.
Sonic: Oh, it was me. I got us killed.
Monk: Yes. Your impulsivness. Your rash actions. Your inability to work as a team. These will be your undoing. And may perhaps cause the end of your siblings or the Hero.
Sonia: Just a minute, buster! Sonic, may be impatient and impulsive, but he's braver than anyone I've ever met.
Monk: It is not about bravery.
Manic: Hey, you're talking about one of the best Freedom Fighters there is. He saved my butt a couple of times. You ask me, we don't need your stupid training.
Ayla: He's right. This Sonic is no different from my brother back on my world. He can be a bit of a show-off and has an ego the size of a whale. But he as a good and brave heart. *I started thinking about home* And we may have failed the test, but we're still getting the hang of our new powers and everyone makes mistakes. So, if you're not willing to give us another chance, then that's your problem.
Thelonious: Ah, you defend your brother and friend. *he took off his hood, revealing a light purple dog with yellow hair around his bald head, pink spots on his chin & black eyes* Now, that is harmony. Strive to find this in your training. Which will continue tomorrow morning. Or perhaps, before.
*He then left the room*
Sonic: Wow. You guys really stood up for me.
Sonic: Well, you saved me more than once and besides, you are my brother.
*She kissed his cheek & I hugged him*
Ayla: And technically, you're mine too.
Sonic:*to Manic* You're not gonna kiss me or hug me are you?
Manic: No way! But you are kinda cute.
*Sonia went over to her keyboard*
Sonia: Hey. We gonna let these cool instruments go to waste?
*Sonic & Manic went to their instruments & tried them out with Sonia. I hummed into my mic & then we all began to play*
*Ayla, Sonic, Sonia, & Manic singing*
