The Extraordinary Attorney Woo doesn't belong to me
What Jung Myeong Seok Saw
Jung Myeong Seok had seen a lot of things in his life. He had seen brilliant as well as stupid people, manipulative as well as naïve people, kind as well as unkind, good and bad. He had seen a lot in his life but as he and his rookie attorneys Woo Young Woo, Kwon Min Woo, Choi Su Yeon; Lee Jun Ho and Young Woo's friends Geu rami and Mr. Hairy stood the monastery kitchen he was amazed to find that he could still be surprised by people that he thought he knew.
Of course, Young Woo was brilliant, of that there was no doubt, and she could be relied on to always get the best legal argument but seeing Min Woo and Su Yeon come up with great and workable solutions (almost as fast, if not faster than Young Woo) as they spoke to the maker of the best meat noodles he'd ever eaten in his life, he was pleased to be in the company of such great minds.
He had observed the three attorneys and seen them work and he knew that they were good, they had to be in order to work at Hanbada; he had also worked with Jun Ho and knew that he was good at his job; and after tasting Mr. Hairy's food and spending time with Geu Rami he could understand how she and Young Woo could be friends, but he couldn't help the pride that swept through his whole body as he heard the three attorneys speak.

As he watched Young Woo walk away from Jun Ho instead of walking towards to him as she had been doing for the past few weeks he felt saddened. He could tell that things had changed between them and that Young Woo was trying to avoid Jun Ho, and he'd have had to be blind not to see the pained expression on Jun Ho's face when she did that. The young man was obviously in pain. He wondered what had happened between them when he'd been in the hospital, wondered and thought of asking but in the end he left it alone. He would give them some time to work it out and if they didn't then he'd interfere, although he never liked to get into other people's business, especially business of a personal nature.
Maybe that it why it hadn't worked out with Ji Su; he had probably not put in as much effort into their marriage as he should have and he had ended up hurting her deeply. He had also been hurt when the relationship ended and many times, especially lately, he wished that he could repair it but he didn't see how he could.
Myeong Seok shook his head softly as he remembered how Ji Su had left the room when Young Woo had barged in; he should have handled that situation better and maybe they could have started the repair work then, after all Ji Su had gotten on the first flight when she'd heard about his collapse, which meant that she still cared. He really should have asked her to stay and return with them. He really wished that he had said something to stop her.
He rubbed a hand over his eyes and as he put it down he saw Min Woo staring at Su Yeon. They was something going on between those two as well. He had worked with them long enough to know that Min Woo exasperated Su Yeon to no end. He was always pushing, wanting to get ahead of his colleagues, to show them up and be better, which was no easy feat with Young Woo around.
Myeong Seok had been a bit surprised when Min Woo hadn't tried to come up with reasons why he couldn't travel to Jeju Island with the rest of the team, and he'd even further been surprised at Min Woo's behaviour since they'd arrived in Hwangjisa - he seemed to just be enjoying the work as well as the island. He couldn't put a finger on it but something had shifted in the relationship between Min Woo and Su Yeon.
They seemed to be fighting a lot, which was out of character especially since, now it was Su Yeon who was almost angry yet Min Woo was almost too relaxed. As he watched Min Woo he saw the young man's face break into a tiny smile which he quickly hid when Su Yeon suddenly turned to look at him. He had never considered it but, now, as he watched his two young colleagues interact, how awkward they were, and how helpful Min Woo was being, it hit him. They liked each other; whether they were aware of it or not he couldn't be sure but he hoped that they would sort it out soon.
He looked at Young Woo and Jun Ho again, they were both miserable; while Min Woo and Su Yeon were uncomfortable. Again, he wondered if he should say something but he stopped himself, he would give them time to get to terms with their feelings, to sort it out. If that didn't happen soon, he would talk to them and make them see sense.
