The last time that DJ had done anything with Jesse's music equipment, she had gotten in trouble for recording over one of his reel to reel tapes consisting of a pancake commercial he had produced for his advertising business. He was absolutely furious with her! He had walked in on both her and Kimmy right as they were singing The Loco Motion. For this reason, Jesse was not at all looking forward to the discussion he feared he would have to have with her again. He even noticed that the red light had been turned on, which was a clear indication that she was recording. Though still young, Jesse felt that she would know better than to record over one of his precious recordings without first checking with him for blank media to record on to.

"God, help me not use my cool this time", Jesse said underneath his breath as he tried to open the door. To his surprise, though the red light was on, DJ had totally forgotten to lock the door. Or... had she purposely not done so? "If every word I said could make you laugh I'd talk forever, together na oo oo", DJ sang into the microphone. She was so focused on the music, she didn't even see Uncle Jesse walk in the studio. Jesse stood there with his jaw dropped to the floor. He knew this song all too well, as he himself had only just recorded it about 6 months before. DJ did not hit one single wrong note, did not miss a single lyric, and was not even flat one time through the entire performance. Once finished, DJ removed her headphones from her ears. "Yaaa! Oh my Lanta! Uncle Jesse, you scared the crap out of me!" "Hey! Donna Joe, watch your language." "Sorry. I know, I'm not supposed to be down here, but, I thought I..." "Deej, relax sweet heart. You're fine. I'm not going to yell at you like before, however, we do need to talk. Not about you being down here though." "Um...", DJ nervously said. "O... K? About what?" "DJ", Jesse said, "Have! Mercy! Where in the name of jewels did you learn to sing like that?" "Was it really that bad?" "DJ!", Jesse said sharply but lovingly. "That was freaking incredible! I've never heard a girl sing that song, but you knocked that thing dead out of the water! Oh my gosh that was awesome!" "Really Uncle Jesse? Thank you!" DJ almost had tears in her eyes. "DJ, you stay right here. I'll be right back in a second., and by the way, no. You're absolutely not in trouble... Not even slightly."

Jesse ran upstairs as fast as he could safely without tripping along the way on the steps. "Danny! Joey! Michelle! Becky! Get down to my studio right away!", Jesse yelled. "Jess, is everything OK?", said Danny. "OK is an understatement!", said Jesse.

Once downstairs, the family found DJ standing behind the microphone. "DJ, is the tape still in the machine?" "Yeah, it is. Why?" Jesse walked over, hit rewind, and then turning to the family, he said, "You guys, listen to this!" He then hit play. Out the studio monitors came the most angelic, most beautiful arrangement ever done by a female child of Forever.

When the recording was finished, Jesse hit the stop button, and turned to the family. You absolutely could have heard a pen drop. The sounds of crickets were deafening. "Holy..." "Michelle?" "Cow!" "Good, save!", said Danny. "I thought you were about to be grounded. Watch it!" Danny then turned to face his oldest daughter. "DJ! What in the world? You have got to be kidding us! I know you used to sing to Michelle when she was little. Remember Lollypops and Gummy Bears?" "Daaad, please!" "No, I'm serious, DJ. C'mon, sing a few lines of it for us." DJ very quietly sang a few lines. It felt so awkwerd for some reason. Probably because both she and Michelle had long since outgrown that song. "What's next, Dad? Are you going to ask me to sing the Dora the Explorer theme?" "Ewwwww!", said Michelle. "Nasty!" "Michelle, I'm kidding!", said DJ.

"DJ, you really do actually have a very very rare natural talent, in all seriousness.", Uncle Jesse said. "Yeah, maybe Stephanie will put Girl Talk back together, and you can be in the band.", said Michelle. Of course, Michelle was totally joking. Ever since the fiasco where Stephanie had knocked over the microphone stand, her pride and ego were both hurt enough she really didn't do music much anymore which was a shame, as she too was very very good. She wasn't DJ by any means, nor was she Uncle Jesse, but she definitely could carry a tune, and could play basic electric guitar. DJ was deep in thought. "DJ," said Joey, "Are you OK?" "You know," she said, "I actually was thinking about having Derek do some backing harmony with me on that song. You think he'd do it?" "I can call him and ask," said Michelle. "No promises though."
