Tony and Harriet both were happy that Rhodey had come up with a story about what had happened with the two planes that had literally attacked Tony because they hadn't been aware that it was Tony.
A few days later...
Obadiah decided to pay Tony and Harriet a visit. Tony and Harriet were eating some pizza when Obadiah arrived.
Tony knew that Obadiah made Harriet uncomfortableand he never knew why exactly until now. He was motionless as he watched Obadiah attack Harriet even though, he knew that she could kick his ass. He had never felt helpless until now and he could hear Harriet screaming for him.
Meanwhile, Pepper contacted Rhodey to see if he could check on Tony and Harriet because neither one of them were picking up their phone and she was worried.
Rhodey made his way to Tony's home and began searching for Tony and Harriet. He decided to head down to Tony's workshop and found Tony but no sign of Harriet.
"Tony, are you okay?" Rhodey asked helping Tony up off the floor.
"No! Obadiah was the responsible for me being kidnapped and giving Stark Industries a bad name." Tony said.
To say Rhodey was in shock was understatement.
"Not only that, he took Nix as a hostage and I know Nix could kick his ass! However, no one dares hurt Nix!" Tony said.
Rhodey realized that Tony hadn't just changed from captivity but also had changed when he fell in truly in love with Harriet Potter-Black who likes to call Nix.
Tony suited up and went after Obadiah.
Rhodey saw a suit hanging and said, "May be next time." Then headed out.
Tony was on his way to where the reactor was knowing that Pepper may already be there and he figured that Harriet was already there thanks to Obadiah.
At the Stark Industries Compound...
Obadiah tied Harriet up and then headed to the suit that he had created. Then he spoke to her, "I don't exactly when you and Tony met but you caused me problems; Miss Potter-Black. I had everything perfectly planned but you were the unexpected variable in my plans to take control of Stark Industries completely. "
An Harriet thought Molly, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron were bad. This Obadiah Stane was just as bad and probably had fooled Tony's father as well just as he had Tony.
At that moment, Pepper, Phil, and several agents entered the room. Pepper walked towards a noise that was in the room and she was shocked to see Harriet tied up.
Pepper and Phil immediately untied Harriet.
"Harriet, what are doing here?" Pepper questioned.
"Run!" Harriet said.
"Why?" Phil questioned.
"Just do it!" Harriet said as she took off running.
Phil and Pepper followed Harriet.
Obadiah caught up and grabbed Harriet and threw her; which caused Pepper to scream in horror.
Right at that moment, Tony swooped in and caught Harriet then started fighting Obadiah; once he sat Nix down beside Pepper and Phil.
"Tony said that you're able to kick ass?" Pepper questioned.
"I can but I wasn't expecting to to tasered by an asshole who thought that he could so power hungry to kill Tony just to get his way." Harriet stated.
Phil and Pepper blinked at that.
"What exactly did you do basically, Miss?" Phil questioned.
"I worked with the special forces in London and it was always interesting until a certain point." Harriet stated.
"Like what?" Pepper questioned.
"Let me put this way,Tony has more respect for a woman than any guy back home considering that most of the guys just wanted me for my looks and body; while Tony knew how to approach me cautiously considering I was new in town." Harriet stated.
"Don't you believe what the Press writes about Mr. Stark?" Phil asks curiously.
"No and besides, Tony can fight." Harriet stated.
"Highly doubt that?" Phil said.
"Just because Tony is consider a playboy doesn't necessarily means that he sleeps around. Although, he did try that once and I told him that I wasn't that kind of person." Harriet stated took off running towards the roof.
Phil looked at Pepper and asked, "Does she always do that?"
"I don't know but I recall whenever Tony was upset; he would always mumble that he was going to see Nix." Pepper said.
Suddenly, Tony spoke through Pepper's ear peice saying,"Pepper, overload the reactor!"
"Tony, what do you mean?" Pepper questioned
"Just do it! Nix is hit!"
"What?!" Pepper Questioned.
"Let's just say that there are times when Nix will do something completely unexpected when you least expect it."
Phil looked at Pepper and said, "How does that woman do that? I mean she was thrown clear across the room that we found her in earlier and got up. Now, she's been hit and there's a possibility of Stark protecting her."
"Tony doesn't say much about Nix like he's keeping something but the little boy named Teddy is her godson and he likes Tony that he calls him Uncle Tony." Pepper stated.
Tony was shielding Nix from the explosion of the arch reactor that his dad had built and that's how Pepper and Phil found them afterwards.
Both Tony and Harriet looked like they had taken a beating from what Pepper could tell.
The next day...
Tony and Harriet were in a room with Pepper and Phil while Rhodey was giving a little speech about what had happened at the Malibu brach of Stark Industries which was a Compound.
Pepper was putting on the finishing touches to some makeup to cover the bruises from the fight; while Phil was giving Tony a script to follow.
"Nix, take a look at this?" Tony said handing her the index card.
Harriet took the card from Tony and read it.
"What do you think, Nix?" Tony questioned.
"Well, the story seems okay but are people going to buy the story that Ironman is a bodyguard?" Harriet said.
"Nix?" Tony said.
Harriet looked at Tony and said, "Yes, Tony?"
"You're amazing, you know that, right?" Tony said.
Harriet giggled and said, "Tony, you usually say that when I've done something that's impressive or something. "
"Well, it was impressive regardless of what you went through at a young age." Tony said.
Both Phil and Pepper caught what Tony had said about Harriet who Tony calls Nix.
Harriet look at Tony and said, "Only you, Tony could say something like and still make me smile."
Tony chuckled and said, "I try because I love your smile, Nix and I enjoy being with you."
Harriet just shook her head and said, "Well, let's get this show on the road as the saying goes."
Tony chuckled.
Both Tony and Harriet walked out and stood in front of the podium; in order to answer the Press about last night's incident.
As they were answering questions left and right; the one porter that was being sleazy with her questions was Christine Everhart.
Harriet felt like marching off that podium to slap her. To Harriet, Christine Everhart was like a muggle version of Rita Skeeter; the only difference is that Harriet didn't think Riat would stoop low and sleep with guy just say that she did. In fact, she knew Rita could change into a beetle and still exaggerate her stories.
Tony noticed Harriet looked like she was ready to fight; that he said quietly, "I better get started on that gym."
Harriet looked at Tony and said quietly, "You do realize if we ever say anything that sounds like wedding vows at some point and say the certain phrase then we'll be married by magic but we'll have to wed on the same day that we said Magical vows."
Finally, the Press Conference was coming to an end and Tony uttered, "I am Ironman and she's my lady." pointing to Nix.
Harriet just smiled and kissed Tony.
"Well, that wasn't exactly how that was supposed to go." Phil stated.
"With Tony, anything is possible." Pepper said sarcastically.
Later that Night...
Tony and Harriet were enjoying a good cooked dinner that Harriet had made; when a man that looked like a pirate wearing a black trench coat entered.
Both of them were on their guard because of what had happened with Stane.
"Who are you?" Tony questioned.
"Mr. Stark? Miss? I am Nick Fury." The man stated.
Tony and Harriet looked at each other for a moment or two then faced the man named Nick Fury.
"You better explain why you are here." Harriet stated.
"I'll agree with Nix on this considering you got into our home uninvited." Tony said.
So, Fury had to explain himself to Tony Stark and the young woman who Phil had told him that she was the goddaughter of the late CEO of Black Industries and cousin of the now CEO of Black Industries. Which Nick Fury had been completely taken by surprise by the information.
When Fury was done talking to them; both Tony and Harriet spoke to each other then told Fury that they would think about what he was asking them.
Little did they know that Nick Fury was planning to use one of his agents to infiltrate Stark Industries to monitor both of them.
