Kikyo needed to get rid of Kagome. The jewel had given her a second chance, given them, a second chance, and the only thing standing in the way was her damn reincarnation. She obviously couldn't kill her, and she didn't really wish death on her. Why the jewel didn't send the girl back through the well before it sealed was beyond her. Why would it give her life and yet let the future Miko stay? They both couldn't be with Inuyasha, and Inuyasha wasn't going to make a move of fear of hurting Kagome.

Kikyo was sure, positive to the core, that it was she he wanted; it had always been her. She was a normal woman now, and she wanted to start a family.

The second issue Kikyo had to deal with was Inuyasha's lack of humanity. He still needed to become human to be with her. He already told her he would, that he still wanted to, which leads them back to their first problem.

Kagome. Kagome being the hold of the jewel and all its power, was the only one who could bless him with the gift of humanity. So how to deal with both problems?

"What do you mean I can't marry them? Sesshomaru call off you henchmen!" Kagome demanded,

"You stupid human girllllllll!" Jaken was sent flying by a black boot belonging to his master.

"This is a meaningless afraid and a waste of my time, do as you please, Miko,"

"Lord Sesshomaru, I must protest!" Jaken recovered, and everyone was slightly shocked at Jaken's outburst. Sesshomaru locked eyes with him.

"Lady mother will be most displease my Lord. I beg you to reconsider!"

"I do not care,"

Jaken waved his staff. "The Miko is not part of the Western house!"

"What does that have to do with it?" Kagome asked,

"You can't give the blessing of the West unless you are part of his house!" Jaken yelled, "And only Lord Sesshomaru can make you part of his house!" He added proudly,

"Wait, does that mean you're taking your fathers throne?" Kouga asked,

"Hn,"

"Well, shit," Kouga scratched the back of his head, "That means I have to pledge if I want to stay on my lands,"

"Your lands!" Jaken was one outburst away from exploding.

"Does that mean your mom is letting you?" Inuyasha asked with a smirk,

"Wait, you have a mother?" Kagome asked,

"Surely you are aware of how one is born, Miko,"

She glared at him. "You know what I meant, mister,"

He ignored her. "Mother wishes to mate,"

Inuyasha's jaw dropped. "You're ok with that?"

"I do not care; her life is of her own she is not my problem,"

"Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken begged,

"Wolf,"'

"Yeah yeah, I'll pledge, but what about Kagome?"

"What about her? You heard the toad; she ain't part of his house," Inuyasha said,

"Jaken, see to it," With that, Sesshomaru left; this had taken way too much of his time.

Jaken fainted.

"So? What does that mean?" Kagome asked,

"K, now who is catering to human girls," Inuyasha said under his breath. Of course, he found a rock embedded into his skull soon after.

Kikyo scanned the group as thoughts ran through her head. It had been two weeks since the defeat of Naraku, and now everyone gathered at the slayer's old home. Kikyo looked at the slayer and monk; no doubt they would web soon; it was only a matter of settling and building the slayer's home back up. Her eyes went to Rin, who was sitting with the fox kit by the fire; from her understanding, the kit would be leaving for training soon, and Rin would be bouncing between her sister and the slayer, a wise choice for the almost teen child she had followed the demon Lord way too long though she was sure Rin would return to his side.

"Are you sure you don't want to marry me!?" Kouga asked Kagome as he grabbed her hands. She quickly took them away and gave him a look of warning.

Kikyo wanted to roll her eyes but at the same time cursed her bad luck. The best course of action she figured was to set Kagome's heart on someone else, and the Wolf was at the top of her list. Of course, Kagome wasn't even interested, and the only other man in her life was the deadly brother of Inuyasha. Kikyo tapped her lips with her finger, stranger things have happened, and the up-and-coming events could be just the perfect time to rid of Kagome for good and get Inuyasha's humanity at the same time.

Yes, she needed to get Rid of Kagome, and it was at that moment she decided. She was going to push the demon Lord and Kagome together, and hey, if they kill each other in the process it still solved half her problem. She didn't have anything to lose; some time with Inuyasha was better than none at all. But she had to keep this to herself and manage this plan without suspicion that she was going so.

How hard could it be? He a taken a human as a child, why not a human as a mate?
