Chapter 2...

The moon was finally up and shining brightly throughout the now calm town of Storybrooke, the trees swaying with the cool breeze as it flowed smoothly against the leaves that decorated them, granny's diner's light's were finally shut off, the last of the customers made their way out and down the streets either to the club or the comfort of home. It was a chilly evening, the wind cut to the core to where people bundled up tight, or cuddled close to their significant others as they walked away into the darkness. On the other hand the wolf was pacing like a caged animal wanting to get out, inside the Inn that the gray haired woman ran for those who needed rooms for the day and or night, she had her trademark red cloak over her shoulders to keep her power at bay so to speak, so she didn't turn although she really didn't need that "red thing" of what Ruby would call it now that she knows how to control the wolf inside her. Still she wore it to please her grandmother's paranoia, oh how she wanted to go out for a run, it has been so long since she has felt the feel of the grass, and dirt against her paws, the wind striking through her brownish black fur as she ran swiftly through the forest, how she missed it all. Granny wouldn't allow it though, she just wants her to have a safe and quiet life without problems.

The wolf growled in annoyance looking outside to the woods that were in the distance, she turned to see granny get her guestbook out for whoever was to come in. "I don't know why you won't let me go for a run. I'm not a child anymore, why do you still treat me as such?"

"Because, like I told you before it's not safe, how about if you were to get caught up in a trap or something else?"

Ruby rolled her eyes, she walked over to the couch and plopped herself down in a huff. "There aren't any traps, Albert Spencer is banished so there is nothing to worry about anymore Gran, but here you are still forbidding me to do anything. I'm a grown ass woman that doesn't need to be coddled, besides granny, I am in complete control of my powers now, and I can change and unchange whenever I damn well please."

The elder slammed her book shut and scowled over her glasses at the young wolf. "Ruby! Do you not remember earlier, with that, that man who smacked you and was about to do more if..."

"Well it didn't happen thanks to...Alissa." Her voice trailed off while a tiny smile curved on her lips thinking about the beautiful stranger coming to her aid. "I could have taken him down myself, but I had to control it or I would have broken more than just his hand."

"Who is Alissa? Oh wait, that woman with the blue hair, lip ring and ripped jeans? The one who made a mess of my diner?"

"Oh gees gran, get over that damn kettle already. Point is that she helped me. You should be more grateful for that you know, and that I didn't make his face a bloody mess. Right?"

The older woman knew she was right, and hated when she was like this, she wrinkled her nose while reopening her book. "Yes. I...ok look, you are all I have left Ruby, it's not my fault that I get so attached, and protective, you are my baby and if anything happened to you, I just don't..." The older woman's eyes began to well up with tears, the wolf noticed and got up from the couch to her side.

"Oh granny, I understand, you're all I have left too. Well as far as family is concerned. I know Snow, Regina, Emma, and the rest are like family too, but you, you are my blood. I'm sorry that I snapped at you, but you do have to get over the fact that I'm not a child anymore." Ruby hugged the elder tight, a little too tight that granny's breathing became rattled.

"Ruby? A little too much dear."

"Oh, sorry." The wolf giggled for a moment seeing the elder shake her head and pat her chest.

"Yes, I know love."

They both stood there for a while until they were jerked from their moment to hear the door open in front of them.

The figure stood there as they regarded the two women watching her, Ruby took a double take while a grin slowly appeared on her face. "Oh what a night, funny running into you two again, now don't tell me you run the inn too now?" The husky voice rang out, but it was music to Ruby's ears.

"Well now aren't you a sight for sore eyes." The wolf exclaimed, folding her arms still smiling at the person in front of her. "Granny this is..."

"Alissa, yes I remember. Hello dear, now if I give you a room you're not going to break anything in there are you?" The older woman teased.

Ruby glared at the elder. "Granny. She didn't mean that Alissa."

The blue haired rocker chuckled amusedly at the older woman's remark. "I know. It's ok. No ma'am I promise. Scouts honor." The beautiful rocker moved to the check in table where they were standing. "How much for a room?"

"It's $25 dollars a night."

"I can do that." The rocker reached into her pocket to get her wallet out. "Well I'd like to stay mmm let's say...about three weeks? Well, for now that is."

Gran looked over her spectacles, wondering why so long. "Really? Well, with my calculations that will be about $525? Is..is that ok?."

"Totally ok, it's just...well I'll be here for a while, until I find a place of my own."

The elder took her credit card reading the name on the frontAlissa White-Gluz?Gran smiled as she charged the fees, she turned to grab a key from the wall and gave it to the pretty rocker. "So, you're planning on settling here, in Storybrooke then?"

Alissa's blue eyes moved to meet the green eyed wolf's who could not stop from smiling for some weird reason. "Uhm, yes for the time being, it's a long story, one that I may continue at another time, but right now I'm really tired and all I can think about is sleep."

"Well after what you did earlier I can see why you would be." Granny mused as she gave a wink to the weary traveler. I couldn't help but notice your last name, that's very different and quite unique. Where are you from?

"I'm Canadian, and its actually really not that different to be honest." Not to give too much info about herself she stopped before saying any more. "Alrighty ladies, well that concludes our lesson about the mysterious traveler for this evening." Alissa stated while putting her wallet away.

Granny threw a nod and chuckle. "Oh I see. Ok, dear that's fair." She then peered over at her granddaughter who looked as if she was on cloud nine." Ahem. Ruby, can you show her to the room please?"

"My pleasure gran, here, let me get your bags." The wolf said as she started to lean over.

Alissa and Ruby reached down at the same time which made their hands grab one another's, they both stopped and looked at each other for a moment gazing into one another's eyes, the rocker smirked and cleared her throat to break the ice. "Thanks, but I can get them, you don't have to do that."

Ruby got a bag ignoring her. "It's fine I got it, really."

"Oh, so you're one of those."

The wolf quirked an eyebrow at such a statement, she dropped the bag and glared, not amused at all. "One of those? What's that supposed to mean?"

"Alissa picked up her bag, swinging it around her shoulder. "Oh you know, stubborn, hard headed."

Ruby scowled while grunting, she reached for the second bag before pushing it into the rocker's chest. "I wasn't being stubborn, it was called helping."

Alissa took a hard breath as she was knocked back a bit by the forceful push. "Whoaaa. Easy there, miss She Hulk." She laughed at how she could get under the wolf's skin so easily. "I knooow you were helping, I was just teasing you."

She Hulk? Oh for crying out loud it wasn't that hard of a push. Or was it? Shit."Well I didn't find your comment very funny."

"You need to loosen up a bit Ruby." The rocker slowly stepped forward, she got close to the beautiful brunette's face again giving her that trademark smirk. "If you need help with that I know a few tricks to make you relax." Alissa breathed while biting into her lip ring.

Granny was trying so hard not to hear this flirtatious spectacle in front of her."Oh boy, ok someone is acting like they're in heat."She thought to herself on how forward Alissa was being.

The wolf blushed hard, she turned bright red which was glowing from her neck all the way up to her cheeks. "I...uhm."Why does she have to bite her lip? It's quite...sexyShe thought looking at the blue haired woman who gave her quite the look right back. "Sooo..."

Alissa wiggled her eyebrows before turning to go up the stairs, she looked back to see Ruby red as a tomato and it made her chuckle. "Well I need to know where my room is, so are you going to do me the honors of showing me or what?"

The svelte brunette groaned as she began to walk up the stairs with the seductive rocker. Granny smiled and shook her head after witnessing the display that just happened right in front of her. Ruby was always the one to make one liners, but this woman is going to give her a run for her money.

"I think Ruby has her work cut out for her with this one." Granny stated as she doodled Alissa's name into the book. The elder was getting things together for the rest of night, and was just about to go to her room until someone came through the door, gran growled as she saw who it was and wasn't too happy about it. "It's late, what are you doing here?"

"My, my gran that's what I love about you, always so obvious. Anyways, where's Ruby?"

Meanwhile the two beautiful women slowly made their way up the stairs and down the hall to the rockers door. Ruby couldn't help but smile, this stranger intrigued her, and she wanted to know more, the wolf had to choose her words carefully though knowing that this woman has a bit of a sharp tongue and probably a temper to go along with it, hence the aggression she showed toward Mike earlier.

"Ok here's your room, I uh, I hope it's comfortable for you, and well I hope you have a goodnight being tired and all, I..I think you will." The wolf was stuttering, Alissa noticed and it made her giggle."

"Do I make you nervous or something? Because if I am making you that way, then mission accomplished." The blue haired woman cooed making Ruby blush yet again.

The wolf leaned her back against the other side of the hallways wall, her arms folded across her chest looking at the shorter woman with a half lidded gaze. "You are such a smart ass you know that?"

Alissa put her bags down and saw Ruby's heated stare. "Wow, if looks could kill, and as far as me being a smartass it comes with the territory."

"Territory huh? Well as I heard someone say before, most strangers wouldn't be so nice to help others in need."

"Oook well that's not the exact words I said, but I guess whatever floats your boat on how you wanna put it." She gave a slight sigh while messing with the zipper on her jacket. "Ok fine. Thank you." Alissa smiled deviously as she began to walk upon the wolf once more who was watching her with a cat-like stare. "Speaking of territory, what was up with that woman in the diner earlier? What was her name? Dorothy or something like that?"

Ruby squeezed her arms letting her nails dig into her flesh as she was trying not to think back to their huge argument. "Can we not talk about her? Please?"

"I was just wondering cause, well not to be mean, but she came off as quite the bitch if I should be so blunt."

The wolf looked away, she chewed at the inside of her cheek trying to control herself. "Yeah that is quite blunt."

Alissa put one hand up planting it on the wall the wolf was leaning against as she got even closer. "So what's up with you two anyways? I'm sorry, but tonight just wasn't your night with assholes. That guy Mike and then that rude ass woman, I would have put her in her place right off. No one would ever talk to me that way."

Ruby shifted as her green eyes looked into that blue hypnotic gaze the other woman was giving her. "Well for one, if you must know, that rude ass woman is...my ex-girlfriend."
