Plan. He needed a plan, but the man didn't know what he was going to do. The full moon was shining upon the graveyard and his eyes were staring down at the tombstone.

OUR BELOVED

DAUGHTER & FRIEND

ISABELLA MARIE SWAN

SEPT. 13 1987 - OCT. 3 2006

You will always be in our hearts and thoughts

You were taken from us far too soon

We love you always

Daughter and friend. That's how everyone saw Isabella "Bella" Marie Swan, but no one, bar her father, knew the truth. Chief Charlie Swan found out the truth about Cold Ones/Vampires and Shapeshifters/Werewolves. That's because his granddaughter, Annabella Helen Swan, was in his arms. Bella died giving birth to her daughter. Days prior, Bella decided to tell him the truth about everything. Now, it made sense to Charlie. But the chief wasn't happy with the Cullens or that boy of theirs.

Bella was dead now and Charlie was left to raise Bella's little girl. Charlie glanced down, smiling at the sleeping child in his arms. Even though she doesn't look like an infant, Charlie knew he couldn't leave his half-human, half-vampire granddaughter alone. He was going to be there for Annabella Helen Swan and no one will make him change his mind. Hell, if he has to, he will leave Forks to protect the only person that reminds him of his dead daughter.

This was going to be a new beginning for Charlie Swan and his hybrid granddaughter.

Welcome to Mystic Falls, Virginia, said the sign that her grandfather passed by. Her head was resting on the window while the truck was filling up with soft music. The young teen wasn't too pleased since she and her gramps were forced out of their home because of the tribe not too far from Forks.

The young teen was known as Annabella Helen Swan, the only grandchild and granddaughter of ex-chief Charlie Swan. She was the daughter of Charlie's late-daughter - Isabella Swan.

Annabella has high cheekbones, perfect eyebrows, straight nose, strong jawline, and full lips, which she knows she doesn't get from her mom (she saw photos of her mother). Hell, she has bronze hair instead of brown hair like her mother and grandfather. She has pale skin, which has a blush to it. Annabella has perfect shiny pointing square teeth. If you look very closely at the young teen, you could tell her skin glows slightly in the sunlight like a back-lit alabaster. She has pink rosy cheeks, shell-pink lips, pale lavender eyelids, pink palms, and a dimpled smile.

However, she was keeping a secret that only her gramps knew: Annabella Swan was a hybrid - half-human, half-vampire. That's why her heart beat was faster than a normal human's heart beat. Her scent is a mix of vampire and human; that's how the shapeshifters found Annabella in her home in Forks.

Annabella looked over at her gramps, noticing he was thinking about something. Maybe it was the betrayal of his friends. They wanted Charlie to kill Annabella because she was the "monster" that killed Bella Swan. The young teen looked out of the window once more, thinking to herself.

Technically, she did kill her own mother since Annabella was half-vampire. Hell, Annabella wasn't supposed to be in her teens. But since she was half-vampire, her growth rate was different from normal humans.

Normal, thought Annabella with tears slowly forming in her eyes, I'm not normal. I am a monster.

"Annabella," the sad teen heard her gramps say, "You are not a monster. I told you that before."

The teen wiped her tears off her face, saying back without looking at him, "I did kill my mom, gramps. I'm not even a full human or vampire. I don't understand why you kept me, gramps."

Charlie pulled over, shutting off the red truck. He turned towards his silently crying granddaughter. Before Annabella was born, Charlie never expressed his emotions, but with Annabella, he could never hid what he's feeling from her.

"Annabella, you are family. Family is supposed to be there for each other. I know I don't say this much, but I do love you, Annabella. I would never turn you away. I will try my best to protect you like I should done with your mother. If moving from the only home I knew to protect you, then I would. That's why we moved her to Mystic Falls. No one would know our past in Forks."

Annabella smiled, placing a kiss on his cheek, "I know you love me, gramps. I'm glad you decided to raise me. Sometimes I wish mom was here with us."

Charlie nodded his head, agreeing with the young teen. He missed Bella and always wondered how Bella would be as a mother. Since the death of his daughter, his ex-wife wanted nothing to do with him, blaming him for Bella's death. Charlie wouldn't admit it out loud, but if he knew the Cullens were vampires, he would have forced Bella to move away from Forks. The only good thing that came out of the relationship was his granddaughter. He didn't care she wasn't fully human. Annabella was his granddaughter and he was going to protect her.

Annabella stepped out of the truck, looking up at her new home. Annabella wished she could go back to Forks, but there, she only had her gramps. He's the only person that she has now.

"I did sign you up for school," she heard her gramps say.

Annabella snapped her head towards him with wide eyes, "I can actually go to high school."

Charlie nodded his head with an awkward smile, "Yeah. I will drive you tomorrow since I need to search for a job. I saw a Grill in town. Maybe we can catch a bite."

Unlike Bella, Annabella wasn't embarrassed of having Charlie drive her around. And sometimes Charlie would joke about her vampire side, which makes her feel better.

"I would like that, gramps," smiled Annabella before stepping into her new home with Charlie following her.

The granddaughter stepped into the Grill before freezing in place. She could smell humans in the place, but she can also smell vampires and three other scents (tow of the scents smell similar, but different) she didn't recognize. She looked over her shoulder when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Her gramps was staring at her worriedly. Annabella shook her head, mouthing, later.

Annabella and Charlie walked over to an empty table. Annabella was casually looking around the place, knowing this place has vampires, but what were the other scents?

"Are you alright, Anna?"

"Yeah, dad," replied the young hybrid, going with their covered story.

What is their covered story?

No one would believe they are grandfather and granddaughter. So, they were thinking of what they were going to tell everyone. They pick the daughter-dad route.

The Covered Story: Annabella was in an orphanage, not knowing her parents. But few months ago, she found her "father" Charlie, well he found her. Charlie didn't know he had another "daughter" until the death of Bella Swan. Charlie decided to take custody of Annabella, having her take her "grandma" (great-grandma instead) name as her middle name - Annabella Helena Swan.

"Hello," the waiter said kindly, noticing they were new here, "I'm Matt. I have never see you two here before."

"I'm Charlie Swan, and this is my daughter, Annabella Swan. We moved into town today."

Annabella kept her glaze on the table, already knowing this person was a human. But she could smell vampires nearby. She knew that they could smell her scent. But she didn't know if the vampire - "Anna!"

The young teen snapped her head up, ordering food and drink quickly. She noticed a worried look in Matt's blue eyes. She gave him a warm smile before looking down at her phone.

Gramps. Wearh are in the movie, Annabella texted her gramps, using the code sentences.

Wearh was an Old English word meaning monster or evil spirit. It cannot be directly translated to vampire, but Charlie did learn it was used to describe vampires. The two decided to use "wearh are in movies" when Annabella scent vampires and "transfigurans" when Annabella scent shapeshifts.

Charlie quickly glanced at his phone before looking back up at Annabella. She nodded her head slightly. Charlie sighed heavily, thinking to himself, Damn. They left one town with shapeshifters and ended up in a town with vampires.

Annabella glanced back at her phone, texting him again, Not the same ones as before. Different somehow.

Annabella looked back up, noticing the look in her gramps' eyes. He opened his mouth to say something, but he was cut off by three females and two guys. The blonde female and two guys were vampires (different vampires - yes, Annabella and Charlie looked into the supernatural world and found out there were more than one race of vampires), the brown haired females were humans. But Annabella could tell one of the brown-haired females (who was glaring at her) was human, but the scent was different from a normal human.

"Hello, I'm Elena Gilbert. I would love to welcome you both to our town. If you don't mind me asking, what brings you this way?"

Annabella rolled her eyes, thinking to herself, Nosy much.

"My daughter and I moved to this today," Charlie said, not giving too much away. He was going to say more, but the look on Annabella's face made him stop.

"Well, welcome to Mystic Falls. Again, I'm Elena. These are my friends - Caroline, Bonnie, Stefan, and Damon. I'm guessing you will be starting school soon."

Annabella nodded her head slightly, not replying. It seems like Charlie noticed this, having him say, "She will start tomorrow. I'm Charlie and this is my daughter - Annabella."

Annabella noticed Bonnie wasn't the only one glaring at her; Damon was too. She ducks her head low, hearing the group leave. Now, there were two scents left in the Grill.

"You know what, I will see if we can put our food in a box and we can eat at home," Charlie said seriously, "And then we will talk there."

Far from the Swans sat two original vampires named Klaus and Rebekah Mikaelson. Klaus took a sip of his drink, eyeing Annabella Swan.

"She's not fully human or vampire, Nik. What are we going to do with her?"

His sister was right; this female, Annabella Swan, wasn't a vampire nor a human. He noticed that right away when she stepped into the Grill with her so-call father. Klaus doubts that Damon and Stefan noticed she wasn't vampire nor human. They claimed she's a vampire. But she was mixed - Mixed? Half? Was she also a hybrid, but as a vampire-human?

No, that's not possible. Vampires cannot have kids, but this new female was just that. But how?

Klaus turned towards his sister with a smirk on his face, "You're going to school and befriended Annabella Swan."
