Claimer: This is my story I wrote on AO3

Disclaimer: I don't wany any of the characters in the story.

|| Renesmee Carlie Cullen = Annabella Helen Swan ||

Also, if you don't like how I portray Elena Gilbert and her friends, don't read this book because they will be bashing and I will not change that for anyone. This is my story. And this story will be mostly about Rebekah Mikaelson and Annabella Swan (Renesemee Cullen).

Rebekah Mikaelson closed her locker, keeping her hand on it. Her eyes drifted towards the new student - Annabella Swan. Last night, after she returned home with Nik (Klaus), the two siblings talked with Elijah about Annabella Swan, who was not a full vampire or a full human.

|| Last Night ||

"I don't see why you two want to know about this Annabella Swan," Elijah commented, placing his book down, "What's so important about this human girl?"

"That's the thing, Elijah," Rebekah said, "She's not a full human or full vampire. There is something different about Annabella Swan. The guy that was with her lied about being her father. They are hiding something. And I believe they are running from something. Why would they come here? Why would she come here?"

Everyone was quiet, not sure how to answer Rebekah. Rebekah saw down on the chair, looking over at Nik. He was staring into the fireplace with his hands behind his back. They felt like Elijah didn't believe them since he didn't see or smell her scent. Nik and Rebekah knew there was something different about Annabella Swan. Rebekah was going to talk to her and try to be her friend - those were orders by Nik.

"Her vampire side doesn't spell like a Traditional Vampire," Nik commented, making both Rebekah and Elijah looked at him with shock and horror in their eyes, "Her vampire side smells like a Cold One."

"Cold One? That's impossible. No vampire, Traditional or Cold Ones, can have a child. Especially a Cold One. Their bloodlust is worse than a Traditional Vampire's bloodlust. How could one get a human pregnant?" Elijah questioned his brother. (There will no mention of Hope Mikaelson)

Rebekah stood up, looking between her brothers, "Look I don't care for humans, but I would like to stay on the low side. Will her bloodlust expose vampires to people who don't believe in vampires?"

Nik glanced over at Rebekah, "There are humans who already know about us if they come from the Founders. I need you to be her friend. If she's a threat to us, we will have to kill her."

"And if she's not a threat?"

Nik shrugged his shoulders, "We don't know if she is or not, Rebekah."

"Niklaus, we cannot just kill Annabella Swan yet," said Elijah, "I agree we need to keep an eye on this girl. I don't want to have a war with the Cold Ones, though we are faster and stronger than them. What will do do if she is half-human with Cold Ones in her veins?"

Nik glanced back at the fireplace. Neither Rebekah nor Elijah knew what Nik was thinking. Nik was an hybrid - half vampire, half-werewolf. This Annabella Swan was also a hybrid. Nik wasn't sure if he wanted to kill her off, even though she was half-Cold One.

"Rebekah," Nik straightened up, glancing over at his sister, "You need to focus on how you will become her friend. You need to find out about her heritage."

He left the front room without saying another word, leaving Rebekah and Elijah there. They shared a look, knowing their brother was going to come up with a place if Annabella Swan was a threat. But what will they do if Annabella wasn't a threat? Rebekah didn't want to say this to her brothers, but from what she saw at the Grill, the blonde didn't believe Annabella was a threat. But she knows betters. Now, it was time to become her friend to see if she is a threat or not.

|| Present ||

Rebekah shook her head, feeling her hair against her shoulders. She straightened up, walking up to Annabella Swan.

"Hi!" smiled Rebekah, having Annabella glanced at her, "I'm Rebekah Mikaelson! I would like to welcome you to Mystic Falls."

Though she was a vampire, Rebekah Mikaelson felt like her breath was taken from her. Annabella was wearing an blue jean jacket was with white tank top and blue jeans with white sneakers. Her bronze hair was in a low ponytail. Rebekah stared at Annabella Swan. From her chocolate brown eyes to her bronze hair, the Mikaelson daughter though Anabella Swan was a very gorgeous woman. Rebekah never been with a woman or even though she will have thoughts about another female like that. But there was something different about Annabella Swan that made Rebekah to actually be her friend and not because Nik told her to. And maybe even more than friends.

Annabella smiled back kindly (which made Rebekah's dead-hearted skip a beat - both females heard it), "Thanks. I'm Annabella Swan. Please call me Anna. I just moved into town yesterday with my dad. It seems like you're the only one that seems welcoming. I met Elena Gilbert and her friends. Elena seemed friendly, but I noticed how fake her smile was. Her three friends were glaring at me like I don't belong here. I don't understand."

Both Rebekah and Anabella knew she lied about why Elena and her friends were being rude, but Rebekah had a feeling about why Annabella didn't want to say anything. Rebekah decided to not say anything about her lying. Instead she said casually, walking with Annabella, "I know Elena and her friends. They think they are above everyone because they think they are popular. Caroline Forbes isn't happy with me because I became the captain of the cheerleader squad."

Annabella laughed lightly, making Rebekah smile at her laugh, "You made an enemy!"

"I know that!" laughed Rebekah, rolling her eyes, "Have you made an enemy?"

Annabella stopped walking, having the blonde woman stop a few inches ahead. Rebekah watched as Annabella looked at the ground. She, actually, felt guilty for making her upset. "I'm sorry," Rebekah said sincere, not wanting to upset her anymore.

Annabella sighed, walking with Rebekah again, "It's fine. I seemed to upset my dad's friend's tribe. They ran us out of town."

"Why?"

"I don't want to talk about it," Annabella replied,

Rebekah knew there was a story behind that. She wanted Annabella to trust her to tell her the truth. Rebekah knew Nik wanted her to make the new girl to trust her. Rebekah actually wanted to be friends with Annabella even though the other woman had Cold Ones in her veins. To Rebekah, there was more to Annabella Swan than meets the eyes. And she wants to figure out this half-Cold One.

Annabella was about to walk into the cafeteria, however, she was stopped by Elena and her friends (Caroline, Bonnie, and Stefan).

"Hey there!" Elena smiled (which Annabella knew was fake), "It's great to see you again! I was wondering if you want to sit with us during lunch. We notice you were hanging around Rebekah Mikaelson. We don't believe you should hang out with her. She's not a good person."

Annabella stood there, staring at Elena Gilbert like she was crazy. This morning, Elena and her friends were very cold towards her. But now, they want to hang out. Annabella chuckled lightly, "You're crazy. I don't want to hang out with you. You were very rude to me this morning. Why would I want to hang out with you?"

"Look. I know we came off on the wrong foot," Stefan spoke up, stepping forward, "But Elena isn't lying. You should not be-"

"You know what," Caroline cut Stefan off, stepping in front of Annabella, looking into her eyes, "You will NOT hang around Rebekah Mikaelson or her brothers."

Annabella stepped back, looking at them crazier than ever, "I don't know what happen to your eyes, but I will not stop hanging around Rebekah. She's been noticing but nice to me. I don't care what problems you guys have with her. Leave me alone!"

Annabella stepped around the gang, leaving them there. She shook her head, not believing it. She knew there were different types of vampires. And this type was trying to compel her. It wasn't going to work on her since she's half-vampire. She was actually felt hurt by this. Annabella didn't understand why they would do this to her. What do they mean Rebekah wasn't a good person (well, vampire) to be around? She shook her head, not caring. Annabella was trying the truth: Rebekah has been nothing but nice to her. Why would she abandoned the only person that wants to be her friend?

"Hey, you."

Annabella looked at Rebekah, who hook their arms together.

The blonde woman smiled sadly at her, "I heard what Elena and her gang was trying to do. Thanks for standing up for me, Anna. I promise you that I will not allow them to try to trick you to hate me. I don't have friends."

"Yeah you do! Me! We are friends!" Annabella said kindly, "I know we will be great friends!"

Rebekah's sad smile turned into a real smile, "Great! Now! Let's leave for lunch! The school lunch is so bad!"

The two girls laughed, leaving the cafeteria to eat lunch at Grill for lunch.

Annabella stepped slipped into the red trunk with a massive smile on her face. Her gramps, who was picking her up from school, raised his eyebrow at her, "What got you to so happy, Annabella?"

"I have a friend and she wants to go shopping this weekend," she replied when her gramps drove away from the school, "If that is alright?"

"Of course, Annabella. That's fine. I'm glad you made a friend," Charlie smiled before saying seriously, "I know we just got here. After you text me what you did, I did some research about Mystic Falls. It was founded in 1860 by the Fell, Forbes, Gilbert, Lockwood, and Salvatore Families. But I didn't find anything about vampires. I believe you there is vampires here, and I admit I think there is more than meets the eye for this town, Annabella. Please be careful when you go out with your new friend."

"I understand," said Annabella, "Maybe I can ask Rebekah if she knows anything about Mystic Falls."

"Maybe that will be a good idea."

Annabella looked out of the window, thinking about what her gramps said. He has to be right about a dark secret. She's not stupid: Most small towns have secrets. And she's going to find those secrets. Hopefully, it doesn't get her gramps killed.

"She cannot be compelled," was the first thing Rebekah told Nik and Elijah when she stepped into the front room. Both of them paused, slowly looking at their sister.

"What?"

"Annabella Swan," Rebekah replied, sitting on the couch, "She cannot be compelled. Your toy tried to compel Anna to stop hanging around me. I'm sure it has something to do with her being half-Cold One. She seems more like a human than a Cold One. She was around humans and her bloodlust was find. I did smell a bit of blood in her black water bottle. She's different from other Cold Ones we have met, Nik. Also there was something similar about her, but I cannot place my finger on it."

Nik hummed softly, ignoring that his sister called Caroline a toy, "Maybe I should meet her."

Rebekah stood up, placing her hands on her hips, "Don't hurt her. I don't care if you order me to be her friend. I truly want to be her friend. Anna seems very nice and not bloodlust like normal Cold Ones. Anna and I will be going shopping this weekend. And I don't want you to ruin this for me. I don't care if she's half-Cole One. I think Anna and I can be great friends."

Rebekah turned to leave, but stopped before looking at her brothers, "Oh, and her father just looked into the history of Mystic Falls. We have to keep an eye on him."

She left the front room, leaving Nik and Elijah there. Elijah turned towards Nik, saying seriously, "Niklaus, I can speak with her father if I need to. I'm guessing they know about vampires since you said the girl is a hybrid, similar to you."

Nik turned back to painting, saying seriously, "Do want you need, brother. I don't want Cold Ones coming into my town. I don't mind killing Cold Ones, but it seems like in a short time our dear sister cares for this half-Cole One. Maybe you can look into her real family to see if Annabella Swan is actually related to Charlie Swan. Let's hope who her Cold One parents are won't come here."
