Ryan stood on the deck of the boat that was heading to Duel Academy, minding his own business. The people who passed the entrance exams were on board.
As he looked out at the ocean from the side of the ship, a attractive blonde-haired girl with chocolate brown eyes and a large bust quietly came over startling him.
"I'm impressed with your victory over Crowler during the entrance exams." She told him with a sweet smile on her face. "He's not a very nice individual."
"It wasn't that hard, if you ask me." Ryan remarked honestly. "I honestly have no idea who you are."
The girl decided to introduce herself as she hadn't done so yet.
"Alexis Rhodes." She shared her name.
"I'm Ryan Walker. My hope is to be the next King of Games." He explained.
"A good goal to have." Alexis commented, excited to hear what drives him to duel.
Their eyes then became fixed on a island coming into view.
"Well, here comes Duel Academy." Ryan said.
"Let's gather our belongings and set foot on the island." Alexis walked back to her room that was below deck.
"See you on the island." Ryan told her, not bothering to turn and face her. As it would turn out, he brought very little with him.
A short time later, the boat docked at the island. The passengers disembarked and followed Dr. Crowler onto the island.
They were led into a room that was used for important announcements.
Standing in front of the passengers was a bald man in a dark red jacket. Three other individuals stood behind him. Ryan figured that these were the other teachers at the Academy.
Dr. Crowler instructed everyone to take their seats and then assumed his place with the other teachers.
The bald man then walked up, tested a microphone and began to speak.
"Greetings and welcome to Duel Academy. This school trains the next generation of duelists. Depending on how you performed in the entrance exams you will be placed in Slifer Red, Ra Yellow or Obelisk Blue. During the weekend you are free to do whatever you want."
"Now I would like to introduce our teachers. You're probably already acquainted with Dr. Crowler. He is in charge of the boys dorm for Obelisk Blue and is deputy headmaster."
Dr. Crowler expected applause from the students, but got nothing and took a seat.
"This is Sartyr. Headmaster of Ra Yellow and the Academy's chef."
Sartyr nodded and waved at the students. He had black hair and a small mustache. He also wore a yellow jacket.
"Next up is Prof. Banner. He's the head of Slifer Red and the Academy's science teacher."
"Finally, Fonda Fontaine the head nurse and gym teacher here." She thanked Sheppard for introducing her. Most of the boys looked like they were in love with her.
"With that settled, let's get everyone sorted into their dorms." Sheppard pulled out a sheet that had a list of names. Eventually he got to the Blues.
"Alexis Rhodes, Chazz Princeton and Ryan Walker step forward." The three took their places. Crowler was horrified to discover Ryan was in Obelisk Blue, but couldn't do anything at the moment.
The group then followed Crowler out of the building so he could show them their new homes.
