"Hey what's wrong you guys? Can't you make this bucket go any faster?" Agumon asks sitting on top of the boat while Tai and Joe paddled.
"What are you going to help?" Joe asks.
"Watching for icebergs." Agumon says.
"We'd gladly trade places with you but..." Gomamon begins sitting in the water at the front of the boat.
"...unfortunately our little legs won't reach the peddles." Agumon and Gomamon say together and start laughing.
The shadows of Crowmon and Charizard passed over Tai's group as they flew across the sky. Soon the boat reached the castle and Ash and Ray were waiting for them.
"Whoa! The palace is huge." Joe says as the four stare in awe.
"And way up there. As if my legs weren't tired already."
"Any chance someone lives here?" Tai asked.
"There's no way to tell it's abandoned, booby trapped or haunted." Joe began to panic after hearing this.
"Did you have to say haunted?" Tai checked his Digivice.
"But there's no doubt about it. That is Mimi. So up we go." He says and the six climb the stairs to the top.
By the time the group reached the top, they were exhausted. Ash was a different story though.
"How come you're not exhausted?" Tai questioned.
"How do they get their mail?" Joe wonders.
Just then they hear multiple voices on the other side of the door shouting things that don't make any sense. They open the door to find frogs with tube like horns attached to their bodies and big tadpole like creatures too.
"Is this a palace?" Tai asks.
"Or a loony bin?" Joe asked as well.
"Seems like both." Ash answered.
"Pika."
"Um hello." Gomamon says catching the Gekmon's attention. "Could you help us we're looking for someone." He says as they walk up to him.
"About time you got here. Where's the triple hot fudge sundae we ordered on delivery for the princess?" Gekomon asks.
"That's not us!" They shout.
"Then you must be delivering her bacon chilly cheese burger with fries and a super sized milkshake." Another Gekomon says.
"That's not us either." They say again.
"Of course not, they're delivering the garden fresh salad with low fat dressing." Another Gekomon says.
"We'd like to ask you a question if you don't mind." Tai said. He was cut off by the Gekomon shouting like crazy. Ash was then seen exiting the palace.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to look for your friend on the other side of the palace." Ash replied before the Gekomon stood in front of the door barring his path.
"Excuse me. Can I please leave? I'm going to help my friends find a girl wearing a cowboy hat."
"Pika."
"All the princess really wants is that polka dot party dress she ordered." Otamamon says.
"Old news. Now she was pink leather with matching boots and accessories." Another Otamamon says.
"No one told me that." The first Otamamon says.
"Oh get with the program." The second Otamamon says.
A second later all the Gekomon and Otamamon were arguing about orders and weren't paying attention to the DigiDestined.
"It sounds to me that this princess of theirs is extremely picky." Joe says to Tai.
"She sounds kinda spoiled if you ask me." Tai says back.
"Here she comes."
"Presenting her highness, the princess!" Gekomon shouts as the four look up at the top of the stairs.
"Cool. We're going to get to meet the princess." Tai says but then they gasp at who they saw.
"It's Mimi!" Tai and Joe say together seeing the child of Sincerity wearing a pink princess dress with the Crest of Sincerity around her neck.
"Oh bummer. What a surprise." Mimi says hold a fancy pink fur lined fan.
"You're telling me. What are you doing up there?" Tai asks.
"What do you think? I'm being a princess of course." Mimi says opening her fan in front of her.
"So you're the spoiled princess we've been hearing about." Agumon says.
"We should've known it was Mimi." Everyone says together.
"Don't call me Mimi anymore! That's 'Princess' now." Mimi says.
"Since when." Ray sweat dropped.
While Ash and Pikachu were looking around, they decided to head back to where the others were and see how they were doing.
Meanwhile far away DemiDevimon was in a creepy looking forest talking with Myotismon.
"Don't you worry oh mighty wickedness. This time we cannot fail." DemiDevimon says.
"We? You'd better not fail." Myotismon says from the portal.
"It's in the bag. Piece of cake." DemiDevimon says.
"Is the plan at the palace working?" Myotismon asks.
"Couldn't be better. The Gekomon are spoiling her rotten and she's eating it up. If she keeps this up any longer her Crest of Sincerity's going to be useless, master." DemiDevimon says.
"Do you know what will happen if you disappoint me again, DemiDevimon?" Myotismon asks.
"I've got a big idea." DemiDevimon says.
"Good. Then see that you don't." Myotismon says and disappears.
Back at the Gekomon castle Mimi brought the boys to her new bedroom.
"Well, the important thing is that you're alright." Joe says.
"Yeah, that's for sure. Well, come on. Let's get a move on." Tai says to Mimi.
"No way!" Mimi says.
"Right you wanna change first. We'll wait." Joe said.
"For what? I'm keeping this dress on." Mimi says.
"And it's beautiful, but it's not the best thing to wear to walk long distances." Agumon says.
"Walking? I have no intention of walking anywhere." Mimi said.
"Are you expecting us to carry you out of here, your majesty?" Joe asks sarcastically.
"No, I'm not going." Mimi says.
"Huh?" They all asked.
Mimi confessed that she was going to stay at the castle. She was then interrupted by Palmon having a conversation with someone.
"Really? You're from another dimension."
"Yeah, I met Tai after he was transported to my hometown." Mimi stomped over to them.
"Excuse me. Who are you and why are you talking to Palmon." Ash turned around and faced Mimi.
Mimi just stared at Ash for a few seconds before giving him a bear hug. He was on the verge of suffocating.
"Oh my, you're cute." Mimi said. Tai and Joe saw he was going to pass out.
"Stop it Mimi. You're going to suffocate him, let go." He, Joe and Ray pulled the two apart.,
"Are you okay Ash?" Joe asked.
"Yeah, thanks guys. We got off on the wrong foot so let's start over. My name's Ash Ketchum. You must be their friend Mimi."
"That's Princess Mimi. Sorry for almost suffocating you, but you're very cute."
"Something tells me Ash is real lucky when it comes to girls." Joe noted.
"Yeah, what's his secret?" Tai asked Joe.
"I get that a lot. Time for us to go." Ash replied.
"I'm not going." Mimi insisted.
"Huh?"
"Why would I leave? I am a princess here. Besides, who knows if we'll ever find our way home, so I might as well live large and in charge." Mimi said.
"You're kidding right." Ray sweat dropped.
"No way. I've got a nice bed, pretty clothes, food; it's like having a birthday every day. I am a princess. And you want me to give this all up? I don't think so?" Mimi says as if they're all stupid and couldn't see that for themselves.
"Ah great, now we aren't going anywhere." Ash sighed.
"Pika." Pikachu sighed as well.
"Okay, that's enough. This is no time for playing games. Both of you change out of those dumb clothes and let's get out of here." Tai said.
"I am not playing a game, Tai! I'm staying! You can go anytime except Ash."
"I would love to accept your offer Mimi, I really would. But I'm not staying here. My world's in danger. I hope you make the right decision." Ash made his way to the door.
"Those are kind words, but I seems I was wrong about him as well." The Gekomon all carried them to the outside of the palace and lowered a draw bridge.
The group was then led to a huge red and yellow frog with his back to us and had two horn on his shoulders with a green collar made of leaves around his neck and he had a long red hair thing with purple at the ends. Mimi's spoiled attitude wasn't helping matters though and Tai could tell she was going too far with this.
"What are you planning to do Tai?" Joe asked.
Tai and Joe tried their hand at singing hoping to wake ShogunGekomon up.
"You guys are terrible at this." Ash sweat dropped.
"Pika." Pikachu sighed.
"Okay wise guy, why don't you try and sing."
"I don't know how to." Ash admitted.
"You don't know how to?"
"Come on Ash, it's not that hard."
"If I'm being honest Joe, I don't know if I can."
"In that case, I've got another idea." Tai said. The four proceed to walk off with Ray and Falcomon following close behind. Then the Gekomon and Otamamon stop Ash.
"There's something we want to show you concerning your Digivice."
"How do you know about my Digivice?!" Ash asked, shocked.
They led him to a gallery containing pictures of a person that looked identical to Ash with a Greninja by his side.
"That's the first human to ever come to the Digital World with a Pokemon. His name was Auran Ketchum." Gekomon explained.
"He protected the Digital World for many years and was able to merge with his Greninja into ShogunGreninja."
Ash was in deep thought before he received a call from Tai.
"Yes." Ash answered.
"You guys were thrown into a dungeon." Ash spoke before hanging up.
"Alright Mimi, this has gone on long enough." He wanted to talk some sense into her.
"No, it's not polite for me to yell at a woman." Ash remembered a former traveling partner from the Sinnoh Region he had a crush on.
"Why didn't I say something to her before we parted ways." He punched the wall hard.
Later that night Mimi was asleep in her bed and it looks like she was having a bad dream.
[Dream]
Devimon and Etemon appear out of nowhere and are coming towards Mimi as she gasps in fright.
Just then the Gekomon and Otamamon appear as well.
"Hurry stop them! I've got to have your help." Mimi says.
"Sorry." They say to her.
"Gasp! Oh yeah well then I won't sing anymore!" Mimi threatens.
"Big deal. You wouldn't sing even when we did what you wanted." The middle Gekomon says.
"You're on your own." The left Gekomon says and they turn around.
"Wait don't leave me! I'll sing for you! I promise!" Mimi shouts but they disappear.
Mimi turns and sees Devimon and Etemon getting closer and Tai, Agumon, Joe, Gomamon, and Palmon appear in front of her.
"Help me please." Mimi begs.
"Sorry but we only help our friends." Tai says.
"What's wrong Mimi?" Agumon asks.
"What's the matter? I thought you were having the time of your life." Joe says and the four of them disappear.
"Palmon." Mimi says to her Digimon.
"I've gotta go now Mimi. Goodbye." Palmon says and disappears.
Devimon and Etemon continue to draw closer.
[End Dream]
"Oh won't anybody help me?! Please! Palmon! Don't leave me!" Mimi screams.
"Hey. Hey. Hey Mimi." Sora says standing by Mimi's bedside.
"Where am I?" Mimi asks.
"Do you have any idea what that horrible dream was trying to tell you Mimi?" Sora asks.
"I'm sorry. Oh I really am." Mimi says about to cry.
"Well then you know what you have to do to make things right?" Sora asks.
"Yes." Mimi says understanding what she has to do.
"That-a-girl. I knew you'd find yourself again." Sora says before Mimi eyes get blurry but when they clear she finds there's a bright green light coming from her chest.
"The crest!" Mimi says seeing her Crest of Sincerity glowing brightly. "Sora." She calls out but no one is there. Ash had a smile on his face as he and Pikachu listen from behind a door
"I guess my help's not necessary." Ash and Pikachu then decided to take a look at the painting of his ancestor in the gallery before checking his Digivice.
"My ancestor protected the Digital World for years. What's the connection between this Digivice and where did it come from?"
He then heard singing and followed it to the source. It was Mimi. She stopped when ShogunGekomon started moving.
He stood up and turned around, the ground shaking as he did so and I feel nervous that he was way too close to our friend.
"Don't panic! It's our lord and master ShogunGekomon. Finally restored to us after many centuries." The third Gekomon's voice over said.
"I was having such a nice sleep. Which one of you clowns woke me up. Or should I just squish all of ya?" ShogunGekomon threatened with a nasty look as stopped down.
A blur raced by as ShogunGekomon was slashed by two blades.
"Pick on someone your own size!" Ash yelled.
The leaves on Sceptile's arms glowed green and the Wood Gecko Pokemon slashed ShogunGekomon. This would have given Ash a chance to master digivolve, however...
"Perhaps you'd like this." ShogunGekomon fired a attack at Sceptile burying him in rubble.
"ASH!" Tai, Joe and Mimi called out in concern.
Mimi believed he was dead and chose to forgive Palmon for her behavior.
"You call that a thanks?!" Ray shouted.
"I was the one who woke you up from your sleep!" Mimi yelled.
"All that racket came from you." ShogunGekomon made his way over to Mimi but was stopped by Greymon and Ikkakumon. He sings again and blew his horns, canceling out the attacks and sending the two back on their backs.
"D.N.A. Full Charge!"
"Falcomon digivolve to...Crowmon!"
"Alright I'm done being nice. You tried to hurt my friends even though they woke you up." Ash gritted his teeth. "You're gonna pay."
He and Sceptile then proceeded to glow.
"What's going on?" Mimi asked.
"He's about to turn into a Digimon."
"Digimon."
"Ash master digivolve to!" He and Sceptile turned into a new figure. "WarSceptile!"
"That can't be Ash, can it." Mimi blinked.
(Digi-Analyzer)
"My WarSceptile form's signature attack is Leaf Hurricane."
"Time to end this." WarSceptile told MetalGreymon and Crowmon.
"Giga Destroyer!"
"Savage Emperor!"
"Leaf Hurricane!"
ShogunGekomon was caught up in the explosion, burying him in rubble.
"He deserved to hear that flat note." The others laugh at his joke.
"Ash, I had no idea you were able to master Digivolve." Mimi said.
"Well, it's in my bloodline but why was I chosen to come to the Digital World alongside my Pokemon. What's the connection?"
"Follow us. There's something you need to see." The group did so and came across a symbol of a purple star with lightning bolts at each end.
"Is that a Crest?" Joe asked.
"Not just a ordinary crest. It's the legendary Crest of Will." Gekomon explained.
"Legendary Crest of Will?" Tai questioned.
"Yes. It's a legendary crest that allows him to perform legendary Digivolution. This crest has been missing for a long time." Otamamon explained. Tai and the other Digidestined listened intently while Ash was thinking about what DemiDevimon said to him.
"So that's the reason DemiDevimon wants my crest." Ash noted.
"Pika." Pikachu said.
"That's right. Whoever is behind this intends to destroy the legendary crest and your Digivice."
"If they destroy it, then..." Mimi trailed off.
"They'll take over all three worlds." Ash continued.
"Okay you guys need to reunite with the rest of your friends." Ash spoke.
"Leave the crest search to us." Ray added.
"No Ash you can't leave. You're my best friend and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have returned to the Digital World."
"And if it wasn't for Tai, we wouldn't have reunited." Joe pointed out.
"That's true Ash. Please stay with us, you're part of the team too." Mimi pleaded.
"A fair point. But we all have our own priorities. Once the crest is found, we'll meet back up with you guys."
"Just remember. Don't give up until it's over!"
He and Ray mounted Charizard and Crowmon while the others stepped onto the boat.
Meanwhile far away from the Gekomon castle DemiDevimon was with Myotismon.
"Didn't you say you knew what would happen if you failed?" Myotismon asks.
"Well when I said that I knew I didn't really mean that I knew knew. You know what I mean? But now that I do know if it's not too much trouble sir, could I bother you for a glass of water?!" DemiDevimon asks being hung over a fireplace.
