Disclaimer: I don't own DanMachi or Naruto.

I figured that I would try something a little bit different than usual, and this is what I came up with.

Yes there will be lemons, don't know when yet, but they will be here. At the end of the chapter is the harem.

Hope you enjoy!

Elemental Nations

A very old man was laying on a bed. His once blond hair had turned a grayish white, his bright blue eyes had lost a lot of the fire that used to burn behind them.

He was surrounded by some of his kids, grandkids, and even great grandkids.

He had far outlived his wives and had even outlived a few of his kids. Yet this very morning the old man felt something.

There wasn't a lot of time left for him. He had already said goodbye to his family, and was silently awaiting the Shinigami to take his soul.

A small smile was on his face as he looked around. The time was 11:58 a.m. It had been decades since he last saw his first wife. The man had been waiting for his time to come for the last few months and it seemed the time was almost upon him.

He had done a lot in his life. He won a war, fought gods, had a family, and now he was nothing but an old man barely clinging to life.

Watching the clock silently tick away the man's smile grew.

His time was drawing ever closer. One minute had passed since he started thinking.

The world around him seemed to slow down. Seconds felt like minutes, as the man began to wonder what he could have done better.

Then the clock ticked again. 12:00 p.m. A faint ringing could be heard in the distance, the man closed his eyes one last time, and he passed.

His once unbreakable mind and unstoppable body was finally at peace.

Unknown Location

The man that had just passed, was now awake. He was laying on something, but he could tell what it was.

He raised his right hand to rub his eyes, but stopped suddenly.

His hand looked like the one he had lost almost a century ago. It was definitely his own hand and not the hand that was made as a replacement all those years ago.

Gingerly, the man felt his forehead... there were no wrinkles.

Standing up quickly, the man looked at what seemed to be a reflection of himself.

He seemed to be around 25 in age, broad shoulders, blond hair, blue eyes, and seemingly casual clothes.

Nodding his head the man then began to look around. The reflection he had just looked at seemed to disappear without even the smallest of noises.

Wherever he was it was simply beautiful. No matter the direction he looked, there was one undeniable fact, it was beautiful.

The entire area seemed to be different variations of white and yellow. The place seemed to radiate light, and there seemed to be absolutely no darkness.

"Is this heaven?" The man asked to no one in particular.

"We are not in heaven at the moment, but your deeds have granted you a permanent spot in heaven," a deep, masculine voice said. It was unlike anything the blond man had ever heard or felt. A sudden presence appeared in the direction that the voice came from, and the man froze completely.

The feeling of its presence was trillions of time greater than the strongest being he had ever met.

"W-who a-are you?" The man choked out, his body shaking violently, yet a calmness echoed through his soul. The being was too bright to see any details, and they seemed to covered in a light that made the sun seem dim.

"That is not important at the moment. Your actions and kind heart have granted you a choice. You can go to heaven and stay with your family forever, or you can protect another world," The being said, each word seemed to echo endlessly.

"I-I lost most of my strength decades ago, h-how would I be able to protect another world?," The man asked in disbelief.

"If you were to go to this other world you would be starting over," It replied.

"W-what do you mean?"

"You would be reborn, you would start over, be able to live again,"

"But then... I would forget my family..." The man trailed off as his body stopped shaking.

"I'll grant you this, you can keep all of your memories, from the very second you starting having them to the time of your death,"

"What are the drawbacks?" The man asked. In his very long life, he had learned to never take something at face value.

"There are none. Being reborn means that your body would start from square one, and I believe that is enough of a restriction,"

"I see... I'll do it, but can I request one thing?"

"Yes, its the very least I can do,"

"I want to keep Kurama with me,"

"Ah, I see. You want an old friend to accompany you on this new journey, I shall grant your request," The being said, receiving a nod from the man.

"Thank you," The man said with a deep bow.

"You don't need to thank me, your cooperation is more than enough,"

"Right... when do I leave?" The man asked as he straightened his back.

"You may leave whenever you deem necessary,"

"I see, thank you. Is there anything else before I leave?"

"One more thing, please extent your right arm towards me,"

The man nodded his head and put forth his right hand.

Then suddenly a bright light started to emanate from the palm of the man's hand.

A few minutes later the light finally died down, and the man looked at his hand.

There was a sun in the center of his palm, almost like the one he had received from the sage of six paths, but this one seemed to radiate power that was far above even the strongest he had ever felt.

Shaking his head, the man bowed once more.

"Thank you again," The man said a true smile once again on his face.

"Consider it a long delayed gift," The being said, its deep voice shaking the entire realm.

"I think its time I g- oh wait. What about my family?"

"They will be told of your decision, and I'm sure they will also he awaiting your return,"

"Thank you, I'd love to see my family again, but if I do... I wouldn't be able to leave,"

"I understand,"

"I can't thank you enough for what you've already done for me," The man said with a small smile on his lips.

"You are far more than deserving of these things," The being stated.

"Seriously, thanks again. I think its time I leave though," The man said with a foxy grin on his face.

"Very well, I hope you make the best of your new life," The being said as it outstretched its hand.

"I will!" The blond said with an eager grin.

Then a blinding light over took the area again, this time it was coming from the man's chest, and in but a moment he was gone.

"Good luck, Naruto Uzumaki," The being said before disappearing from its former position.

Two Years Later

An older man with white hair, a white beard, and a very strong build was watching over a sleeping toddler.

The kid had blond hair, and three whisker marks on his cheeks. On his right hand was an almost invisible sun-like mark.

A gentle smile was on the man's face. It had been three days since he had ended up in this village, and it had been near two years since he had been entrusted to look after the child in front of him.

The toddler then woke up from its slumber to reveal its blue eyes. It sat there for a moment and just stared at the old man.

'This is still annoying,' Naruto thought.

'You've been saying that for the last two years,' Kurama said, a foxy grin on his face.

'I know, I know. It still doesn't change anything,' Naruto replied.

The man gently started to tickle the toddler. This caused the little form of Naruto to start laughing.

It seemed to entertain the child, and before long, he was happily giggling.

The man released a deep sigh a few seconds later, and the child stopped giggling.

"You're going to be fun when you grow up, aren't you, Naruto?" The man gently asked as a kind smile found its way across his face.

Fifteen Years Later

A blond teenager was currently laying in bed, a peaceful look on his face. Then a light knocking on the door stirred the blond from his sleep.

He was around six feet tall with broad shoulders and hardened muscles. His whisker marks, and spikey blond hair complementing his blue eyes.

Cracking his eyes open, the blond sighed deeply. He drowsily tossed his blankets to the side and got out of bed.

He was wearing a light gray shirt and black pants.

The blond then began rubbing his eyes as he navigated his way to the front door. Just as he reached it, he let out a long yawn.

Shaking his head slowly he reached his hand forward and turned the door nob. When the door opened it revealed the village chief.

He was an older man with white hair that went down to his shoulders, a white beard, and kind features.

He wore a tan shirt, a light brown cloak, and deep gray pants.

"Morning chief, what's up?" The blond asked casually as he stepped outside, leaving the door open behind him.

"It's about your grandfather," The chief said, a grim look on his face.

"What happened?" Naruto asked, his face suddenly becoming serious.

"Unfortunately, the group your grandpa was traveling with got attacked by monsters, and... none of them survived," The chief said grimly.

"I see... thanks for telling me," The blond said, his eyes dimming in sadness as he absorbed the information.

"Your grandpa left a few things for you," The chief said, his voice taking on a softer tone.

"Hmm?" Naruto hummed as a small frown formed on his face.

"He left you these," The man said as he handed the two bags to Naruto's left hand. They were both relatively small, but the one on the left was almost double the size of the other bag.

"Thanks," The blond said as he gingerly took the bags from the man.

"He'd also want you to have this," The chief said as he handed Naruto what seemed to be a satchel that could be attached to the thigh.

"Thanks again, chief," Naruto said his voice somewhat monotonous.

"If you plan on leaving at any point, stop by my home to let me know before you go. I'd feel terrible if you left and I couldn't give you proper provisions," The chief said before placing his hand on Naruto's shoulder.

Naruto could only nod his head as his hands dropped to his side.

"If you need anything, and I mean anything, you know where to find me," The chief said as he released the blond.

The chief then turned around and began walking away.

Naruto was frozen in place for a few minutes before he finally started to move.

He stepped back inside and closed the front door. He then made his way back to his room.

The blond collapsed on his bed the second he was close enough, but the bags in his left hand and the satchel in his right hand were still in a tight grip.

Tears were beginning to form in his eyes, but he slowly wiped them away with his sleeve.

A choked sob left his mouth, but his tears stopped. His teeth were gritted, his eyes filled with sadness, and his body was stiff.

The blond had grown attached to his grandfather. The person who raised him, taught him of this world, and even trained him in so many things, was now gone.

The blond stared at the ceiling for what felt like hours before he finally sat up.

"I guess I'm on my own once again," Naruto mumbled as he set the bags and satchel down on the bed.

'You're not alone Naruto,' The tailed beast responded, making Naruto jump a little.

"Right, sorry Kurama," Naruto said as he opened the larger bag.

Inside he found a dark brown cloak, a rusted key, a knife in its sheath, and a golden coin.

This coin looked very very old. On one side it had what looked to be a temple and the other side looked to be a storm cloud with a lightning bolt falling from it.

Naruto slid the coin into his pocket and picked up the knife.

He unsheathed it and studied the blade for a few moments.

It had almost no wear, it was well taken care of, and the sheath was of fine leather.

Nodding his head a few times, the blond sheathed the knife and set it to the side.

Then he picked up the rusted key.

It didn't look very special, nothing really stood out about it, and Naruto couldn't think of anything that it could... go... to...

"Grandpa's room," Naruto mumbled as realization dawned on him. The blond stood up from his position on his bed and started to walk towards the door before pausing.

The other things could wait. The most important thing at the moment was the key. Speaking of which, it was gripped tightly in his left hand.

Slowly he strode through the house until he came to the door that led to his grandfather's room.

Taking a deep breath, Naruto pushed the door open.

The room wasn't very special, but one thing did stand out. There was a large chest at the foot of the bed. The lock looked like it hadn't been used in the last few weeks at the very least, maybe even longer.

Carefully stepping into the room Naruto knelt down by the chest.

Naruto gently lifted the key in his hand to the chest and pushed it forward. Naruto then twisted the key gently at first, but the lock seemed to be a bit stubborn, so Naruto put a little bit more strength into it and with a loud click, the chest was unlocked.

Naruto's breath hitched as he pushed the chest open. The only thing inside of the chest was what looked like relatively new armor.

Sorting through the armor, Naruto found a breastplate, leather gloves, leather boots, and armor for the legs.

Naruto paused for a few seconds before standing up. He put his hands in a familiar hand sign and suddenly there was two Naruto's.

The one on the left bent down to pick up the larger pieces of armor.

The one on the right closed the chest and set the key on top of it. Then he picked up what pieces were left.

The two then made their way to Naruto's room. Setting the armor down at the foot of the bed, Naruto dispelled his clone before turning his attention to what was left on his bed.

Walking along the side of his bed, Naruto grabbed the dark brown cloak and looked at it.

It was well made, sturdy too, but other than that that it wasn't very notable,

Setting the cloak down, Naruto turned his attention to the smaller bag and opened it. The only thing inside of the bag was coins.

They were, from what Naruto could tell, vallis. The currency that was used in the city that his grandfather had told him tales about.

Naruto made one more clone before he turned his attention to the leather satchel.

Naruto then started sorting through what seemed to be survival supplies.

There was a lighter, fire accelerants, some sort of first aid kit, and a map. All of which the blond sorted into his satchel for easy use.

The clone set to work counting the coins. After about an hour of counting there seemed to be roughly twenty five thousand vallis.

Once the clone finished counting, it disappeared and the original Naruto let out a deep sigh.

"Hey Kurama?"

'Yes Naruto?'

"I think its about time we started our adventure,"

'I think you're right,'

"Although I need some rest before I leave... and I also need tell the chief about my decision,"

'Right, but make sure to double check everything before going to sleep,'

"Okay... thanks Kurama, I wouldn't know what to do without you,"

The only response that the blond got was a deep chuckle from the tailed beast.

The blond then went about checking all the equipment he had received from his grandpa.

Checking everything and making sure that he was ready to depart took the better part of the day, but the most difficult thing was already taken care of, provisions.

Tomorrow was going to be a busy day for the blond, and he was looking forward to it.

Sighing deeply the blond climbed into bed, but couldn't fall asleep.

Thoughts kept passing through his mind, he couldn't save Jiraiya, the last person to truly take care of him, and now he had failed to save his grandfather.

His hands clenched and unclenched several times before he sighed deeply.

'Kurama, promise me something,'

'What is it?'

'I don't want to lose anyone else, please hold me responsible for any mistake I make,'

'I understand, I promise you that I will make sure you are held accountable for all of your mistakes,'

'Thanks Kurama... thanks,'

Naruto finally relaxed and a few minutes later sleep quickly took him, and a peaceful look over taking his features.

Next Morning

The next morning Naruto woke up before the sun had even risen. The people in the village were all early risers, and Naruto wanted to be gone before most of them were awake.

Naruto rose from his bed and stretched. Then he began to get ready for the day ahead of him. The first thing he did was put on some fresh clothes.

From there, he made a quick breakfast, and ate said breakfast even quicker.

Then he began equipping the armor. Which took far longer than it should have.

His outfit consisted of deep blue pants, a dark gray shirt, leather belt, a knife sheath, a bag full of vallis, a silver chest plate, leather gloves, leather boots, silver plates that covered his thighs, similar plates guarded his shins, a leather satchel on his right thigh which was under the armor, and a brown cloak that covered most of his body.

A sly grin spread across his face as he turned towards the door. It was just about time for him to leave.

The blond left his house, his steps quick, and his destination already decided.

He deftly made his way to the village chief's house and knocked on the door.

It took a few seconds, but then the door was pulled open to reveal a disheveled looking chief.

"Hey, I stopped by to tell you that I'll be leaving," Naruto said sheepishly, his hand scratching the back of his head.

"Its good that you stopped by... hold on for a moment," The chief said as he walked away from the door and deeper into his house.

A minute later, the chief reappeared with a single bag.

"Here, this one has some provisions," The chief said.

The bag was one that could easily be slung over one's shoulder, and Naruto rifled through it for a few seconds before he nodded his head.

"Thank you chief, I can't thank you enough for what you've done for me," Naruto said with a bow of his head.

"Just make sure to keep living," The older man said with a grin on his face.

"I will, thanks again," Naruto said as he slung the bag over his shoulder.

His next course of action was already decided, and the blond turned around and began his way out of the village.

The walk was relatively short, and soon enough Naruto had exited the village that he had grown up in.

The road he was now on was a relatively used one. It was well trodden, but it was used little more than a dozen times a year.

The blond had no interruptions for most of his day, and he managed to cover several miles before he finally stopped to make camp.

He had made his way off the road a little when he came across his first enemy.

It looked to be a green, plump, humanoid creature with large red eyes.

Naruto's instincts kicked in and he drew his knife. He silently pulled the bag over his head, so it rested on his left shoulder and ended around the right side of his ribs.

He paused for a few moments to study the creature before he began to silently approached the creature.

He stopped about one foot behind the monster, and in one fluid motion, he severed the creatures head from its body.

Blood sprayed around the area for a few seconds, but just as the head hit the ground, it exploded into dust.

In the place where the body used to be, was a gem of some kind and a fang.

"What the hell is this?" Naruto asked to no one in particular. Naruto then picked up the items and slid them into his satchel.

The tailed beast inside of him was asleep at the moment and it left Naruto mostly alone.

"I guess its something that creature drops when its killed," Naruto mumbled. He slowly closed his eyes and pushed a little bit of chakra outwards.

This allowed the blond to sense anything living in a large area. Sighing loudly the blond opened his eyes and turned to his left.

Off into the woods a little ways was another green creature.

He silently stalked off into the woods until he was within arms reach of the creature.

This time, Naruto raised the knife above his head and silently plunged it into the creature's skull.

The creature opened its mouth as if to scream, but nothing came out. Moments later, it exploded into dust leaving behind yet another gem and one more fang.

Gathering these objects, the blond then slid them into his satchel.

The man then make a familiar hand seal.

A poof of smoke later and there was an exact replica of the blond.

"Stay on guard, there's monsters all over the place," The original blond said as he walked towards a tall tree.

"Right," The clone said as it disappeared from sight, presumably to keep watch.

The real Naruto stopped at the base of a tree.

He let out a shaky breath before putting his foot on the side of the tree.

Then he lifted his other foot off the ground and set it on the tree.

Then he started to walk up the tree. It seemed like he was walking on the ground, but it was most definitely not the way physics worked.

A few seconds later and the blond was dozens of feet from the ground.

A small smile formed on his face as he stepped over to a very sturdy looking branch.

From there the blond made himself comfortable, and somehow managed to fall asleep while his clone kept watch.

I know, I know. Quite the strange first chapter.

I just wanted to get as much of the start over and done with before we got to the more important aspects of the story.

As promised the harem so far is: Ryuu, Freya, Ais, Mikoto, Hephaestus, Naaza, Riveria, Alicia, Hestia, and Artemis.

I might add one or two more characters into the harem if I feel like it, but for now this is the harem.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading, and if you enjoyed leave a review.

Until Next Time, Peace Out!
