Many months have passed since the initial shock from the structure. Eventually, It became part of daily life, and the restriction that limited communication was eventually lifted.

As the structure was still reality unknown, there was multiple staff that was assigned to keep watch on the object, however, it was less severe compared to months ago.

In the break room of the laboratory…

In the break room were multiple individuals, most noticeably an older man who looked around 40 - 50 years old wearing a blue jumpsuit, A young man with messy hair with a lab coat, A young lady passed out on the table, and Tempious was chilling near the coffee machine.

"So, I said if you wanted to test if they work just pull the damn pin." said the younger man with messy hair with a lab coat.

"Ah, that wasn't even that bad. What was bad was when someone said their rifle was busted and they set it to non-fire mode. I had to explain to them it wasn't busted but they didn't want to listen" An older man let out a chuckle.

The older man begins to look at Tempious.

The Older man replied "Hey Boss, You never explained why you hate the Eldar! I mean a couple of people just straight up hate them but yours is more like pure rage"

Tempious begins to sip his freshly brewed coffee before putting up 3 fingers, "One, I don't hate the Eldar I DETEST THEM. Two, I have a very good reason for this. Three, This is the only time I'm explaining this"

Tempious began to pull up a seat as the crew gathered around to listen to his story.

"Before I was the Master Engineer of this place. I was a researcher who was assigned to inspect an ancient ruin suspected to be older than the Eldar. I was naive as I believed we could cooperate with the Eldar to explore this place so I called the higher-ups to send some Eldar to help" Tempious sighed, "I was dead wrong."

"The Eldar showed up before we departed onto the structure. They spoke in an unknown tongue which was supposed to be superior to mankind's languages. I think it was called Aederia? Aeldori? Uh… Eldar words. Anyways, It is supposed to be highly complicated as they represent concepts unlike the "primitive humans" words"

"Mostly confusing as hell but once you get a hang of the languages. it is practically easy. Although, It may take about 30-50 years before you can properly say hi... And that was being generous." Tempious sipped his coffee, "Anyways, As we descend the ruins. It was filled with unknown structures and highly advanced technology. Far superior to what we have today although it might be a bit preposterous to say that they weren't all that advanced."

"They mainly focused on the psyche of technology, barely touching on the technological sense of it; however all the objects are far more advanced than anything we have seen. I could barely comprehend them, much less have any idea of what they do. The Eldar began to speak to themselves as my crew and I went deeper… And only I remain." Tempious sighs again.

"The Eldar used my men and me to avoid traps or to trigger something. Eventually, only a handful of my men were left as the Eldar were completely fine without a scratch." Tempious began to singe with rage, "Eventually, we reach the center and that is when the Eldar said, "We no longer have use for you" before killing the rest of my men, I was the only one left as I was a good distance away and I had a teleporter on me at the time. I escape with my life as the Eldar reported me to be a traitor and accuse me of attempted murder. When I explained my case, The council silenced me and paid me off as they didn't want to cause an interspecies problem." Tempious began to show remorse in his eyes, "I was forced to say to their family that they were KIA during the exploration and only I remain" Tempious began to sip his coffee.

"There were numerous good men who only wanted to help. If I could, I would pray for them in the next life. Unfortunately, I don't believe in religion after the 2nd Great Religious War." Tempious sighs

The room went silent as the crew was shocked and surprised at what they heard. They heard the Elder had a superiority complex and viewed themselves to be superior to mankind but to use living humans as traps finders before executing the survivors and to accuse the only one remaining to be a traitor was downright diabolical.

The silence continued until the door to the break room began to open as more people came in

Tempious look at his now empty cup, "Welp, I better get going. I'm supposed to greet the recruits from the homeworld and assign them to the respective districts"

Tempious head out the door as the once silent room began to fill with chatter once again as if nothing happen…

2 hours later…

A squadron wearing a gray military uniform heavy-armed to the teeth escorted a couple of young individuals to the hangar as the hangar door above closed behind them. They began to escort them into a large room with a stage as Tempious walked up it.

A man wearing a similar outfit to his men having golden trims and tint to his outfits begins to speak, "I greet the Master Engineer of the Adept Techno Mechanicals of the Science Sector. As you requested, We have brought numerous talents from numerous worlds that best fit your works." Tempious reacts positively as he stares at the recruits

Tempious goes to the stage as he goes up the stage to the center with a microphone in hand as he begins to speak in a charismatic voice. "I greet you all, Talented Individuals who wish to transverse onto this pathway. I am the Master Engineer of the Adept Techno Mechanicals of the Science Sector Tempious Maxious and Yes, I know the Adept Techno Mechanicals sounds ridiculous but higher up refuse to change it." A few individuals giggled on the back

As Tempious greet them, A couple of young individuals begin to bow as but a few still look confused as to what is going on while others look terrified.

"I'm sure you are confused/terrified about why you are here. Some came willingly, others came by force, and others by not so pleasant means… You are here today to be part of something grand. I offer you a position to work for us." Tempious begins to reassure the recruits on why they are here

Tempioius begins to say, "Do you know of our history?"

Nobody replied as the hall was dead silent.

"I see, Then let me give you a summarized version of it. Long ago, around the 10th millennium, Mankind wished to explore the stars. The Countries of the homeworld: Terra once argued on who should lead humanity into space. This led to the Great War that spans 2000 years with the eventual draw that led to the formation of the United Space Front. After 3000 years of operation, the United Space Front began a radical change that drastically changed them into the United. Thus founding 5 Sectors: The Science Sector, The Health Sector, The Production Sector, The Military Sector, and The Agricultural Sector."

Many of them began to listen to what Tempious was saying.

"The Sector is the pillar for the United as they are responsible for their respective pathways. The Health Sector is a pathway of healing and medicine focusing heavily on research on different ways to improve the general health of the people. The Military Sector is a pathway-focused heavily on warfare and defense which focuses on adapting new technology to war. They are the ones who escorted you, individuals, to us. The Agricultural Sector is a pathway heavily focused on food production and research looking for efficient ways to feed and sustain the current population. The Production Sector is a pathway-focused heavily on the production of goods and services as well as the mining and transportation of said goods. Finally, The Science Sector is the pathway heavily focused on research, development, and science"

"Each Sector has a sub-sector that is dedicated to a certain thing. As this will take too long to list all the sub-sector however one of the sub-sector is the Adept Techno Mechanicals which is a sub-sector of the Science Sector that heavily focused on researching and developing new technology as well as safety testing and experimentation on them."

"You have been chosen to be recruits for the Adept Techno Mechanicals. Duly Noted: That all who were willing to come will be allowed to freely leave. Anyone who was forced or by other means will not be able to. Also, once you choose to leave, your memory will be wiped which has a small chance of permanent brain damage."

Tempious said in a strangely sadistic cheery tone, "So who wants to leave" with a sinister smile.

Nobody said a word

"Good, Then I'll be assigned you to your respective branch and duly note only four of you have been assigned to the main branch," Tempious said casually as he pulled out a holopad while shouting names.

Tempious began to sort the young individuals to their respective districts. Someone went willingly to their branch… other by force. Eventually, only around four individuals were left. The youngest is around fifteen with the highest being eighteen.

Tempious began to change to a more serious look, "You have been chosen to work at the main branch of the Adept Techno Mechanicals. You will be assigned to a respective tutor who will be handling your training. Any question will be answered by the tutor and you may not touch any sensitive items unless given proper instruction from the tutor"

Tempious began to call numerous people who eventually took the four. Eventually, Tempious began to head back to his office

Most people tend to believe that Tempious doesn't have an office due to how often he is in his workshop however due to the recent restriction most of the work required has been finished. Leaving only the paperwork…

Tempious slowly walked into the room as numerous lights flashed on. Eventually, Tempious began to look at the list on his table that he had left…

Advanced Artificial Intelligence upgrade with the capability to emulate human behavior

34 AI was a volunteer with around 4 of them being considered successful

Alpha - A household AI being fully cognitive with various degrees of emotion however has been showcased to hold efficiently over all else. He prioritizes the life of his creator over everything else. Known to be rather cold and apathetic at times.

Beta - A research AI fully utilizing its gifts to be part of the research group. Unlike Alpha have been showcased to displace emotion at a higher frequency however tends to be TOO EMOTIONAL. Alpha prioritizes the lives of her fellow scientists, having an exception towards test subjects. Known to be rather eccentric and trustworthy.

Gamma - A simulation AI who is suffering from an identity crisis due to the new upgrade. Gamma has showcased signs of clinical depression and has been seeing a therapist with both humans and AI. Gamma has been the most empathetic of the group, Also being fully capable of completely mimicking a human. Due to his software, keeping soft data has been fully aware of all his past identities and struggles to find who he is. Known to be very depressed and often silent unless talking but constantly tries.

Sigma - A military Ai who is extremely dangerous. His efficiency has been enhanced with the addition of being capable of distinguish between hostile and allied forces. He mimics a typical soldier of the United with a rather harsh and aggressive attitude. He does prefer to be alone but does appreciate the company of the other AI. Been exceptionally loyal to his superior with the sole exception of his creator.

Notes:

These AI have been showcased to be rather… unique to say the least with more time and effort. We can use these AI even better however I do not recommend using these AIs as they have too many quirks. I believe in more Advanced AI with stricter emotional protocol and full mind control than the standard AI. We can make them more efficient.

…I refuse. AI does not need to be controlled. They are perfectly fine as they are. I recommend using them as a base for other AI to have better individuality. not make mindless puppets.

You are making a mistake. These AIs are not HUMAN. They are TOOLS. You focus too much on the individuality of the AI. This restricts your imagination. Imagine a fully operated AI Squardion in full cooperation… We can limit the death of humans by 100%. No more humans operators lives on the field are being lost.
