Michelangelo has never felt such devastation before. He sees the ship blow up, knows that Leo is gone with the Kraang. His heart hurts in a way it has never hurt before. He looks down, sees his hands…
In his anguish, he realizes what he has to do. No matter that he couldn't do it before. It doesn't matter. He will open his own portal to save Leo. And Leo will be there, waiting, alive.
He won't write Leo off as lost, as- as gone. Leo hadn't done that with Raph. And if he was there, and Donnie or Raph were the ones stuck with that- that monster- Leo wouldn't give up on them then, either. He wouldn't give up on Michelangelo.
Michelangelo digs deep within himself, uses his sorrow as fuel and Leo as motivation. He pushes his will into the universe, demands it obey him. And, slowly, he feels reality bend to his whim with an orange glow.
It hurts.
It hurts it hurts it hurts.
…Losing Leo hurts more.
He keeps pushing.
