As Michael is escaping the burning building, something grabs his leg and trips him. He looks to see what tripped him only to lock eyes with the monster who had been tormenting him all week: his father William, who was fused with one of the original restaurant's animatronics. The animatronic suit was that of a yellow rabbit and was covered in tears, revealing the corpse that lay inside. Michael had noticed that his own father was trapped under a collapsed part of the roof and he isn't letting him escape so easily. Michael had to act quickly, so he grabbed an axe that was nearby and used it to chop off the rabbit's lower left arm.
The exit was thankfully nearby, Michael had ran out of the building just in time as a supporting beam had fell and blocked it off. Michael was relieved to be in the cool early air of Gravity Falls, Oregon after being stuck in the burning building. That sense of relief was short-lived tho as Michael had noticed that the amputated lower arm of his father was still tightly gripped around his leg. An overwhelming sense of dread had washed over him knowing that the fire wasn't enough. Michael decided that it was best if he left the area before someone spots him, so he started his way to the nearby woods away from the burning building.

By the time Dipper had made it into the kitchen in the morning, he had noticed his great uncle Stan was in a celebratory mood while he was reading the newspaper.
"What's gotten you into such a good mood?" Dipper asked
"Take a look at this." Stan said as he set the newspaper on the table, revealing the headline.
The headline reads: Fazbear's Fright Burns Down to the Ground Before it was Set to Open.
"Now that pizza-theme horror attraction will never take customers from the Mystery Shack." Stan continued.
"Grunkle Stan, were you behind this fire?" Dipper asked with a bit of worry in his voice.
"What are you, the cops or something? I promise that I didn't start that fire" Stan replied. "And if you're wondering where ol' Pointdexter is, he is in the basement probably taking down that portal or something."
Shortly after Stan had finished talking, Mabel had entered the kitchen wearing her backpack with her trusty grappling hook sticking out of it.
Stan asked "Where are you heading off to?"
"Me and Dipper are going to explore an abandoned cabin that he had found near the shack the other day." Mabel replied.
"Oh yea, I was going to tell you that me and Mabel were going to check if there is anything weird with that cabin." Dipper expressed.
"Just try not to raise the dead again, I'm still finding little bits of zombie around the shack." Stan insisted.
"I won't!" Dipper promised as he left the kitchen. After he had grabbed his backpack and journal, he and Mabel started their journey to the abandoned cabin.
