Chapter 42: Devoted Hummus

Whilst Happy and the group were getting ever so close to finding their folks, Sid Seudo was spying on them without alerting his presence. Meanwhile, Manfred, Crusta and their two new accomplices were trying to find a way out of here as Major Cinnamon ran away in a cowardly manner. As for Morgan and her accomplices, they were about to get a nasty surprise from a Pokemon they were not expecting.

Speaking of, in Block A, they were excited to reach the room they believed to be their "exit ticket" until they were stopped by a small figure, being no bigger than them wearing a light-blue cloak and a hood over its face.

Morgan: W-What the?!

?: …You've made a grave mistake. Turn back now, or you'll be sorry.

Dylan: What…?

Hummus lifted her hood to reveal her face, which gained a laugh out of Morgan and confusion from the other three.

Morgan: *chuckles, laughs* …You've gotta be joking! We took on a big rodent and an even smaller sea urchin, and now this little lizard is going to be our opponent? *laughs, points* How can you be that threatening? *laughs*

Hummus: Someone must've not told you that size doesn't matter in a fight.

Morgan: Oh, really? In "what" regard? *snickers, laughs*

Hummus: …How arrogant of you. I want your silence.

Emma: M-M-Maybe she's s-stronger than she looks…?

Dylan: I have to agree. And not to mention, that cloak's color is different from the ones we've faced so far.

Morgan: Oh, please! That other guy hardly put up a fight, but at least he was smart in some way. This one on the other hand is acting tough! Are colors supposed to represent strength? Give me a break!

Dylan: …You know what? Never mind. I think I'm going to sit this one out.

Emma: M-M-Morgan…Please don't fight…! You could get hurt…

Morgan: Screw you all, then! I'll prove you guys wrong!

Hummus was not impressed by her foolish bravado and instead took on a fighting stance with one knife in her mouth and the other one held in her tail. Morgan also took a stance of her own, arms ready with a cocky grin on her face. Everyone else was standing somewhat far away, not even so much as lifting a finger to help Morgan.

Morgan: *chuckles* (...I'll show them…I'll show them that this small-fry in a blue cloak is nothing but hot air…!)

As Morgan dashed forward, Hummus rushed at a quicker rate, which took her completely by surprise. Before she could defend herself, Hummus delivered a headbutt to her abdomen, bouncing her a few feet on her back. As she got back up, Hummus was already in her face, swinging a knife at such speed that put her on guard. She narrowly dodged the knife strikes, but she was also receiving thin cuts to her face. Her speed and display of fighting skill shocked the other three.

Dylan: S-So fast! That Pokemon is in a completely different league compared to Sergeant Sushi!

Wire: Whoa…Think, warmth, cold, few, sunshines…!

All Morgan could do at this point was dodge her attacks and hope that she wasn't going to receive another hit.

Morgan: (...Shit…! This little thing is fast…! I can't even land a hit on her…! I'm being forced on the defense…! What is it with her…?!)

As Morgan got the chance, she threw a punch, but Hummus was too fast and dropped the knife from her tail to deliver an attack, which was a tail coated in iron that struck Morgan in the face, knocking her back a few feet on her back. Her mouth was trickling blood and was struggling to get back up as she realized that this Pokemon was no "weakling". However, Hummus was upon her chest and pointed a knife at her face, with her eyes in wide shock.

Hummus: …Want to take those words back?

Morgan: …Kiss…my ass…!

Morgan tried to grab Hummus, but she was not quick enough as Hummus jumped off her chest and delivered an ironclad tail slam to her face, knocking her out cold.

Dylan: …That idiot.

Hummus: …Stupid girl. Arrogance is the folly of your actions. You three were smart to not suffer like she did. Unfortunately, we'll have to hold you down in our facility in Block X. So will you go along quietly, or will you die a death a thousand times worse than this one?

Dylan: Damn…! We have no choice…We'll have to succumb…Fine. We get the point. We'll go along peacefully…

Wire: Dire, abomination, straight dimensions, alternate life…

...

Ten minutes later down in Block X's holding facility, Zamenza and the others were still waiting for a way to get out…or prepare for their execution when they received some guests that were in chains. Four Pokemon were then placed into the room with them by cloaked Pokemon before they left the room, drawing their curiosity towards them. They were Pokemon that Tanner and Mr. P could recognize, except for the green Eiscue, who looked down the entire time and said nothing. The sight of the green Electivire made Tanner roll his eyes in annoyance.

Zamenza: Huzzah! More Pokemon to the execution party!

The entire room gave blank looks at him. Only Moody gave him an "I'm disappointed, but you're my friend" look.

Moody: …You know, if I wasn't in chains right now, I'd slap you for that.

Zamenza: *sweat drop* …Just trying to lighten the mood…

Moody: Then stop trying to dampen it.

Zamenza: (...Sheesh…! The more Pokemon come in here, the more unbearable the mood is here…!)

Dylan: …So, this is an execution cell. Way to go, Morgan. You had to be an ass.

Zamenza looked towards Morgan, who was still unconscious.

Zamenza: …I'm guessing that's Morgan, then. What brought you down here?

Dylan: Well…we- …No, Morgan faced off against a Helioptile who wore a light-blue cloak. Despite her size, she's actually strong! We never fought her since Morgan failed to heed my warning, and Emma's over there.

Wire: Lost, migration flow, cave, darkness.

Upon hearing Wire's voice ring into his head once again, Tanner cracked under the pressure, and without warning, he began to scream and grovel to the floor in a hysterical voice, shouting...

Tanner: Stop! Please! Please stop! Tell that guy over there to stop talking! *whimpering laugh*

Wire could only tilt his head in confusion but could understand what he was saying.

Moody: Well, that was…something.

Zamenza: I say, we're getting along quite well. I wonder if there are more fighters coming down here any time soon…

Unhaus: I highly doubt it.

Zamenza: (...Happy…Charles…Baye…We're counting on you…)

...

In Block G, Colonel Hummus was down the hall calling Brigadier Chan Way, informing him of her takedown.

Hummus: Brigadier, I've taken care of those four troublemakers and placed them in Block X's holding facility. The sparring session paid off.

Chan Way: *sighs* Oh, thank Arceus…Colonel, I'm sorry to have sent you off to deal with them, since some of our other members are unable to do so.

Hummus: That's alright. Now, I'll take care of the other four that Major Cinnamon failed to subdue. Give me their location and I shall do the rest.

Chan Way: Right.

He flicked through the monitor, in which four dots were located in Block Q.

Chan Way: They are in Block Q.

Hummus: …Noted. Hummus out.

She ended the communication, taking off while having something on her mind.

Hummus: (...I wonder what happened to Major Cinnamon…)

...

Meanwhile, back to where Happy and the group were, Metalchemist and the Porygon trio were attempting to bypass Doctor Sorbet's security password. As they got started, Program's eyes were without pupils, followed by Pukupuku and Plover's eyes, as if they were in some sort of trance. Pukupuku's body started glowing a blue hue, whilst Plover's body was creating small sparks of electricity that wrapped around Program and Pukupuku's bodies. In turn, Program and Plover's bodies were surrounded by a blue hue mixed with electricity, forming some sort of connection between the trio.

Their eyes were then displaying numbers and letters faster than the eyes alone could read, and within that moment, they stopped glowing and surging with electricity. The monitor on the back of Program's head was on, and this time, it was displaying a grid map, proving that it worked.

Pukupuku: There. We have successfully disabled the access code and can run the grid now. It's up to you this time.

Happy: Alright! We did it! We did it! We can go find Grandpa and our friends!

Deion: But first, could you run a grid for where my younger brother is? He's a Duskull.

Program's monitor ran by itself, tracking data on where the species named "Duskull" was and found one match, which was in Block C. Pukupuku luckily can interpret what Program couldn't say.

Pukupuku: It seems that one is located in Block C.

Baye then had an idea.

Baye: Oh! Um…Mr. Deion? Could you…do us a favor? There's a Pokemon we were looking for, but could never really get there. Her name is Eve, and she's an Eevee with a white coat.

Deion: I shall find her to the best of my ability.

Metalchemist: Block C is where children are kept. If possible, the one you seek called "Eve" might be there.

Program's monitor displayed the same screen, but it also traced the name "Eevee" and got one result.

Pukupuku: An Eevee is located in Block C.

Baye: Yes!

Deion: And that is my cue to leave.

Baye: Mr. Deion…Will you be alright on your own?

Deion: I will. I am a Pokemon of the shadows, after all.

He then disappeared out of thin air in front of them, taking the trio by surprise.

Baye: H-He's…gone!

Charles: It's like watching a magician in his latest disappearance act!

Metalchemist: Now, let's trace where your friends are.

Happy: Hold on, Mr. Red. Baye, why not go ahead and track your parents first? Aren't you willing to see them?

Baye: Oh, yeah…

Metalchemist: Parent Pokemon are usually located in Block P's facility.

Baye: *sweat drop* (...Is it me, or do the block letters have some sort of obvious…purpose…?)

Pukupuku: What Pokemon are they?

Baye: Hmm…I know my mom's a Chikorita, and my dad's a Meganium.

Pukupuku: Program, if you will?

The monitor on the back of Program's head went straight to Block P, and got two results.

Pukupuku: There are two results. One of them is a Chikorita, and the other, a Meganium.

Baye began to smile, knowing that this would be the chance to reunite with her family once again.

Baye: Alright! Now we'll find out where our friends are!

Pukupuku: What Pokemon are they?

Baye: Hmm…I'd say a…Tangela?

Program's monitor ran a search with the word "Tangela" in mind. It got a result, which showed Block X. There were also other Pokemon being held there.

Pukupuku: A result for "Tangela" found. One is located in Block X, along with other Pokemon being held there.

Charles: …Other Pokemon?

Happy: Hey, maybe Master Zamenza's there too!

Baye: Hold on…Block X? What's that?

Metalchemist: Block X is a holding facility. In Dirty Delinquent standards, those who oppose the organization by attacking a member or betray it are brought there for execution.

Baye: W-What?!

Charles: Execution?!

Happy: What does "execution" mean?

Baye: Happy, they're going to kill them! We've got to save them!

Metalchemist: Consider it a lucky break, since their execution is being postponed until the Senior Head gets back from his mission. I suggest freeing them first before rescuing your parents.

Pukupuku: I agree. With more fighters by your side, you'll have a greater chance to fight off powerful cloaked Pokemon.

Metalchemist: We wish you luck.

Baye: There's no telling when their boss will get back. In the meantime, we have to hurry! Let's go, you two!

Before they could take off, Happy had something to say.

Happy: W-Wait…!

Baye: What is it?

He walked towards Metalchemist and the Porygon trio, noticing the environment they were in. He actually wanted to ask them something before leaving.

Happy: Mr. Red…? If it's possible…could you be a part of our group? We'd like to have you guys. You, Pugo, Pukupuku and Plover.

They looked at each other with some concern before looking back at Happy, afraid to disappoint him but had no choice.

Metalchemist: …We are sorry, little one. We must stay here. Please understand that by us leaving, we risk putting you all in more danger.

Pukupuku: We know that we are bound here by the Dirty Delinquents. I wish we could leave, but right now isn't possible.

Metalchemist: …But we may think about it once this is all over. For now, focus on rescuing your friends and family. They are waiting for you.

Happy…Alright. Let's go.

As they left the lab, Sid watched them from a distance in the halls.

Sid: (...They're going to Block X…I'll follow them, just in case…)

...

In Block R, Manfred, Crusta and their two accomplices were rushing to find an exit. They could feel their chances of escaping being greater than ever before. However, their greatness came to a screeching halt as the Druddigon was knocked to the ground face first, taking them by surprise as they looked back to see him getting back up, but wondering what caused him to fall like that.

Manfred: What vas zat?

Druddigon: It must be that Persian Pokemon again.

?: Wrong.

From in front of them, Colonel Hummus appeared with such speed that they didn't track her movements.

Crusta: Oh, merde!

Linoone: She's fast'! That's faster than me!

Manfred: What...? Attack like zat kame frrrom tiny lizarrrd? She must be strrrong!

Hummus: Surrender yourselves now, or prepare to go where other Pokemon have gone.

Crusta: We wahn't leesten to you! You're a beetch! Prepahre to tahste my fists!

The language had no effect on Hummus, and it only brought disappointment as she shook her head and sighed to herself whilst saying…

Hummus: …Why can't this be any easier? Does no one have common sense anymore?

Crusta charged forward with fists flying at her. However, she could see them coming a mile away and bobbed her head to the sides with no effort, as if they were in slow motion to her. When she got an opening, she delivered a punch to his cream plate, stopping the fists entirely and causing Crusta to drop to his back unconscious. They were surprised by her speed and quick action, putting them on edge.

Manfred: I don't believe it...! Tiny lizarrrd is strrronger zan appearrrance otherrrvise!

Druddigon: We can't fight against her at this-

However, the Linoone was raring to go, wanting to take aim at Hummus.

Linoone: Hey, yau! I'll tak' yau down in one shot'!

Druddigon: No! She's too-

His words fell short on her, as she moved fast enough to race around Hummus. However, she could sense her every movement and from behind, Hummus turned around to deliver an uppercut punch to her jaw, lifting her up a few feet in the air before flipping up and delivering a tail strike to her head, knocking her into the ground. The Linoone was unconscious with a bleeding mouth, setting in the power Hummus had with the other two boys.

Hummus: …Please tell me you boys have common sense, at least.

Manfred and the Druddigon looked to their fallen comrades and had no choice but to surrender.

Manfred: …Ve...surrrender…

Hummus: …Good.

She then whistled to summon at least five cloaked Pokemon to her call with guns in their possessions.

Hummus: Chain them up and take them to Block X.

?: As you command, Colonel.

...

Five minutes later at Block X, Zamenza and the others were surprised by the visitors they received. Manfred, the Druddigon and the unconscious Crusta and Linoone were in chains. Upon their arrival, some of them turned to Zamenza, expecting him to say something, but unlike last time, he had nothing to say.

Zamenza: …What? I've got nothing to say.

Moody: …There are more fighters here than ever before…I'd say most of us are going to be executed…

Mr. P: …No Pokken Arts Tournament at all by then, huh?

Unhaus: *sighs* …I'm pathetic. I can't even protect Eve.

Tanner: Don't blame yourself. The Dirty Delinquents are a force to be reckoned with.

Zamenza: (...Our only hope is with Happy, Charles and Miss Baye…May Arceus bless them…)
