Chapter 47: Wings of Fury
After finally getting everyone out, Happy and friends were set to make their escape from the base. Meanwhile, the Senior Head had informed Chan Way of his arrival, which would by any moment now. In retrospect, Chan Way had given the Senior Head's hired assassin a target, which would be Major Cinnamon. Knowing where she would be, he confronted her in Block S before giving her a warning, not even disclosing what would truly happen to her or who she would meet.
As Happy and the group ran down Block P, they managed to find an exit. The door grew ever so closer to them, imagining the freedom they would have.
Baye: There it is! We're going to go home!
Unhaus: We'll be able to put this entire experience behind us!
However, despite everyone wanting to put the experience behind them, only Tanner couldn't since Chilli's revelations about him and how he felt.
Tanner: (...At least everyone else will…Except me…)
Frogwog: Hang on, Polly sweetheart! Daddy's coming!
They inched ever so closer to the door, which they were relieved to finally have the idea to go home. As they reached outside, they were at the docks where ships would unload passengers. The skies were dark with stars in the late morning hour, still at nighttime with the full moon bearing its presence in the skies. Cloaked Pokemon were sprawled just about unconscious, whilst ships belonging to the Dirty Delinquents were missing, no doubt from other freed Pokemon.
There was one ship left, to which the fighters were on. Moby, along with Lydia and Polly, was there waiting for the group to arrive as they spotted them heading their way. Mr. P was already onboard with Lydia, awaiting for his friends to sail off together with.
Morgan: There they are!
Suhi: The childwen...! They'we fwee! Oh, thank Awceus!
Ulysses: Son! Get over here, Ulysses Junior!
From behind the group, two familiar voices called out to them. One of them was a Pokemon who Zamenza and Moody could recognize.
?: Zamenza! Moody!
Moody: Hey, that's…
Zamenza: Tengu?
As most of the Pokemon children boarded on the ship, Frogwog went over to Polly, embracing her in a hug as he held her in his arms in the water, all the while the group turned around to see Tengu, along with two other faces that were familiar to them.
Tanner: H-Hey! It's…It's the announcer and the referee from the Pokken Arts Tournament!
Once again, they were joined by old friends…Well, "old friend", that is.
Nester: It feels good to flap my wings again.
Referee: I thought I'd never kiss the outside air again.
Tengu: Zamenza! Moody! And the children! Everyone is safe.
A thought ran across Baye's mind as she remembered a Pokemon she spoke to, hoping that they would be here.
Baye: …Not everyone…
Everyone turned to her in confusion, wondering what she meant.
Zamenza: Miss Baye? Who's missing?
Baye: …Deion. He promised to set the children free, and-
?: You were looking for me?
Baye perked up by the familiar voice, looking around just as everyone did until an orange eye was above them. There was also another orange floating orb next to it, which was strange to everyone until the figures revealed themselves. The orange eye revealed itself to be a Dusclops with a tan colored skin, whilst the orb next to him appeared to be peering out of a Duskull's skull, which had a black body and a bone imprint on its back resembling two arrows.
Moody: Who's that?
Baye: Deion!
Deion: I have appeared unscathed. This is my younger brother Damon. You can thank me and the Shifry for setting the children free.
Zamenza: Oh-ho-ho. So that explains why the children were running free.
Tengu: It's no biggie. Let's board the ship.
Zamenza: …Actually, you guys get on the ship. I'd like to reunite with an old friend of mine.
Mr. P: Hey guys! Over here!
Lydia: I have room for some Pokemon to ride on!
Chibi: Sweetheart, why don't you get on the nice Lapras?
Maga: …Are you sure?
Chibi: Might as well. Baye, why not ride with us?
Baye: Sure.
Unhaus: Eve, let's go.
Eve: Alright!
The group jumped on Lydia's golden-shelled humpback where Mr. P and the Pinsir were, whilst the referee, the announcer, Deion and his younger brother Damon boarded the ship, ready for sailing.
Tengu: I'm riding with you guys. Nothing like old times, huh?
Zamenza: That's settled. Tanner, why don't you, Happy and Charles board onto Moby?
Tanner: *nods* Alright. Happy, Charles, this way.
They hopped onto Moby, with the only ones left to board were Zamenza and Moody themselves.
Moby: It's nice to see familiar faces once again.
Zamenza: It sure is, Moby!
He then turned to Moody with a smile on his face, and in a heartwarming tone, he said…
Zamenza: …Let's go, old friend.
Moody: Right behind you.
As they walked towards Moby, Morgan spotted something flying in the night skies at an accelerated speed.
Morgan: *points* What the hell is that?!
A large creature flew over them as everyone's attention was on it. However, everyone could feel an immense power that was in the air. From behind Zamenza and Moody, a loud thud shook the ground that caught their attention as the duo turned around to see a large male Braviary wearing a black cloak as he looked down at the ground with his eyes closed, his talons buried into the ground upon his landing.
Two other Pokemon, a Hitmonlee with a blonde mohawk wearing a gray cloak and a purple colored Swadloon with a lifeless Spinda on her head that wore a white cloak and hat landed near him, eying the group in their getaway vessels.
The Braviary's huge size and his immense power made most of the Pokemon feel uneasy, as if his power alone was enough to weigh them down.
Morgan: …W…Who is he…? The boss…?
Dylan: …What intimidating power…!
Druddigon: …It's overwhelming…! I can't even move my body…!
Mr. P: …I don't know why, but I get the feeling that he's more than just intimidating by his size alone…!
Tanner: …I…I feel as if…my breath is being crushed…! So much…chaotic vibes coming from one Pokemon alone…!
Unhaus: …Those other two…But that purple Pokemon…It doesn't seem as if it's wearing the same cloak like the others…Who is that…?
The Braviary looked up and opened his green eyes, scanning the area as they dilated for focus whilst cracking his neck as if he was stiff for a while. However, his main gaze was towards the two Pokemon in front of him, which were Moody and Zamenza.
Moody: (...Zamenza, that's him…! That's the leader of the Dirty Delinquents…! Senior Head Barbeque…! His power is impressive…!)
Zamenza: (...His size is also impressive…! His power is on a whole different level than his lackeys…!)
From above, Project Ogre Darner hovered over them by flapping his blue wings to preserve energy. Barbeque began to screech loudly, which forced everyone to cover their ears before addressing them.
Barbeque: …Good evening everyone…Or should I say "morning"? I hope you've had a good time thinking that you were free for a moment, because now you're about to be slaves once again. And I see that the traitor isn't here among you, which surmises me to say that she could still be inside the base, fattening her pockets enough to be gutted like a fish after I'm done with her…That is, if she'll get her paws on them.
He then looked up at Ogre Darner, smiling at what he had in mind.
Barbeque: Oh, and if you're thinking about leaving as of right now…Well, Ogre up there has second thoughts. He is capable of blowing up an entire island, so let's put that thought into your minds just how powerful he is and if anyone still thinks they can escape.
Everyone except his two associates looked up, realizing they were facing a large Pokemon that could blow them up any second now.
Moody: (...Dammit…!)
Then he looked at Moody and Zamena with a scowl on his face as his tone was more icy and directed towards them.
Barbeque: …And you two. Do you want to know why you're on my death list? You two represent the very things that will stop our world liberation, which has already come to fruition. However, I know you'll undo everything because you're good, obedient slaves to the system that has cheated Pokemanity.
Moody: So?! At least the system helps us have something to live for! Abolishing it breeds chaos!
Zamenza: First of all, quite impressive of your size and stature. Second of all, we want things to go back to normal. Since you stand in the way of that, we have no choice but to fight you.
Barbeque: *chuckles, grins* …Really? An advantage and a weakness that I can handle. It's amazing, isn't it? But I like that from you old farts. You choose to die rather than sparing your own lives for the passing of old age. How tenacious.
Moody: What?!
Barbeque: Dying in front of an audience is someone who's honorable in my eyes. Letting your friends and loved ones leave whilst not knowing your fates is the coward's way to suicide…
He then turned towards Lee Way, having something in mind for him.
Barbeque: Lee Way, go find the traitor. Withhold her until I'm done here.
Lee Way: Understood, leader.
He vanished in an instant as the old duo took on a fighting stance.
Barbeque: Now, one last question. Who's responsible for killing my associate Doctor Sorbet?
No one said a word as they looked at the dead Spinda Lasanne had on her head.
Moody: Does it matter?! Your damage will do more harm to our world! Your plans will fall apart when most Pokemon start dying and killing each other all around the world!
Barbeque: Not my problem…I see ignorance is at play here. Now, are you going to keep talking away your lives, or are you going to show me that you're ready to die?
He then shrugged off his cloak, which landed on the grass a few feet behind him to reveal his wings and lower body. His pupils shrank as he opened his wings to increase the intimidation factor, glaring at the duo with burning fury as he increased the volume in his maddening voice with a…
Barbeque: Well?! Which is it?! Either way, I'll kill you all!

Somewhere in the world, a cloaked Pokemon flying in the night skies was headed towards an area labeled "Stronghold HQ". The island was shaped like a giant star, and the buildings appeared to be hexagonal prisms, with one large one in particular having the symbol of a yellow, oddly shaped star with three blue oddly shaped squares on the front. There were also Military ships around the island having similar symbols on their sails, as well as an execution platform in the middle of it all.
Granted, the Pokemon didn't even have to worry as he landed there due to the takeover by the Dirty Delinquents. In fact, cloaked Pokemon noticed him, even welcoming his visit. The Pokemon appeared to be a brown Gliscor with yellow tufts of hair and vampiric-like fangs, and wore a red cloak that almost matched his red eyes, indicating his rank as "Commander".
As the Gliscor went inside, he made his way throughout the building without any trouble. He wanted to see a certain Pokemon that he once worked under back in his years as a member of the Military. As he passed through hallways leading up the main doors of the office teeming with his cloaked associates, he entered the large room, seeing a brown Ambipom sitting in silence at his desk. The Ambipom noticed the Gliscor, who was a familiar face but brought soreness upon his memory.
Gliscor: *grins* Supreme Allied General Atlas. It's unbecoming of you to sit in the dark sulking in silence. That's my job.
Atlas: …Gideon Grant. A formal Admiral of the 4th Division…Why have you returned under the guise of anarcho-terrorists?
Gideon: …Well, I go by Commander Chocolate from my associates, but here is formal. I should ask you why you're still so sore about me.
Atlas: …You know why. You were a great Admiral of our Military and then suddenly you turned around and quit, only for us to see you as a Dirty Delinquent member the next time we saw you. I take it that the Military takeover was by you, wasn't it?
Gideon: *chuckles* …Whoops. I guess my tactician skills gave it away. We follow the motto of "we are everywhere and nowhere". Even Glopol is under our control now, and I didn't even have to lift a claw to do it. Look at us now. We've liberated the world.
Atlas: …Do you realize that you're putting most of the world in jeopardy? Without law to control Pokemon using the basic tools to do so for an orderly society, they'll steal from one another, even kill to do it. There wouldn't be any hard workers with a purpose or passion for their work anymore.
Gideon: It's better than living in a crappy system.
Atlas: *growls, slams tail hand on desk* Dammit, we are not uneducated! Those days have long since been gone due to us evolving into the most basic, comprehending creatures on the planet! This is an insult to Pokemanity as a whole!
In a rather eerily calm voice, Gideon uttered…
Gideon: …What if I like to see some blood shed once in a while…?
He then started licking his lips in delight whilst chuckling, which unnerved Atlas for a moment as he realized that he was serious judging by his eyes.
Atlas: …You're mad…! Why…? Why side with them? Why promote such chaos?!
Gideon: …The reason? I just don't like how "orderly" the Military turns us into. Having to salute to superiors I don't even know about. An individual wears their rank, but at the end of the day after they take the rank off, what are they really? Just an ordinary being. The Military likes to send pawns off to battle, only for them to die based on the rich's fundings without so much as questioning their roles. Tell me if that's not "blind obedience"...?
Atlas remained silent for a moment until he made his input.
Atlas: …It is not blind obedience, no matter how you put it. We are shaping soldiers to become better versions of themselves!
In a fit of anger, Gideon slammed his claws on his desk, getting into his face as he stood on his tough tail with his eyes locked on him shouting...
Gideon: For what?! To be broken?! Their minds, an empty shell of themselves! Is that what you call "shaping to become better versions of themselves?! I'm surprised the Military isn't helping the broken ones out there! That is one of the reasons why I quit the Military! Broken soldiers sent to broken families! Unstable, unclear, and unwilling to live because of the lies they've been fed about their jobs! I've seen it all! And you call yourself a position of prosperity…
He then spat on the carpet in disgust, giving Atlas a scowl as he backed away from his desk.
Gideon: …What a joke…Perhaps it's better that you sit here in silence. There's no way you'll be getting out of here, lest you risk one of my cloaked friends around here hunting you down and capsizing every Military ship out there…
Atlas: *gasps* You wouldn't!
Gideon: …You know me, Supreme Allied General…I don't joke around like that. Most of them are on dial right now by our cloaks. All I have to do is give the command, and…Boom! That's it.
He then turned around to the door, with Atlas mumbling something under his breath.
Atlas: …Damn you, Gideon. Damn you…
Gideon turned his head with a grin creeping up on his face as he had some parting words to say to him.
Gideon: …Goodnight, Supreme Allied General. Don't lose sleep over it. I also advise you to avoid turning your neck the wrong way…cause I'll be chewing on it… *slurps, chuckles*
...
Inside the Dirty Delinquents base, Lee Way was running down multiple Blocks with his incredible speed due to his long legs. He was tasked to withhold Major Cinnamon. He received a call from his brother Chan Way and pressed the emblem on his cloak to answer.
Lee Way: Yes, brother?
Chan Way: Lee Way, you're chasing down Major Cinnamon, right?
Lee Way: She's elsewhere. I don't need to use technology to know where she is. Brother, you should know too. We can sense energy. I'm using that to pinpoint her location, and she isn't too far.
Chan Way: …Right. I'll join you. The both of us can trap her. But beware of her psychic attacks. Her forehead gem glows blue along with her eyes.
Lee Way: Duly noted.
Chan Way ended the line, with Lee Way noticing that the energy was coming from a Block he was familiar with.
Lee Way: (...So the energy that belongs to Major Cinnamon that I'm tracing…She's in Block N, which is the Nursery Block…Why there…?)
