Setting Prompt: Fairy Realm
I had so much trouble with the fairy realm prompt that in the end I just... did a crack story, interpreting fairy realm as like fairy tale realm, I guess. I am sorry for my sins lmao
Shinichi didn't know why Agasa wanted a bunch of cords, all knotted together, but the old man had asked him to deliver them to his cabin in the woods, so Shinichi reluctantly threw them in his backpack and got prepared. After a bit of hesitation, he threw on the red hoodie his mother had got him a few days ago. Couldn't hurt.
And that was what started Shinichi's tiring day.
First of all, he had gotten lost, because Agasa's directions accidentally wrote "left" instead of "right" at one point. Shinichi had to stare for a while before he finally understood, leading to him backtracking and trying again. It was already approaching dusk when he finally found the correct route.
When Shinichi finally knocked on the door to Agasa's cabin, ready to throw the knots of cords at him and leave (but perhaps in a kinder way), someone opened the door… someone who was decidedly not Agasa.
Shinichi stared for a while. The person who wasn't Agasa grinned. "Hey, Shinichi!"
"…you aren't Hakase," he replied, deadpan. "You've got the silver hair, but it's way too long. And Hakase has never worn that much black before. It's also quite obvious that your stomach isn't really that big. You just stuffed toilet paper in there."
The man stared at him for a while before taking out a pill. "Well then detective, take this pill. It will kill you, and you won't be a problem to us anymore!"
Shinichi raised an eyebrow. "Uh, no thanks."
The man lunged at him, and Shinichi quickly threw his backpack at the man. Suddenly, the man seemed to get electrocuted, as he dropped down, unconscious.
"So that's what Hakase made that for," Shinichi muttered, picking up his backpack and trudging into the cabin.
Agasa was tied up in the closet, but relatively unhurt. Relieved, Shinichi called the police.
