It was a beautiful day outside. Birds were singing, flowers were blooming, and the occasional breeze of springtime wafted across the Mather's Domain, eliciting a soothing chill for every person outside the mansion. It was a completely normal day, and Emilia's camp was having a nice time without constantly getting in life threatening situations.
"C'mon Cap'n, we're tellin' ya! There's something strange within that closet!"
"Geez Garfiel, I understood the first time. Just let's go check it, I'm sure everything is fine."
A black haired boy responded to a blonde li'l beastman. His tone didn't seem convinced though.
"And if there's anything dangerous there we deal with it, after all we're amazing"
"Cap'n 's right, we're amazing n'can deal with some monster or whatever "
As someone's pride was shining, a grayish merchant hit the man in the head with his hat, he had to deal with them almost all the time.
passing through corridors, they eventually arrived at their destination, a supposedly normal door.
But there was something wrong, under the door was pitch black, they couldn't see anything under it. Subaru Natsuki, the prideful one, mustered courage to take the knob, turned it and opened the door.
Dark. The entire room was nothing but a welter of papers at the entrance, and nothing could be seen. At first, his foot felt like they were stuck on ice, remembering the Envy Witch's accident during one of his loops in the Sanctuary.
When the entire place got submerged in shadows, awfully similar to how the room in front of them was.
Subaru needed to be cautious, he didn't knew what we would face, but sooner or later he would have it so the best time was now
"Natsuki-San? Are you okay?"
Otto, Subaru's close friend, called for him, thieving the boy out of his thoughts. Back to his senses, he started to examine the room, the floor was solid, which relieved him, now knowing it was not like that time.
He entered the place, Otto and Garfiel were just behind him. The trio were trying to look out for a torch or anything that could provide them light.
But there was a little tiny problem, for some reason the room didn't end. Physics was nonexistent at that point.
There were other rooms besides that, but this was extremely large, this whole situation was not making any sense.
"We should go back, we can call Rochin to deal with it" Subaru declared while scratching the back of his head. He didn't want to admit defeat, but dying was worse so he had to deal with it.
As they were about to exit, the door slammed with a loud bang.
"Hey! Whoever is doing this isn't funny, let us out!" Otto shouted, as he tried to open the door at all cost.
For some reason the ground started to shake, as if it was going to crumble. The trio tried to support themselves on any object but to no avail.
The only visible paper started falling as if there was a huge hole there, Subaru, Otto and Garfiel tried to stay as close as possible to the door, hoping somehow the madness would stop before they fall
But it didn't…
And now the trio is falling down, to where?
Nbody knows.
They already expected death as a result and everything went black.
