Himiko was having another nightmare. Her sister was calling her a freak, her mother was ignoring her, and her father was trying to sell her again. All again. After years of night terrors of the past, Himiko could walk through the depths of hell without flinching, her demos wee her friends. Currently, Himiko's dream had shown herself in a crazed state, trying desperately to get to a small vial of blood. She was hungry.
But through her dream, she could hear voices. Himiko could also faintly feel herself being carried bridal style. "I found this one about to be killed by the Bog Demon. Master took an interest in her, so I brought her back." The supposed man said as he carefully laid her down on the floor. "Ooh! I wonder what she's like!" A much clearer voice said, causing her fingers to twitch. "Damnit Doma!" Another voice whisper-shouted. "You're waking her up!" Toga was now focusing on those voices rather than her nightmare. "Sorry!" The other voice replied, also in a whispering tone. Himiko then jerked awake, hearing footsteps approach her. She lunged forward on her left knee, placing her right foot in front. All instinctively, Himiko grabbed a knife strapped between her wingbones. A split second later, she grabbed another knife that was right above her tailbone with her left hand, throwing it horizontally. Her right wrist, though, was caught. Himiko wasn't surprised. The first knife was intended to work as a decoy while the second one was thrown, if she was against smarter opponents. Once said second knife was thrown, another firm grip was placed and her wrists were pulled together. Her right leg was knocked down instantly and Himiko felt pressure on her calves, effectively trapping her. "Never take anyone who catches the master's attention lightly." The first voice said.
Toga's hunger was quickly taking over her reason and she shifted her attention to the one she impaled earlier with her knife, who still had said knife in his chest. Toga tried to lunge towards him, snapping her teeth and snarling, but was held back by the one who had trapped her. The one she stabbed had blonde hair and rainbow eyes, wearing a black and red turtleneck. "Ooh! She likes me!" The blonde said cheerfully. "Doma, you imbecile. She's attracted to the blood." The pink haired one said. "But isn't she human?" Another asked, who looked like he resided in a pot. "Yes, Gyokko. You are correct." The one behind Himiko said. "But-" he continued, catching her jaw as she snapped at his neck, forcing it back around "if you had paid attention, you would have seen her fangs and eyes. This is what piqued the master's interest." The blonde had pulled out Himiko's knife and healed by now, Himiko's crazed mind now focusing on escape. "Nakime." The one behind Toga said, who she had discovered had six eyes. "Go find a human, I assume the master would want to see his new interest in a more sober state."
"Of course, Kokushibo-dono." The biwa woman replied, striking her instrument and disappearing. Soon after, a human appeared on the floor. He had a wide gash on his arm and Himiko's attention immediately snapped to him. Kokushibo released the crazed teen and Himiko lunged for him, latching onto the man and sinking her fangs into the jugular.
All of the upper moons were surprised, to say the least. There, a strange human girl was draining a man dry of blood in a matter of seconds. The girl then stretched her back and looked around, taking in her surroundings. She turned to Doma and Akaza, then spoke. "Sorry for throwing my knives at you, that was a bit rude!" She said, surprising them yet again. 'Ah shit, another Doma.' Akaza muttered internally. "Kid, you do realize we could kill you easily, right?" Daki asked, causing the blonde to face her. "Yup!" She said, popping the P. "But frankly, I wouldn't be too disappointed if I died. And, if killing me was on the list of 'ok's, this one would have snapped my neck instead of holding me down." The cheery blonde continued, jabbing her thumb at Kokushibo. "I'm glad I picked her." A voice sounded, coming from a raised platform. Everyone turned to see the demon king and bowed, aside from the girl, who quickly followed suit. "Muzan-samma! An honor!" Doma announced with his ever present smile. "A moment, Doma." Muzan said calmly, effectively silencing the Demon Moon. "Himiko." Muzan addressed the human blonde, causing her to lift her head. "I've looked into your past and see it fit to offer you a new name, if you shall accept." He said, the girl's silence prompting him to continue. "I am offering you my name, Kibutsuji, and you will have a share of the blood of each Upper Moon, including mine, and become a demon alongside us. You will be able to assume the form of any demon or human you have ever tasted the blood of, with no drawbacks." At the end of Muzans offer, after the other demons had gotten over their initial shock, they could all smell salt coming from the girl's eyes. "I've always hated my surname…" She said, expressionless, aside from her tears. "I accept!" There was pure honesty in her eyes, willing to give up her humanity for her freedom. "Nakime." Muzan ordered, "bring seven glasses." The woman obeyed, striking her biwa and bringing forth the said objects before the demons. Each member of Muzans inner circle, knowing what to do, slit their wrists over their respective glasses. The upper moons had sat up from their bowed position and Nakime struck the biwa again, placing the glasses in front of Himiko, or so the master called her.
Tog felt eyes on her as she picked up each glass and lifted them to her lips, downing the blood. With every passing gulp, the pain got worse. It felt like her very blood was burning. Then, in her jaw, the pain flourished. Her fangs grew to twice their length, and a second set of fangs sprouted behind the now larger ones. Himiko's nails also got longer and grew into points, and she felt apprentages grow from the top of her head, her tailbone, and her legs morphed into a cats. Even though it hurt like hell, Toga did her best not to let it show. She gritted her teeth through the process, not letting herself show weakness. Her name is Kibutsuji now.
All of the demons were downright impressed when they saw Himiko resist the pin as she drank all of the blood. "I did it." She huffed, after the metamorphosis was complete, sweat dripping down her brow. The girl looked up at Muzan, who had a rare smile on his face. "Welcome to the family." He said, offering a hand to Himiko. She accepted, and Muzan helped her up.
Once it was clear the Upper Moons were allowed to get up and speak freely, Doma was the first to say something. "Oh my god, you are so adorable!" He said. Himiko had a pair of cat ears and a cat tail, all of the demons mentally agreeing with the rainbow eyed blonde. Himiko's skin had also paled and acquired faint gray stripes, blending nicely with the pale gray fur.
