26-year-old Rachel Berry St. James shuddered as she sat outside the bathroom door. She had covered her phone with a hand towel so she couldn't watch the timer countdown.

She was sitting outside the main floor bathroom, as she didn't want to disturb her husband, 28-year-old Jesse - it was nearly 2:00 in the morning.

Rachel had been trying to wait until morning - well, morning as in a decent time to be awake. But she just couldn't get it out of her head and she wanted to know now.

Rachel and Jesse were successful Broadway actors - and Rachel had been out of commission for quite some time, as just two months ago, she gave birth to Maya, the daughter (conceived with her egg donation) of two of her good friends, Kurt and Blaine. If Rachel's intuition was correct, it was going to be even longer before she got back on stage. But that didn't bother her.

Suddenly, Rachel heard her phone's timer beeping from under the towel. She removed the towel and stopped the timer. Here it was - the moment of truth.

Slowly, Rachel stood and pushed open the bathroom door. There it was on the counter. Carefully, Rachel lifted the stick and peered at the screen.

Two lines. Two lines!

Any concern about disturbing Jesse went out the window. Rachel ran up the stairs two steps at a time, still holding the stick.

Bursting through the bedroom door, Rachel cried, "Jesse! Jesse!"

Jesse St. James bolted upright.

"What's wrong?" He asked concernedly.

"I'M PREGNANT!" Rachel was waving the pregnancy test around like a lighter at a concert.

"What?" Jesse was fully awake now.

"And this time…Jesse St. James - you ARE the father," Rachel joked.

Jesse laughed and wrapped his arms around his wife.

"Congratulations, Mommy," he kissed the top of her head. Then, he frowned.

"Are you going to be okay?" Jesse asked.

"What do you mean?" Rachel asked.

"Well, you just had Maya in January," Jesse replied.

"I know we had been planning on waiting," Rachel said. "But…I'll just have to follow the doctor's orders, get plenty of rest and not overexert myself."

Jesse smiled again. "I'm so excited," he kissed his wife again who smiled back.

"Me too," Rachel smiled back. "God, we have so much to do!"

"How about we start," Jesse said, guiding his wife over to the bed. "By getting some more sleep?"

Rachel reluctantly agreed, but both she and Jesse had a very hard time falling asleep.
