Adrien's finger hovered above the keyboard and he hesitated.

This was the right place. He was certain of that. Nino said that it was probably the right place to ask. He could hardly go to his friends. Marinette might find out and it might really hurt her.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He looked over his post one last time. He had included everything and he was reasonably sure that nobody could figure out his secret identity as Chat Noir from it. It was even from a throwaway account. And from a phone registered in a different name. It was fine. Really. He clicked on the post button.

WIBTA if I tried to find out who my friend hads a crush on and if they felt the same?

Throwaway because I have friends who use Reddit. Fake names for obvious reasons.

I, (M15) have a really good friend Mary (F14). She's really nice and talented and pretty and funny and she has a smile that makes your day better for seeing it.

I recently discovered by accident that she has a crush on someone. A boy, but I don't know who he is. She gets nervous around him apparently and she's too nervous to talk to him. I don't think that I was supposed to know. She's never told me about the mystery boy, but I think that he's an idiot for not noticing how awesome she is. She really deserves the best.

The thing is, I don't know who it is. I'm the only person she seems to get nervous around. Everyone else, she gets on without any trouble, but that's probably because of who my father is. He's a big name in the industry she wants to work in though.

So Reddit, WIBTA if I tried to find out who my friend has a crush on and if they felt the same?

The first response was almost instantaneous.

Dude, are you sure you don't have a crush on this girl? Because you sound just like my best friend. The way you're talking about her…I get the feeling that you're not seeing her as just a friend. Also, are you sure that the crush isn't you? Cause your post reminds me a lot of a couple of my friends. There's a girl I know, she has a crush on my best friend and EVERYONE can see except him. And I think that he has a crush on her because he talks a LOT like you.

Adrien chuckled and quickly typed out a reply. Nino was being ridiculous. There was no way that Marinette had a crush on him and he certainly didn't have feelings for Marinette beyond friendship. Very good friendship.

No, I'm pretty sure that it's just because she's intimidated by my father. He's a very important man in the industry she wants to work in and he holds a lot of sway. Besides, I'm in love with a coworker of mine.

Then there was another reply, this time from someone he didn't recognise.

You have a crush on this girl and it shows. And she 100% has a crush on you. Wake up and smell the coffee kid!

Adrien frowned. He liked Ladybug. Marinette was just a friend. A very good friend. And ONLY a good friend. Who, he would admit, deserved only the best. But that didn't mean that he had a crush on her! That would be ridiculous! And she didn't have a crush on him! That would be ridiculous! (If only I was so lucky)

Another post arrived.

Are you SURE that you're this keen on your coworker? Because you REALLY sound like you like Mary a lot.

Then there was another post.

Sounds like you're in love with them both. And Mary DEFINITELY has a crush on you. Have you considered this?

Below was a link to a wiki page about polygamous relationships. Adrien stared for a full five minutes in disbelief. It was possibly the strangest thing that he had ever seen and the idea just…blew his mind. Maybe it was something that he could send to Ladybug? Or would that come across as creepy?

He hadn't noticed the slew of posts sweeping in. Most seemed to be saying the same ridiculous thing about her having a crush on him and him feeling the same way.

There was also a more interesting theme that would make for some…difficult answers.

INFO: How would you find out about her crush? If it's unethical, then YTA. If it's not, then NTA.

Adrien frowned. It probably wasn't unethical to ask as Chat, but…it probably was…he sighed and rubbed his head. There was no way he could ask Reddit this without giving away his secret identity.

NTA for asking and trying to help, but if you keep pushing it then YTA.

That was probably good advice. Marinette was certainly not inclined to reveal her crush to him, which hurt a little. He wanted her to win over the heart of the mysterious Buttercup, whoever he was. Someone who was kind and brilliant. Someone she deserved, who appreciated her brilliance and how amazing she was and perfect and beautiful.

Another comment arrived.

YTA, just let your friend process it on their own and give them support! (Also, you definitely have a crush on her.)

That was also probably good advice as well. Apart from the bit about him having a crush. That was ridiculous! He didn't have a crush on her! She was just his friend! A very GOOD friend

NAH - You're trying to be a good friend. There's no harm asking.

That was also good advice. He sighed. He had absolutely no idea what to choose. Every new judgement seemed to say something different. He didn't want to hurt his good friend by saying something, but on the other hand, he didn't want to leave her to suffer in silence.

With a sigh of frustration, he turned off his phone. Maybe the morning would give him the clarity he needed. Or at least a few more answers.

With a jolt, he abruptly sat up. There was one more person who could help. One more person who would know what to do. She always seemed to know after all.

He'd just have to ask Ladybug for her advice. She would know what to do, he was sure of it!
