CHAPTER 1: Introduction:

Amy Farrah Fowler is a 21 year old, young woman who is studying her neurobiology degree at the University of Jean Jaurès in Toulouse, a French metropolis.

Amy was born in France, in a city called Pau. She has two older siblings, a 35 year old brother whose name is Matthew, and a 30 year old sister who's named Lisa.

Matthew is a delivery man and is married to an amazing woman, Lyly, who's a sales person. They have the cutest 5 year old son, Tiago. Lisa, on the other hand works as an HR lady in a successful company. She is also married to a wonderful man, called Andrew; he's a secretary at the blood donation. They're all living in Pau.

Amy was pretty close to her family and it has been hard for her to leave her home; even if it was to live two hours away. She was overflowed with home works and had important final tests at the end of the scholar year. She had lots of panic attacks and felt exhausted, the loneliness and the pressure of school was heavy on her. She had wanted to quit many times. There have been times when Amy didn't talk to someone that wasn't herself for hours. Usually nobody spoke to her and so she didn't have any friends. Amy felt sad and rejected, like she was useless and didn't matter to no one. That was pretty much why she was that close to her family.

It was now the beginning of the New Year and Amy had been able to come back home for the winter break. She felt better after seeing her relatives. Amy was now walking to her biology class. When she stepped into the room she was met with a beautiful short woman, she knew to be called Bernadette. She was part of a group of American foreigners and despite being French, Amy knew English pretty well.

The young woman looked up and smiled. She really seemed kind and Amy felt comfortable in her presence.

"Hello, your name is Amy, right?" said the petite blonde.

"Hello, yes it is and yours is Bernadette if I recall?" replied Amy.

"Yes, nice to meet you Amy, by the way I wanted to ask you, are you French?"

"Nice to meet you too, Bernadette. And yes, I am French. You are from the United-Sates, right? "

"Wow you're English is great. And Yes I am."

"Thanks, my mom comes from California but moved in, in France years before I was born." Amy didn't know why she felt so comfortable talking all about her boring life to a stranger.

"Maybe if you want you can meet my friends and hangout with us". Bernadette said, smiling.

"Well thank you but I wouldn't want to intrude."

"Don't worry about that, you don't have to but if you wish you know where to find us."

The two women couldn't say anything else as the bell rang and students started to walk in the class.
