As I was browsing several "what if" situations, the thought came to me, "What if Naruto was Mikoto's son instead of Kushina's son?" At first, I thought this was a fantastic concept, but then I realized that there wasn't a believable plot in which this could happen. After that, I stopped thinking it was such a great idea. After that, I stumbled across a one-shot that had Minato and a female version of Kakashi, and that's when everything started to fall into place.
In addition to that, it just so happened that i had a OC which had blonde hair and blue eyes.
