Hi, so here is a second chapter and I hope you all enjoy it, next chapter will be the start of the Breaking Dawn plot and while it might seem that this story is Rosalie point of view based I will be included Emmett's point of view as well.

Disclaimer-Nothing is mine.

Now just a note on the whole Edward having sex while Bella was human thing, upon re-reading the books I just found I really didn't like it. To be honest there was a lot of Eclipse I didn't like with Edward and Bella but I didn't like that sex was used as a blackmail tool for Bella. She knew Edward was uncomfortable with it and she staked getting married which was something he wanted (not that I agree with that either) on getting it. Even during Breaking Dawn when it was clear that he was not one hundred percent comfortable she continued seducing him with tears and lace until he eventually gave in which to me just sends all the wrong sort of signals. For Rosalie it was easy to write her disapproval of this especially when everyone was so excited that Bella was going to stay human. Even if nobody knew that Renesmee was possible the whole Volturi thing made it difficult.

Also just a note on the Rosalie/Alice relationship, I've always said that Rosalie is characterised unfairly in the books even in Midnight Sun. She is treated as if her genuine concerns, her losses and her victory are just pettiness. The woman had her life ripped away from her, was raped and then bitten without her consent and she somehow found a way to get her revenge, her revenge which was disapproved off by everyone in her family even if Jasper's was considered just part of the life...and even when she dislikes Bella because of Bella's complete and utter disregard of everything she has given up or had taken from her she is described as an Ice-Queen intent on destroying Bella's happiness. Even when she is on Bella's side the comments Jacob and Edward and Alice make are ridiculous. I think Leah was only the one person who understood it and even then Leah is ridiculed (don't get me started on the disservice her character is done) and ignored for making the point that for Rosalie there is no magical happy ending. And I do think that the relationship within the Cullen's is very biased towards Edward and Bella. It's like nothing matters but him and Alice instigates a lot of bad behaviour with Bella and Edward's relationship for reasons beyond my comprehension. So again this is shown because I think it's damn time someone said it. The Twilight Characters are not perfect, they all have their flaws and re-reading the books only makes is obvious to me.

Again you might have a different opinion but this is mine and I ask you to respect it even if you don't agree with it.

So now that, that rant is over (feel free to ignore btw cause there might be a lot of them in this story) I can get on with this chapter.

Please Read and Review and let me know what you think

And some TRIGGER WARNINGS for Rosalie's backstory.

Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

Chapter 2-Saints And Sinners

Emmett and Rosalie enjoy some time together planning their next move and find out from Alice just what Bella meant when she told the wolf that she was going to have a 'normal honeymoon'.

"It has been said that time heals all wounds. I do not agree. The wounds remain. In the time, the mind, protecting it's sanity covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessons, but it's never gone. "Rose Kennedy.

It was sunny today and so she had skipped over the lake and had taken refuge in her favourite clearing. It was not Edward's clearing with it's sunny wildflowers perfect for taking and killing a human—which she'd personally had money on in the beginning—but it was hers and Emmett's. It was a small secluded area of trees next to a babbling river or brook or whatever it was called and there was sunlight pouring through dancing off her skin. She had taken a very, very battered copy of Little Women and was sat reading the bit where Amy and Laurie got their shit together when she smelt her husband on the wind.

"Hello Emmett"

Within a heartbeat (not that she would know) her husband was there sliding gracefully amongst the trees. It was a bit of an contrast between words really, to call Emmett in his big, hulking form graceful but he was in his own way and she marked her page in her book—Edward always shuddered when she did that and bemoaned the lack of a bookmark—and placed it to the side as her husband took a seat next to her. She had dressed this morning in a sleeveless peach shirt that was tucked into a neat black pencil skirt and her shoes were thrown to the side letting her bare feet with their gold nail varnish from the wedding soak in the dew from the grass.

"Carlisle was looking for you, he thinks now Edward and Bella are married we should have the discussion"

"About?"

Emmett carefully chose not to comment on the fact that she was being deliberately ignorant and instead he answered her question even though he knew that she knew the answer to it. For something like this though Rosalie didn't mind being ignorant. She liked Forks. She liked the area and the ease in which she could go outside and she hated the fact that they were going to have to move so soon after coming back. Usually, they had another two years before it became strange that none of the Cullen children were going to college.

"About what happens next. About where we go next? When Edward and Bella come back from their honeymoon there is an expectation that they will be ready for the…the inevitable and therefore we have to go. Even with the wolves mostly okay with this Jacob Black most certainly will not and with him comes the more…dangerous ones…the ones who are just looking for an excuse even if they don't have the free will for it"

"So where does Carlisle think we should go?"

"Well he was thinking that we should take some time to ourselves for a bit and then meet up in about six or seven months"

Rosalie nodded. It took six or seven months for Esme to put together the house and then the private houses whenever they wanted privacy. Forks had been small enough and the Cullen family strange enough that they all lived together most of the time but when they went somewhere else they were able to have a bit of freedom. Besides they would be Edward and Bella-less for about five years give or take while she went through the newborn phase and Rosalie personally was looking forwards to it. She shouldn't think it but she was. It would be nice not to live with the constant drama that Bella Swan seemed to bring to the table weather it be murderous hunters, murderous werewolves and the breaking of an ancient treaty, weather it be the Volturi sweeping down on them with murderous intent or weather it be the army of newborns that were created and then destroyed just specifically to kill Bella Swan.

"So we split for a while?"

"Won't be for long, I think Carlisle wanted to go to London—see Alastair again and Alice and Jasper intend to travel south to see Peter and Charlotte, so that just leaves us. You got any idea where you want to go"

Rosalie leaned back on her arms and the sun hit her skin, she knew it was a pipe dream but she thought that she could feel the sun on her ice skin, feeling it warm the bones down beneath.

"Somewhere warm" she said finally. "We spend years in cold places so let's go somewhere warm. Somewhere where we can hunt all kinds of strange animals—"

"Africa"

"We did Africa remember? I think you were so enthusiastic that the local government asked FEMA for help"

Emmett gave a booming laugh.

"Alright then, so where do you think we should go. If you want to go somewhere warm—"

Rosalie thought about it.

"What about…Mexico?"

"Mexico?"

"Well we've never been there have we? Plus lots of water creatures and tree creatures—"

"Tree creatures?"

"Emmett please will you be serious and not correct my vocabulary, I have Edward to do that and I was rather looking forwards to not having to deal with it for a good decade and a half"

Emmett laughed and took her chin in her hand and kissed her.

"Alright then my darling, Mexico it is, with the sea creatures and with the tree creatures and—"

She shoved him playfully and he laughed kissing her again, she let herself be pulled into his lap one leg on either side of his hip and his hand found the zip of her skirt pulling it down slowly so that she had more room. His other hand found the ribbon that was holding her hair back off her face and he pulled it loose so that the golden curls came tumbling down around her face and her shoulders. Emmett she had learned when they had first got together had a thing for her hair. She found that she liked the fact that he liked it.

"You know we could always just say here" he whispered against the cool skin of her throat.

"We could just always stay here. Stay here and be in this perfect moment with each other for the rest of our lives"

"Were immortal Emmett"

"Brilliantly fucking long life then"

She laughed and he put her back onto the grass her legs around his waist and then just as she was really getting into it a phone buzzed near them.

Emmett snarled scrambling for the thing and scowling.

"Alice" he said shortly hitting disconnect and then throwing it to the side. "We can ignore it"

"Oh good" Rosalie said though she didn't think it would stay that way for long. When Alice had news she tended to keep calling again and again and again even though she could see what they were doing.

Between that and Edward hearing it, it was a miracle that any of the Cullen's ever got to have sex.

And she was right because Alice kept calling. Emmett reached out and crushed it in his hand.

"Carlisle won't be pleased" was all Rosalie said. "He said he didn't want to have to fork out for new electronics until the end of the year"

"Yeah well he gives Alice to much rope, he has to learn to live with the consequences"

She laughed and they carried on into this little perfect moment.

They walked back to the house hand in hand. Rosalie was pleased, it had been a nice day, they had cemented their plans for the future, they had, had another bout of wonderful sex and she was happy. Emmett had even left her clothes in one piece rather than ripping them which she was very happy about, granted her husband was always gentle with her but he was a bit…enthusiastic sometimes and Rosalie liked this skirt. This skirt was over seven hundred bucks and she enjoyed wearing it. Alice was waiting for them and from the frown on her face she was displeased. Rosalie sighed. She loved Alice she really did but sometimes her sister did have trouble realising that the rest of the family didn't need to hear about everything and anything the other was doing.

If this turned out to be one of those cases where she had seen a shoe sale then…well…actually if it was then Rosalie was just as guilty as Alice was. With her shoes in her hand as she walked back to the house with her hair over her shoulders she was finding that she was happy.

"We don't have to move" Alice said scowling at them from where she was sat next to Jasper. Jasper for the most part had his head buried in a book and only gave the smallest of winces as he felt no doubt the joy that was running through them.

"Emmett crushed his phone" Rosalie said as Carlisle entered the room.

"Emmett didn't we talk about electronics when you smashed the laptop?"

"Yeah well if someone had stopped calling us—"

"I had news!"

"Alice you can see what we were doing"

"Told you" Jasper murmured.

"Children" Esme said coming into the room and that effectively silenced the conversation. Esme like Carlisle had a way of commanding a room to silence without ever having to raise her voice. In fact Rosalie didn't think she had ever heard her raise her voice and with the five of them (six if you count Bella which she supposed that they now had to do).

"What do you mean we don't have to move?" Emmett asked. "Did we reach a new treaty with the wolves?"

"No. Bella has decided to stay human for a little while"

There was a shocked pause. Even for Rosalie and Bella's little human mind this was too much of a quick turn around and she turned to gaze at her husband who had a stunned expression on his face.

"Hang on when did she decide this? She was all set for the transformation when she left and now she wants to remain human?"

Christ had what she said actually worked? Had Bella realised just how much she was going to lose when she eventually gave up her humanity? Had she decided after all that it was too much of a loss. The thought of growing old? Had she listened and actually understood?

Had Rosalie been wrong about her the entire time?

"No" Jasper said softly turning the page of the book. "It's not like that. It's worse"

"No it's not worse Jazz"

"You know my thoughts on this Alice. It puts us all at risk if she waits even six months later never mind the years for a college degree. You heard what the Volturi said. She has to make the change."

"Yes well…we can think about that some other time."

Sometimes Alice's enthusiasm was so damn irritating it caused your teeth to go on edge.

"Why do you care if she's human anyway?"

"I just want everyone to be happy"

Case in point.

"Well…what did Edward do to get her to change her mind? Seriously did he drug her while he was out there?"

"No he fucked her"

"JASPER"

"Sorry Esme but that's the truth, that's the reason, she likes sex as a human and we're all going to be placed at considerable risk while they rock around in the sheets"

But Rosalie wasn't really listening. Emmett wasn't really listening and she felt his hand creep into hers.

Because…seriously…what the…

It was Emmett that spoke.

"Their doing what?"

"Emmett please"

"No hang on…does he not get that that could kill her? Does he not get that he could smash her body in two and rip her to shreds just by—" he stopped abruptly but it was only Rosalie who knew why. The second he had uttered the words, rip her to shreds her entire body had gone on lockdown and she had struggled to keep her face perfectly calm. While everyone knew the story she did not like to discuss it publicly. She did not even like Edward to think on it. This story was entirely her own private memory all of it preserved. She did not forget Royce's face in the same way she never forgot little Henry. She never forget the pain that he had caused. And she never forgot the pain that she had caused all of them. The terror, the agony, the bone crushing fear and the humiliation that seeped into your very soul and never left.

It was worse than the pain that came after. Much, much worse.

Emmett knew all of that, Emmett got all of that.

The rest of the family…not so much. After all when she had said she didn't like Bella in the beginning nobody had even thought to look past her vanity and see the reasons why she was against the idea of a human willing choosing the vampire lifestyle.

She had just been Rosalie, silly, pig-headed Rosalie who refused to see that Edward was so happy and who refused to be supportive.

And here was the final nail in the coffin, not content with driving this family to the brink of the end time and time again, not content with starting a feud that was dead and buried, not content with bringing down the wrath of the Volturi on them Edward was now doing something even more stupid and he was sleeping with his human while she was human.

Christ only Edward and Bella would attempt something so very, very stupid.

And what…were they supposed to be pleased.

"That's sick" Emmett said echoing her thoughts, "It's like having sex with something that can break in pieces, she's…she's fragile"

Alice frowned and Rosalie felt the urge to scratch the woman's eyes out. Jasper who must have picked up on her sudden hostility frowned putting down his book.

"She's not fragile" Alice said pouting, of course she had known about this from the beginning, hell knowing Alice she had probably packed underwear for Edward to destroy alongside his wife. "She's very, very strong actually"

"She's human and she's breakable and he could break her" Emmett said finally. "Did you know he was going to do this?" he said whirling around so that he was face to face with Carlisle. There was no doubt about it that Carlisle had done. But then again Carlisle supporting Edward, Alice supporting Edward was nothing unusual even if Edwards's plans were insane. Anything for the favourite.

And for once that was not her being pig-headed. Because it was true because God knows the rest of them wouldn't have been able to get away with this shit.

"I knew he had promised Bella that they would try and from what Alice has seen it seems to be working."

Jasper snorted.

"And if Bella wants to remain human for a little while longer than it has no impact on us"

"Yeah" Emmett said his tone deep with derision. "Yeah until suddenly the Volturi come knocking on our door and she's thirty five and still with an eighteen year old hoping that everytime he gets horny he doesn't break her into pieces"

"Emmett"

"Esme this is insane…you do realise that this is one of the legends they have about us yes? That we are the succubus that steels good looking people away from their human lives and then crushes them and drinks them. I just…no wonder the werewolf was upset at the wedding"

"It is none of our business what is happening on Esme Island" Esme said finally and her tone brook no further discussion though clearly the cracks in the family were now beginning to show. "We will support Edward and Bella no matter where they end up" she stood up and moved to the kitchen before Emmett could mutter "Whatever the cost may be" Rosalie heard him though she was sure everyone else did and she let him pull her upstairs.

"This is insane" Emmett muttered. "I know he loves her but this might be the thing that kills her. Christ he could have done it on the honeymoon and it would all be over with right now. God knows if anyone's gonna escape the curse of the newborn craze it will be that woman, God knows she's immune to everything else why not that"

Rosalie sat on the chair what passed as their bedroom and said nothing. She was still digesting and finding it hard not to swing back into the memories that still long after those men and their families had turned to mould and dust and rot, still haunted her.

"You alright?" Emmett said crossing the room and taking her face in his hands.

Rosalie didn't have to say what she was thinking because Emmett understood. He understood her in a way she didn't even understand herself and she loved him for it with each passing day, each passing moment, each passing second. He could see that this, this especially was too much for her to get her head around.

"Mexico's still on the table" he said softly. "We don't have to be here when they get back."

"Yes" Rosalie said finally. "I don't want to be here when they get back. I wanted her to stay human, but this is worse. She's chaining herself to him for sex and he's letting her and it's…it's just so much worse."

Emmett said nothing. He loved Edward as a brother, more so she knew than he had loved his own human brothers and this was weighing on his mind.

"We'll go" he said finally. "We'll go next week and we can stay away for as long as we have too. And who knows, maybe she will have the bite when we get back and this blip will all be a memory one day"

Rosalie nodded. After all what more could it be?

I hope that you enjoy this chapter and I will do my best to bring you the next one sooner rather than later.

And there you go, now begins this story. I do start work back up again so please be aware of that when it comes to updates, as always your reading this story means the world to me and I will post the next chapter as soon as possible.

Next Chapter-Plans are put in motion but they are scuppered instantly by a phone call. Rosalie must contemplate the unthinkable and what she wants to do verses what she should do. And the ramifications for not just her and Emmett but for her family.
