Hello to you all and how are you doing today?

As we know but Clark and Lois had moved their sons to Smallville because they wanted them to have a more normal life. But it backfired due to Tal-Rho and Ally Alston using the town as their headquarters and so the sons ended up going through a lot of chaos that they shouldn't have had to go through.

And so the idea of how the Lane-Kent family decided to go on a family vacation in the Season 2 finale came to me in which Clark and Lois apologize to their sons for inadvertently placing them in a more dangerous environment, among other issues, while Jordan and Jonathan also make some apologies of their own.

I hope you'll enjoy.

Disclaimer: I don't own "Superman and Lois" or its characters.

Location: Smallville-Kent Home

Setting: Family Dining Room

Following the defeat of both Allies and the conclusion of the festivities celebrating it and the rescue of their world, Clark and Lois decided to call for another family meeting that evening. After the family of 4 took their seats at the dinner table Clark was the first one to address their sons.

"Your mother and I have been talking, and we realize that we owe both you boys an apology. For a lot of things," he began and then sighed before continuing. "When we decided to move us to this town it was ultimately because we wanted you both to have a more normal and peaceful life. A life in which you could only focus on being normal teenagers growing up and doing normal teenage stuff. We, I, just wanted you to have the kind of life I had growing up.

"However by bringing you guys here we unknowingly invited significantly more chaos into your lives considering all the craziness we all ended up experiencing first with Tal then Allie. And especially considering that they were using this town as their headquarters.

"Not to mention that both you boys were placed into dangerous positions including your own lives being greatly threatened. And worst of all but due to my going missing for a month, being imprisoned on false charges of treason beforehand, and especially certain events from last year but you experienced the real fear that you were going to lose me and possibly permanently. And that's something no child should ever have to fear.

"All of this happened because of our decision to bring you boys here for a more normal existence except it backfired in one of the worst ways possible and you both ended up experiencing threats and traumas no one should experience and especially those your age. None of this should've happened to you guys and this is something we both regret deeply and feel horrible about."

Lois then picked up from where her husband left off.

"It's not just all of that but also some of our decisions we made in parenting the two of you since moving here. For example but we put so much priority on keeping both your dad's secret and especially some of the classified intel from the DOD that we didn't stop to think how keeping those secrets might affect your personal lives and relationships such as it being a contributing factor for you Jordan regarding your breakup with Sarah. Not to mention that you and your brother had no one to really pour out your emotions to regarding all the craziness you and your brother were forced to endure.

"That's something we especially should've figured out a way around whether it was doing a better job of encouraging you to come to us and not be afraid to lay bare your heart and feelings without fear or hesitation instead of having to bottle it up and trying to maintain a stiff upper lip. Heck we could've even asked your grandfather to find a trustworthy therapist for you both albeit after a tremendous amount of vetting. All of that were major failures for us as parents and once more we are so sorry.

"And we also regret if either of you were ever feeling left out or if the two of you felt we were prioritizing one of you over the other such as you Jordan feeling you were within your brother's shadow due to him appearing to be the golden boy last year and beforehand or you Jonathan feeling you were unseen due to Jordan and your dad having powers while you don't have any as of yet.

"It doesn't excuse your actions of course Jonathan and you deserved the consequences you experienced for doping in sports but your father now agrees with me that he should've heard you out like I did before laying down the law on you while we both should've really looked into why you decided to down that path. Not to mention giving you a checkup since none of us knew what kind of effect the X-K might've had upon your body since you're part Kryptonian."

"Plus we should've also been more understanding why you boys skipped school last year and especially considering my own acknowledgment that you'd both been through a lot," Clark continued next. "That doesn't mean that either of you should've just gone and done so for there are rules like I said and especially since neither you nor anyone else should disrespect your teachers and the work they put into your classroom. But we definitely should've handled it better considering the extenuating circumstances instead of trying to brush the mess with John Henry and Tal under the rug when it was still fresh for us all."

"There's also the fact we sent you Jonathan back to school so soon after you'd been attacked by your bizarro self. I know we were both taking advantage of the possibly rare second chance the school had given you to return not to mention trying to find a sense of normality once more but we should've also made certain as to your mental state after facing your other self before sending you back," Lois added in agreement before emotionally continuing while tears threatened to spill from her eyes. "The truth is we both messed up in many ways as your parents since moving here and especially in how we handled the chaos the two of you experienced and we just wanted to apologize to you both. We are so sorry."

"Like you're mom said, we're deeply sorry. Oh, and I'd also like to apologize to you Jonathan for suggesting that we and your brother hang out by doing chores together and then leaving you to do them all while taking your brother out flying. Definitely not cool and once more, I'm sorry," Clark continued further and with a mixture of emotion and regret within his voice.

Jonathan and Jordan listened to all of their parents words and apologies and after a moment of pause, Jordan was the first to speak.

"It's alright dad. And we don't blame you or mom for anything. All of that chaos you guys mentioned was because of Uncle Tal and Allie and as far as we're concerned they're the ones to blame so please don't beat yourselves up," he replied to his parents words in an attempt to reassure them.

"Yeah guys. Like Jordan said, all of this happened because of those two and you're the one who saved the day and stopped them both dad," Jonathan picked up from where his brother left off. "I won't lie and say it wasn't stressful for either of us or that it would've been great if we could've had someone to unburden ourselves with. And it's true that at different times we both felt like you and mom were prioritizing one of us over the other which was part of the reason why I got on X-K though that was ultimately my fault and you're right regarding the consequences. Not to mention that we had gone through a whole lot and so we both wish you'd have given a break and especially with all of the end of the world mess piling on us instead of sending us back to school so soon or trying to brush everything under the rug and attempt to go back to normal when things were not near normal."

"However and despite all the terrible things that we'd had to endure there were still some good times as well and we've enjoyed being here despite everything," Jordan continued once more after his brother. "I got to meet Sarah, had a chance to join the football team for a time. I mean it was like things in my life were turning around for the better. And of course Jon made some friends of his own.

"In fact but I need to also apologize and confess I haven't always made things easy for you guys such as going on loud and incessant rants last year and especially towards you dad which I can't blame on Social Anxiety since we mostly conquered it. I was rather making everything about me and it was long before Uncle Tal's plans began coming to fruition. You're my dad and I shouldn't have acted that way towards you not to mention it wasn't something you needed from me. And I'm also sorry for originally not taking my growing powers seriously or the need to control them but once more making everything about myself. And I'm sorry to you as well Jon for accidentally breaking your hand. Totally not cool man."

"Don't worry bro. Water under the bridge," Jon smiled and reassured his brother, ruffling his hair good naturedly while Jordan playfully tried to get away, leaving their parents amused. Speaking of whom but afterwards Jonathan then turned his attention back to them.

"It's not just Jordan. But I also need to apologize for whenever I've also not made things easier for you guys and I'm also deeply sorry for the X-K mess I got myself into," he addressed them again. "That's not something I should've done and I totally messed up. I disgraced myself and the football team and did not represent this family but instead crossed a huge line by doping in sports and you're right mom in that I deserved the consequences. Again I really and truly am sorry for that and I can promise you guys that nothing like it will ever happen again. I'm sorry."

Lois nodded in response.

"We appreciate that Jon and we're both happy to see you own up to it and trust you won't be doing anything as stupid as that ever again," she replied while giving him an approving smile while Clark nodded firmly in agreement with his wife. "I still stand by what I said regarding our failure to not properly look into what may have led you to turn to X-K and once more I apologize."

Following her words and after a moment of silence Jordan realized something else in regards to his own behavior and decided to address it as well and with his dad.

"Oh and dad? There's something else I'd also like to apologize to you for and it's my pushing back at you during our argument regarding telling Sarah our family secret when we were headed to school," he added and explained while apologizing. "I'm sure you had your reasons for why you didn't want her and the Cushings to know and you were also not being a hypocrite since you were not telling them yours either. But once more I was making things about myself and again, I'm truly sorry."

Clark nodded in appreciation.

"Thanks for that as well bud, and for the rest beforehand and I appreciate it and apology accepted," he replied to his words with a warm smile. "And it's true I had my reasons but please believe that I did understand your side and I very much understand young love and believing that your then partner is the one. And it's only natural that because of that you'd want to give your all to her. You deserved to be happy as well and like your mom said we're both sorry the secret keeping played a role in the breakup between you guys."

"We also appreciate you guys not blaming us for what you've been through lately and your apologies," Lois spoke up again with a soft smile directed towards her sons before emotionally continuing. "But we both stand by our own apologies and we should've done better as your parents and in helping you handle everything resulting from Tal's and Allie's actions and we sincerely hope you'll forgive us."

The two brothers looked at each other a bit before nodding then turning back to their parents.

"Yeah, of course and if it will make you guys feel better," Jordan .replied with a smile.

"What my brother said," Jonathan added and with his own wide smile. "And once more but we're sorry for everything as well."

Clark and Lois smiled back, relieved.

"Thanks guys. All of that means a lot to your mother and myself though after this conversation I think we can also admit there's a lot of blame to go around and none of us were entirely innocent in how we went about things. But we'd like to make everything up to you both and so that's why we'll all be going on a family vacation together."

Jonathan and Jordan found themselves intrigued yet puzzled by their father's words.

"Um, what do you mean exactly? What family vacation and where?" Jonathan asked on both of their behalf while Jordan also waited to hear their answer.

In response, Lois answered for her husband.

"To answer you both, it was your father's idea and while he hasn't told me everything, it's a big trip and will apparently allow all of us and you guys especially to relax and recuperate from all of the recent tumultuous events and enjoy being a family. But he assures me that it will be amazing and will give you boys a well-deserved and peaceful vacation from everything," she explained to them which left them further intrigued. "We've already spoken with your school and everything's been arranged with them for the duration you guys will be away from there so you don't have to worry about that."

"So. Are you both in?" Clark asked his sons while looking at them expectantly.

Jordan and Jonathan nodded eagerly.

"Definitely!" and "Heck yeah!" were heard from them both respectively with huge smiles, the two young men eager for whatever their dad had planned and definitely not saying no to a long tranquil and possibly exciting vacation.

Their parents grinned, pleased at their enthusiasm.

"Well you boys better go and get some sleep since we have a long day ahead tomorrow," Clark then said to them to which the brothers agreed and after getting up from the table hugged their parents and bid them good night before hurrying upstairs to bed.

And as it would turn out once the trip commenced, said trip revealed to be an ocean adventure and involved not only sailing but also the rise of a new Fortress Of Solitude in the ocean, it was exactly what the two young men needed since it provided them with a period of complete and absolute peace and allowed them to briefly forget all of the previous chaos they'd gone through which in turn greatly benefited their mental and emotional health.

In addition but both brothers equally felt prioritized and Jonathan especially feeling included since he not only got to play with the Kryptonian tech within the new Fortress but also got to meet his paternal Kryptonian grandmother for the first time, both of which were amazing. And most importantly, the vacation allowed the family's bond to become even stronger than it was.

As Clark intended, it was truly a new beginning for them all.

The End For This Missing Scene

A/N So what did you all think? I personally hope you guys enjoyed it and please let me know what you thought of if you'd like.

As for the way I labeled this as the end, it had occurred to me that Jordan should also apologize to Sarah. There's been a lot of hate towards her character this season and while I personally think it was a bit too harsh I do understand where the fans were coming from and thankfully she took responsibility and apologized in the season finale.

But now I think he should've also apologized to her for trying to give her a letter expressing himself when she was greatly worried about her mom's whereabouts when Jon-El had kidnapped Lana. I understand his perspective plus his desire to make amends but it was bad timing, I think he might've been a bit too pushy, and there's a time and place for everything.

And so I'm going to add a bonus missing scene to follow this chapter and for Jordan and Sarah though I'll be posting it next week.

Have a great day.
