Hi everyone how was your day?

The next chapter was originally going to be where Jordan apologizes to Sarah. But there's been a change of plans in that per the request of a reader on AO3 named ZulemaZT I'll be adding a second bonus chapter beforehand in which Jordan and Jonathan discuss their parents apologies to them following the previous chapter with said apologies.

Bonus Chapter

Setting: Smallville-Kent Home

Location: Twins Bedroom

Jonathan and Jordan were now upstairs following the preceding discussion with their parents and were currently preparing themselves for bed. They'd already put on their pajamas and brushed their teeth and were about to settle themselves underneath their bed covers. As they conducted all of this they also discussed between themselves the earlier conversation with their parents.

"Wow man. I certainly wasn't expecting an apology from our parents over everything," Jonathan commented in wonder.

"Yeah. Me neither bro," Jordan agreed. "Of course as we both said to them earlier but neither of us blame them for all of the chaos that recently transpired considering that was ultimately Allie's and Uncle Tal's faults."

"That's true. Hopefully with Allie gone and Uncle Tal beginning to change things will actually go back to normal now," his brother replied and wished to which Jordan nodded, sharing the other young man's sentiments." They both sensed however that things would probably never be truly normal and especially sense for all they knew the next threat could very well be just around the corner. Though hopefully for now they'd receive an indefinite respite before things went crazy yet again.

They'd then gotten underneath the covers and after settling themselves in thought back to everything.

"You know Jon. A part of me actually feels pretty grateful for our parents apologies. Not that I'm blaming them for everything or trying to make excuses for my own stupid moments and all but just certain things they could've handled I kinda wish had been handled differently. I don't know if I'm making any sense or….." Jordan considered in retrospect and then trailed off, uncertain as to whether or not his brother understood what he was trying to say.

"Yeah man I hear ya and I can't say I also wish they'd done a few things differently such as being a bit more understanding or a little more open about a few things and such," Jonathan assured his brother and revealing they were more or less of like mind. "Plus I won't deny I wasn't too happy when you and dad skipped out on me to take flying lessons while leaving me to do all the chores."

"You're right and I'm also really sorry about that and definitely should've said something. I definitely wasn't being a good brother at all and especially with you feeling left out and again I'm really sorry," Jordan agreed and apologized awhile shaking his head in disappointment towards himself.

"It's okay. I mean it really sucked and all but I know neither you nor dad were trying to deliberately screw me over but thanks anyway and apology accepted," Jonathan shrugged then smiled at him good naturedly, assuring him that all was forgiven.

"In fact but I'm also sorry once more over how I behaved towards you when you confronted me over my X-K usage. You were just trying to be a good brother and knock some sense into me yet instead I lashed out at you and we ended up fighting which should've honestly never happened," he added with regret and continued. "Not to mention I was also sort of being a jerk when I challenged you to a boxing session when you were training with grandpa and then went a bit too hard on you. So not cool."

"Yeah you were kind of intense but it's alright. Like you said earlier, it's all water under the bridge right. And I'm sorry if you were also feeling left out then as well."

Jonathan in turn smiled and nodded in gratitude towards his brother's response.

"I'll admit I was Jordan and agreed. Water under the bridge and from now on let's just learn from our mistakes and instead do our best to get along and control ourselves. And know that if you ever need anything I'm here for you," he replied and then wisely suggested.

"Same here on all and I'll always have your back," Jordan agreed and promised. And with all of that said and done they bid each other goodnight and switching off their lights laid down and fell asleep while looking forward to tomorrow and whatever trip their father had planned for the family.
