Hi everyone, how's it going?

As I promised last week but here's the bonus chapter and in which Jordan apologizes to Sarah regarding the timing of his attempt to give her his letter when she was already distressed over her mother's disappearance.

Bonus Chapter

Location: Smallville

Setting: A Sidewalk Next To Where The Celebratory Festivities were taking place

Jordan and Sarah were currently discussing the latter now knowing the big Lane-Kent family secret and Sarah expressing her understanding as to why it needed to be kept secret followed by her apologizing to him over the events which had transpired during the course of their relationship following her return from camp.

"I never said sorry, for betraying that trust this summer at camp when I kissed Aubrey," she was saying to him with regret while finally and completely owning up to it.

Jordan looked down for a moment as she spoke before responding.

"We already talked about that," he replied in an attempt to reassure her, having forgiven her a long time ago, but she quickly pressed on with her apology.

"But I didn't say I was sorry," she insisted before continuing. "You trusted me you were faithful to me and I wasn't. I should have just apologized and instead I came at you with all of the things that I wanted from a relationship, and I never really thought about what you were going through or what you needed and, Jordan I'm really sorry."

Jordan sighed, after which he brought up another subject he knew needed to be addressed and in regards to an action of his own towards his current ex.

"Listen Sarah, the truth is I have my own share of blame and it's what I did following our breakup by trying to give you that letter explaining everything including the truth and despite the timing of it," he replied while also giving her his own necessary apology. "I was being insensitive and also not paying full attention to what you needed and were going through when your mom was missing. Finding your mom was more important than us trying to fix our relationship and I was being selfish at that moment and it was not cool of me either and I should've waited until a better time. And so I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry for that as well. Truly sorry."

Sarah listened to his words and nodded.

"Thanks Jordan, that means a lot though I could've also handled it better instead of just being completely dismissive towards you during that moment. I guess we both royally screwed up in different ways," she replied softly in acceptance of his apology before offering another one of her own while reflecting back upon everything with a self-depreciative smile.

"Yeah, I guess we did didn't we?" Jordan agreed while presenting a self-depreciative smile of his own. Afterwards he moved and seated himself beside her and admitted he had difficulties being transparent but promising he would work on it after which they both agreed to be more open towards each other. Resetting, as Sarah put it, and see what the future held for them in regards to their feelings for each other.

And in the spirit of honesty Jordan shared with her the first moment his burgeoning powers awakened which was when he rescued his brother when a set of poles collapsed upon the two young men while she listened with interest.

Neither Sarah nor Jordan knew what the future held but at that moment, one could say it was a new beginning for them both.
