Hello this is a new series I started where I write about the side characters for Zombies and maybe others. I just really wish there was more background to some relationships. But here you go!

RANDOM SIDE STORIES FROM SECONDARY CHARACTERS

Edition 1. Zombies: Side Characters

Ft. All side character couples that deserved more!

Wyatt and Eliza

He couldn't help it. Eliza Zambie was a spectacle he couldn't get out of his head.

He remembered his first encounter with her. Though it wasn't much at the time (they all broke into song) so he followed her and later confronted her about her cut-off statement… (reference: /64ChiVDk7oY at 1:30)

"Hey, what were you going to say?"

She raised a brow. "About what?"

"The Z-bands…"

She gave a scrutinizing look. Kind of like Willa. "Why?"

"Zed kinda cut you off earlier, and I was curious," I shrugged.

She waited a bit before giving in, "Zombies might have evolved past our ancestry. We can go without our Z-bands with more control." She sighed.

"Well, what about you?"

"What about me?" She had somewhat of an offensive stance. I didn't hate it.

"Don't you want just to be yourself? Not have to hide behind some fake persona. Be free?"

"Of course I do! Everybody does…"

"Okay, then. Do it!"

"Why would I go full zombie for a stranger?" My confused face might've made her continue, "I don't feel comfortable… losing control being with a stranger."

"Oh… What if I go full wolf first? Even the odds! Here," I made my moonstone glow. My fangs grew, and my eyes shone. She stared wide-eyed. "There. Now it's your turn!"

"I didn't agree to this deal."

"But you're still here, so..."

She snorted. "Alright, but we have to go somewhere more private…."

"Who cares? I did it. Besides, It's pretty deserted already."

She hesitated. "Fine, stand back." She took off her Z band, her veins popped, eyes dark, and a menacing roar escaped her lips… but she was still in control. Terrifying. Unashamed. Powerful…

"Awoo…" I couldn't hide the grin on my face. "That's what I'm talking about!"

She smiled… That's all it took for this girl to catch my heart.

At the time, I hated to admit it, but I had a little crush on Addison. But it might've been because I wanted her to be the answer, a savior, the one to make a change and save my pack.

Addison is a good person, but Eliza is precisely that. She has answers. She is willing to make changes to protect her own. I like that. No, I like her.

Now, the time has passed. I sit across from the pretty girl, happy that my feelings finally got through to her.

"Um. Wyatt? Hello!" I blinked. "There we go. Come on. I didn't return to Seabrook so that you could fail your finals."

"Really! You came back for me," I felt pride in my chest, "I thought you came back to see your family."

"That was only one of the reasons; besides," she leaned closer to me, "I missed your smell."

"Awoo," I let out in a raspy breath. Snickering, she leaned in and kissed me for the hundredth time today.

"Okay, stop being cute; we must be serious if you want to get into a good college."

I sighed, "Can't we just have some pups, and I'll stay home and take care of them?"

"Oh, a stay-at-home father while I continue to help improve the world with better technology for monsters everywhere. Coming home to a home full of little pups running around while their dad is making sure they receive the love I can't offer since I'll always be busy with work. Not that much, though. I feel like you'd be a wonderful dad. Supportive husband too. You and Wila both raised your pack together. That honestly doesn't sound like a bad idea– No! I see what you're doing!"

"You do?" I grinned, "Is it working?"

I love you but don't want to do something with your life! Monsters have opportunities now! After 50 years of discrimination! We can make a difference together!

"I believe we can make a difference," I closed my eyes and laid my head against hers. "No matter what we do. As long as we're together and follow our hearts. I think we can be happy."

"We aren't going to get anything done, are we?"

"Not unless you keep talking," she snorted at my growing grin. "So are we gonna keep kissing or…"

"Fine, come here."

Later.

"Hey… Wyatt?"

"Yeah?" I turned to see her face, "What's wrong?"

"I do love you," she pulled me in, "Please promise me no matter what, we'll always support each other. Okay."

"Even if I do nothing with my life but take care of our kids?"

"Yes, because raising children is a big deal. Especially if raised as someone as strong and loyal as you. Who knows? Maybe one day they'll make a difference too."

I hugged her back. "Thank you."

**Years Later**

"Moma! Moma!" Two little voices raced towards the door. Wyatt stood up upon hearing his wife finally come home. "Look, Papa! Moma brought back Barney's Brains!"

"Sorry I'm late," Eliza held a container as their twins hung from her legs. "I got you your favorite!"

I got off the couch and pulled her in. "Of course you did."

"Thank you for waiting up with the kids. Let me put them to sleep, and when you're done with your meal, we can keep making some more."

"More what?"

"Pups," she gave him a playful wink as she took the twins to sleep. "Come on, kids, if you don't go to sleep now, no playtime with your cousin tomorrow."

They groaned. I felt a grin coming on. 'I really do love this girl.'

Bonzo and Bree

He wasn't sure how he got to this point, but he really did love Bree. He didn't remember how it happened. She went out of her way to learn his language, which he personally never wanted to stop using. He believed if he didn't continue with it, one day he'd forget. Losing touch with his ancestry. Along with the memory of his mother. She too was fluent with the language. When she passed he vowed he'd never stop using it. He told Bree the story once. She cried for him. He really did love her. He joined the cheer team to support her and she was grateful for it. It was hard to manage that and Band, but she told him no matter what he chose, she'd support him. He didn't know how one could love someone that much. At some point in their relationship, it fell… They did still love each other. Well, he loved her. He really did love her. But she was scared. Scared because of their first miscarriage. Scared of not being able to make it through. Scared that she'd leave like his mother. She didn't want to leave him. Not really. But she couldn't confront him. She's the one who ended it. She left. Not him. He really did love her. When she finally moved away he felt a hole in his heart. He told Zed. Zed told Addison. Addison told Bree. Bree knew. He still loved her. A few years have passed. He was invited to Zeddian's 10th Birthday Party. He was happy. For a while. At the party, he saw her. She was smiling. Her eyes turned to him. She looked like she wanted to say something but... He walked over to her and introduced himself. She smiled. He really did love her.

Wynter and A-Lan

Lockers

Wynter and A-Lan left the pool together. Their swim class, along with football, brought them together. As friends. They both found each other's company to be strangely... interesting.

"Hey Wynter!" A tall lanky boy nearly tripped over his feet running towards her. "You forgot your book!"

"Thanks…" She stared blankly for a moment. "Jasper?"

"Johnson, you know. I made the team your senior year back in high school. Remember…"

"No. That doesn't ring a bell," A-Lan stared in curiosity at the two's interaction. "Oh! Are you the guy I used to knock down for practice tackles!"

"Uh, no. No. Drake Johnson. One of the few new vampires… Not ringing a bell?"

"Wynter," A-Lan said in his righteously annoying voice. "I think that he has a thing for you. Yes, notice his sweaty palms lack eye contact– I stand corrected. He is now glaring."

"Do you really?" Wynter beamed up at the boy. She had a thing for vampires. "You are adorable! Okay-Wait, since when did you have a thing for me?"

"S-Since High School actually…"

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry I didn't realize that sooner! Oh I'm free after practice if you want to grab some raw meat."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Just meet me outside the girl's locker room. Alright."

"O-okay! Great, see you later then…" He seems to be in disbelief walking away. The small wolf girl carried on. A-Lan stared at her weirdly. "A-Lan I can feel your curious eyes."

"Yes. I wanted to know if that was it?"

"What do you mean?"

"You are going to date him... without knowing anything else?"

"I mean, how else am I suppose to get to know him? I need to see if they are mate material. Thus the date. Duh."

"Oh," A-Lan nodded as if finally understanding the dating pool. "Ah look it's the Captain."

Despite being a strong genetically engineered alien, Wynter dragged the A-Lan like dead weight towards the college football captain. "Zed guess who just got a date with a hot Vampire!"

"Let me guess. A-Lan?"

"Nope! Me! A-Lan helped!"

"Nice dude, way to be a wingman."

"Wingman? No Zed. I am an extraterrestrial. I do not have any sort of wings. I do have the Mothership when Bucky isn't around," Zed and Wynter gave him a look. "No dude. Like someone who helps a friend get a date."

He paused at the statement. "Ah, yes. Then I am that. A wingman."

"The best!" Wynter gave him a hug that somewhat nearly crushed his internals. "Thanks! Now I'm going to be your wingman! Right, Zed! You'll help too!"

"Alright, as long as we do it before practice, you know being the Captain and all," Zed somehow beat A-Lan during tryouts. "Alright, A-Lan. What are some quality traits you look for in a person?"

"Or like!"

"Oh, I do not discriminate. Nor do I have a specific liking. Do not worry."

"Everyone has a type," Wynter said, sighing heavenly. "I have a thing for vampires! They're so dark and mysterious…"

"That's just superstitions," Vince-a rather big vampire stocked near them. He was a fellow team member that wasn't a bad person, but usually too moody for Wynter's taste. If not for his complexion one could accidentally mistake him for a wolf. He seemed angered right now. A-Lan and Zed took a step back. "It's annoying. If that's your reason for liking vampires, maybe you should rethink your interest. We're not all like that."

"I like other types of monsters too!" Wynter never faltered towards his intimidating demeanor. Some even applauded her bravery. The two boys staying quiet on the side certainly did. "It's just... you know. You're customs are-" Her voice went a little softer, "Sweet."

Zed and A-Lan glanced at the now quiet Vince. He seemed hesitant. "You like... sweet?"

"Yeah, I mean who doesn't?"

Vince stayed quiet staring down at the little wolf girl. After a few moments of awkwardness, Zed cleared his throat. "Um sorry to disturb your thing. But it's time to head out to the field."

"Aye aye Captain!" Wynter said with a smile. "Sorry about being you're wingman A-Lan. Guess we didn't have time to find you someone. We can try tomorrow!"

"It is fine. I have no such interest in those sort of things. I just like the competition. It is most exhilarating."

"Uh-huh," Zed gave him a knowing look. "You're not wrong."

"Yes. Look out Zed, next year Captain title shall be mine!" They all started walking toward the locker rooms. "Oh yes, I am most definitely... I forgot my bag near the pool. I shall return!"

"Okay well, we'll be on the field!" Zed called.

"I feel bad. He hasn't been in a relationship like, ever. You know." Wynter said as they continued to walk. "Well let's hurry up! I want to have enough time to get ready for my date later. It takes time to tame this beast."

"Yeah no kidding," Vince said. Wynter growled at him before taking off ahead. The giant vampire smiled. Zed put an empathetic hand on his shoulder. "Sorry dude. But no dating within the team."

"We've never had that rule before…"

"Yeah no kidding. Not a lot of romance usually goes on around in football. Now come on. We don't miss practice now, do we?"

"If it wasn't for your commitment to the team, you might have lost to A-Lan."

"Yeah he is a really good player really," Zed placed his hands on his hips. "But he likes competition way more than he likes football. Now hurry up before we make Wynter late for her date!"

"Ughh... Thanks for reminding me."

"No problem!"

Indoor Pool

A-Lan glanced around. Usually, the pool was empty but it felt like someone was there. Regardless he retrieved his bags. I can't believe I left my bag here, I am usually not that forgetful. Strange.

"Hey, nice hair," the alien spotted a person staring at him from the water. "Ah, you are speaking to me. Yes. I did it myself."

"It does look good. That's why I'm complimenting you. Your face isn't that bad either."

"Ah. Yes, it is."

"No you're supposed to blush, or say thank you," the boy sighed in aspiration. "Like, 'oh thanks beautiful stranger you're not too bad on the eyes either."

"Why?"

"It's a good thing you're hot. I'm hitting on you. You know. I find you attractive. Get it now?"

A-Lan smiled at the realization. "Oh, you're flirting. Impressive. Let me try. Thank you. However, my hair is nothing compared to yours." The boy raised an eyebrow. "Yes, have you seen yourself? Your hair is like a wave of fire. Beautiful to look at, but dangerous if one gets too close."

This seemed to please the boy. His cheeks turned a dusty rose. It was quite… "Enduring."

"E-excuse me?"

"Yes you are quite enduring. I have never seen such a creature so… enticing. What's your name?"

"O-oh. Um… Merlinn… with two N's," his eyes seem to avert themselves. "Just so you don't get confused with any other Merlinns."

"Okay Merlinn with two N's when do you want to go out?"

"What!?" His face matched his hair. "You mean a date?"

"Of course," Merlinn was intriguing nonetheless. "How about after my practice this evening?"

"O-okay. Sure yeah. As long as it doesn't cut into my swim time."

"Swim-time?"

"Yeah I'm on the swim team," he raised a tail colored with a shimmering shade of green and blue. "Once I beat the highest time, I'm going to be the fastest swimmer in the school!"

"In school you say," I do love competition. "You wouldn't mind if I raced you, would you?"

"Now? You're not exactly dressed for the occasion?"

"Oh don't worry," A-Lan started to strip off his shirt, hearing Merlinn squeak, he continued with his pants, "I am ready."

"Oh sweet Neptune, you're making this really hard for me."

"Too hard to compete?" Merlinn got a determined look on his face. "I take that as a no then." He continued to climb into the pool.

"Damn right," Merlinn tied his wavy hair up. "Alright pretty boy, from here to the other side, 5 laps, the loser has to buy the food during the date."

"Very well, prepare to taste defeat!"

Moments later…

"Wynter, did you find A-Lan?"

"I did," she twisted a piece of hair in her hand. "And I'm a great wingman."

"What happened?"

"I took A-Lan's bag earlier, not that he noticed and now he's going to be late for practice. You see he got a bit wet..."

Years Later

"Happy Birthday to the Birthday boy!" The 10-year-old ran to A-Lan holding his gift. "I see you inherit your father's hair… unfortunate–What?"

Merlinn glared. "He's ten A-Lan. Besides, he's adorable."

"Not as adorable if he inherited more of his alien side- Please stop glaring. If it wasn't for your beauty, I don't think I'd want to be with such a judgmental creature." Despite his mermaid's anger, his cheeks flushed, matching his hair. What a beauty. Perhaps he did have a type.

"Wait! I'm here! Sorry, my date's running late. He got lost with directions. Oh my gosh hi Lil cutie!" Wynter squeezed Zeddian. "You're so cute! Awe I want a lil pup now."

"Why not just have one then?" A-Lan asked, confused. "Oh right. Sorry. I forgot you were single... again. Lost track- Okay stop with the glare."

"Sorry Wynter," Merlinn gave Wynter an apathetic look. "He is literally of a different world."

"Don't worry. I'm used to dealing with him by now."

"Yes, well enough about us, you said your date is running late? Who might that be, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Oh well, A-Lan knows him! In fact, we used to play football together. It's actually-"

"Sorry I'm late," The two boys eyes widen at the monster towering over them, A-Lan being tall at 6"2, was not prepared for this monster. "I decided to fly and... well, it didn't turn outright. Sorry again."

"That's okay," Wynter went over and grabbed his hand. "As long as you made it here safely that's all that really matters." She stood on her tiptoes and kissed his chin. If Vampires could blush the boys were sure Vince would be. He simply wore a soft smile down at her. He seems to be in a daze. "Now come on! Let's go find Zed."

"Okay," Vince gave a quick wave to the boys, "Nice seeing you again. You too A-Lan."

"I didn't think he could get any bigger," A-Lan said still in shock. "I find it interesting that he seems to follow her like a puppy."

"They do say when a vampire falls in love it's like eternal. Their customs are actually really romantic. They say the dating phase is especially sweet for their partners."

"Oh. Now it all makes sense. Like mermaid customs."

"What do you mean by that?" Merlinn asked. A-Lan grinned getting closer to the redhead. "It means your kind loves to lure people with their beauty."

"Is that all I am, a pretty face?"

"No," A-Lan's lips brushed his boyfriend's throat, "It just means I think I finally lost to someone."

Later that day...

A-Lan admitted defeat as he proposed to his now, fiance, while Wynter gave them both a huge congratulations, and Zed teased Vince for finally working the nerve to date his college crush. While Wynter and A-Lan couldn't be happier.

Willa and A-Spen

"Hunter! You look so handsome! I can't wait to see your date!"

"Mother, please. It's just prawn," Hunter blushed at his mother's comments. Despite his love for her, he knew she was too doting. Unlike his Mom... "Besides it's not like you've never met her. She's practically family."

"I can't help it, sweetie! I just love you so much! Muwa!"

"Mother," Hunter couldn't help the blush creeping on his face. "Please let me be."

"My love," his Mom was at the doorway watching the scene. Arms crossed. A defiant look on her face. "Let him go. You don't want to ruin all the work you did on him. Do you?"

"I suppose not," Mother seem to calm down. Mom had that effect on her. "But Honey look at him," she grabbed my face. "Our baby is all grown up!"

Mom seem to soften. Mother had that effect on her. "You're right. But we grew up at a fast pace too. At least he won't have to go through that."

"Oh Honey!" Mother threw herself at Mom and started showering her with kisses. "I love our family so much!" Mother started to tear up right after. Mom rolled her eyes and kissed Mother on the head. Whispering things into her ear to calm her down. They did have bad childhoods from what I was told. Mom had to be the leader of her pack. While Mother's home planet was destroyed. They both suffered, so I wouldn't have to.

They really were great parents.

Then the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it," Hunter walked past them and answered the door. "Wow! Valerie you look beautiful!"

"Thanks, Hunter," Her cheeks flushed. "You look really handsome too."

"No, but really that dress brings out the little specks of gold in your eyes," Her cheeks were pink; she was only half-vampire. "Even your blush makes your face lovely."

"Awe, you two are so cute!" Mother came rushing down to take a picture. "Oh! Let's get one outside near the arch!"

"Okay, wait. Where are the others?" Valerie rolled her eyes. "Please don't ask," she then whispered, "They're all being crazy in the limo."

"Ah, got it," I said as we took our picture. "Well, I guess we'll just go ruin their fun!"

"Yeah, no kidding," she decided to greet my parents, officially. "It's so nice to see you again and Mother Lykensen."

My Mother was actually non-binary, but she liked the title Mother. It reminded her of her Mother-Ship. Back when Mother Ship was still... functional.

"The feeling is mutually applied!" Mother said as she hugged Valerie. "Now kids have fun and don't get into trouble."

"Yes. Hunter," Mom was at the doorway, her eyes glowing in the moonlight, her voice was serious. "Don't get into trouble."

"Okay Mom. It's not like we're gonna go mess with the moonstone and cause some sort of earthquake," That is what I wanted to say, but I wasn't going to push my luck. Instead, I shakingly said, "O-okay Mom."

She smiled and gave Valerie a hug, "Alright you two. Be safe. Everybody else too."

"And take lots of pictures!" Mother shouted as we made our way to the limo.

Sure enough. Everyone had gone crazy. The Zambie Twins -my cousins- were trying to bite each other. While Zaddian is zombing-out and stuffing brains in his mouth; splattering bits everywhere too. "Hey everyone. Seems like you're all enjoying yourselves. And getting yourselves dirty."

"Calm down Hunts," Zaddian, my best friend, said. "I was just hungry. Besides. Zombing out isn't that hard anymore. We are evolving dude. Plus brains usually make mom feel sick. Especially recently..."

"Babe I told you your mom is pregnant-Ouch! Xylon! Stop it! Hunter's here," Yue said pushing her brother off herself. Yue's mom had been best friends with Zaddion's parents when they were younger, and I heard Yue's dad did kinda have a crush on his mom too. Anyways, "Are we going to pick up your date Xylon?"

"Nah, I dumped that chick this morning," Xylon honestly didn't know how to hold a relationship. He was angered easily by any little thing. "Besides, who needs her? She's a mermaid anyways. Just another pretty face."

"I'm so telling mom you just discriminated against another monster!"

"Well she started it! She was talking mad smack about mixed monsters! How unpure we are. Like hello! Am I not mixed? Imbecile."

"Yeah she did seem like one of those traditional pure-breeds," Zaddian pitched in wiping off the rest of the brains. "Oh well. Hopefully, you'll get lucky and find someone at prawn. I hear there are a lot of singles attending. Don't worry I'll be your wingman!"

"Um no, we'll be dancing, Val and Hunt will be dancing, you sir, will be by yourself," Yue said fixing her hair and sitting next to her date. "Besides why don't you just go ask Albert. I know you two would be so right for each other. You're both hot-headed. And don't like to take no for an answer."

"Please," Xylon rolled his eyes. "When mermaids walk on land."

"Oh my gosh now that you say that I totally see it!" Valerie said squealing. "You two could be a power couple! He's head of the prawn committee too!"

"I heard he's going to be working the front desk. He honestly not that bad." He just has some daddy issues... but I shouldn't bring that up. " I just know because my Mother and his mom used to be some of the survivors of the collapse of their home planet."

"Oh yeah, isn't that crazy?" Zaddian was finally serious. "A few years ago, if not for our parents we wouldn't have been able to go to prawn."

"Yeah," I added thinking about how much Seabrook discriminated against monsters. "And if not for them I wouldn't have been able to go out with Valerie, or any of you for that matter."

"I guess it was crazy back then," Yue added as we all nodded in agreement. "We should get a toast before we get off!" Everyone decided on fresh deer blood. I picked cranberry juice. "To everyone that helped us get to this point in our society. To our parents!"

"To our parents!" We all shouted chugging the drinks down. Once the limo stopped we all got off. Making our way to the front of the entrance.

"Welcome everybody to Prawn," Albert said as he greeted. "I hope you all have your tickets. Might I say you all look lovely? Almost as lovely as me!"

To be fair, Albert Buckman was a good-looking guy, it was honestly his narcissistic attitude that people couldn't stand. Zeddian didn't hate him either. However it probably just had to do with the fact that he was head cheerleader and Zeddian was the all-star football player. They had to work together occasionally. Everybody else though... "And please don't get crazy," his eyes cast a glance at Xylon who growled.

"Don't worry if you set up this prawn, I'm sure nobody will be having a good time," Xylon wore an annoyed expression. "Besides a prawn monster based, isn't that a bit insulting? You're just treating us as if our heritage was a joke! Being put on display like this!"

Oh great, we all sighed. Here we go.

"For your information, monsters are wonderful, and I happen to be an alien genius! So if anything, Humans should be offended."

"I'm not," I intervened. "In fact, I think we should just go in to see if anything is actually offensive."

"Look! Now you offended my cousin!"

"You guys," I tried to start again. "Can we just-"

"If your cousin felt insulted he would tell me! If you want to talk about offensive let's talk about your outfit! It's a crime against everyone here-"

As they continued to bicker me and Zeddian decided to sneak in. Our dates followed. Xylon eventually joined us, mumbling under his breath. We all rolled our eyes and continued to enjoy ourselves. We took pictures, had fun, and at some point started to sing. Zeddian and Yue had the best voices out of all of us. What a shocker! Anyways at the end of the day, I couldn't have asked for a better time.

When I got home I gladly told my parents how it was the best night of my life. For some reason, Mom started to cry and this time Mother comforted her. I guess they really are the perfect pair. I'm a lucky kid.

Sometime in the Past

"Hunter, you've finally been adopted! Congratulations!" Mr. Lacey squealed. "I can't wait for you to meet them. I used to go to school with them. They are a beautiful couple!"

"Okay," I didn't know what to say. "Am I leaving for sure?"

"Yes sir! They're gonna be their nephew so you don't feel alone okay? Now come on! Let's go introduce you!"

I looked up to see a very happy alien. And a very mean wolf. In between, them was a little zombie boy.

"Hi! I'm Zeddian!" The boy seemed very happy. "I heard you're gonna be my new cousin! I can't wait! I don't have any cousins and my mommy and daddy don't want another kid. They say I'm too much but I think they're just being lazy. So what's your name."

"I'm Hunter," Wow he really is nice. "Are the people behind you adopting me?"

"Yeah! They're awesome! Auntie Willa is really good at fighting! And A-Spen is really smart! Oh and nice! Besides they have a really big house! Come on! I'll introduce you! Plus once you get your room I'm gonna need someone to hang out with. Oh! And my birthday is coming up! So you better be ready to come to play with me!"

"O-okay," he really does talk a lot. "Um... hi. I'm Hunter. Thank you for adopting me..."

"Hello, I'm A-Spen. But you can call me Mother! I have heard so much about you! I'm sorry for not introducing ourselves sooner. But if we didn't pick you up on time they would've denied us. Luckily Mr. Lacey gave us a heads up on you sweetie."

"Yeah," the scary wolf one crouched down. "By the way, you can call me Mom. Okay?" she ruffled my hair. "Love your hair. It's really soft and... brightly colored. Here want to touch mine?"

She stuck out a strand. I touched it. "Wow. You have messy hair... Mom."

She smiled. She didn't seem that scary anymore. "Come on Hunter let's go show you you're new home." They both reached out their hands. I took hold. Zeddian followed behind us still talking. But I liked him. I liked my new parents too. They seem like nice people. I think I was gonna like these people.

Stacey, Lacey, and Jacey

Coach Stacey. I never knew I wanted to be a cheerleading coach until I talked with Bucky. Despite Bucky being Bucky, he had grown after traveling through space and whatnot. He was more mature... a bit more open too. Thank the heavens. It was getting old but knowing you come from a line of aliens and be ordinary would be a culture shock to me too. He did help. I asked him how to teach. It was harder than it looked but eventually, I did it. I was grateful for him. Unlike Jacey and Lacey. Ever since Lacey hooked up with a celebrity she changed. She started wanting glamour and expensive things... friends too. It makes me mad. Jacey was no better. He was doing good things but didn't really have time, or tried to make time. It kinda hurt. At some point, I stopped too. I told Zoey once, she is Zed's lil sister, on the team at Seabrook. Zoey thought friends lasted forever. I told her I thought so too. I ended up marrying a vampire. He's a hopeless romantic. We named our daughter Valerie Dawn. She took his last name. As did I. She was my most precious thing in the world. I really wished I could tell my friends. But I guess not...

Lacey Stardust. Married to a popular celebrity I couldn't be happier. Sure I could've married my college sweetheart, but there was something about Micheal that made me feel giddy. Maybe it was the glamour or the fame, but honestly, I couldn't be happier. I might've lost a few friends but I still have my husband. Sure he comes home late. Sure he smells like a different perfume... but he is still with me. And that is what matters. We have two dogs. We can't have kids. I mean I could. I checked. I just don't want to tell him it's him. He can't have kids. He might not like that., but I'm still happy. Still married. I couldn't be happier. I really wished I could tell my friends. But things don't always go as planned...

Mr. Jacey. I don't care that I don't speak to any of my old friends. Nope. Not me. Besides my work is way too hectic as it is. I'm constantly helping kids in and out of homes. I loved it. It was something I found that burns the passion inside of me. Although I found out much later in life, after my first girlfriend was affected by the system when she was younger I decided to help. I don't talk to her anymore. I can't. She ended her life after she ended the relationship. I wish I knew. Maybe I could've done more. Now I have. I don't have time for friends though. It's not a priority. Helping kids like Hunter find parents who will help and take care of him is what I love to do. I don't have time for anybody really. No. But sometimes I... I really wish I could tell my friends. But who has the time...

Zeddian's Party.

They all stared at each other. Mr. Jacey was here only to keep an eye on Hunter's new family. Lacey Stardust's husband was drunk at the moment and she didn't want to be with him. Addison however found her and invited her over. She didn't know where else or what else to do. Coach Lacey's daughter got invited but the birthday boy (they went to school together), and also had a crush on his friend. They stared at each other like strangers. Because despite all their fun in high school, that's what they were now. Strangers. To each other and to themselves.

Bucky and A-Li

Despite being Bucky, years traveling to different planets changed his worldview. Well, the universe. He started to become more accepting of different species, people, and monsters. He was growing because how else can you spread the word of cheer if nobody feels like they'll belong? His cousin taught him that. Not that he would ever admit it to her. He was still Bucky.

He was, of course, still himself. That never would change. One day before one of his takeoffs, he attended a party. It was Bonzo and Bree's baby shower. They were going to have a girl. He was one of the adults moderately drunk and for some reason, he found himself more attracted to ancestry. Specifically a certain bob-cut alien. She never backed down from a challenge. His old self would've been scared but now, it was kinda hot. She seem to be moderately drunk too, so there was consent in what they did.

"So..." he said getting ready. "I'm about to take off. You were great. And I know I was certainly fantastic, but unfortunately, I'm going to take off now. Can't keep the galaxy waiting on me, you know."

"Yeah whatever," she was fully dressed now too. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out."

"Okay then... Say you are on the-" From what Addison said Alien women had a different reproductive system, thus his niece or nephew was on the way. "Medicine?"

"Excuse me?"

"Well, I don't think I'm ready to settle down just yet. Or even if I'd want to if I'm being honest. I can never deprive the universe of me."

"Right, because like you said you're fantastic. Yeah, I am. Don't worry about it. You had a condom on, right?"

"Of course, and it's kinda hard finding the right size for me since, you know, I'm one of a kind."

"Yeah, no kidding."

A-Li found something out a few days after the incident. She was pregnant. She didn't think it was possible. It was only one in a thousand possibilities that could happen. She had her medicine. What happened? She started to grow a few months later. She was mad. And happy. Mainly mad. Lucky for her Bucky came back early due to Addison's birth and she stormed onto the Mothership.

"Bucky!" A-Li stalked towards him. He was currently on the Mothership about to take off. "You liar!"

"Can you be more specific," Bucky said setting the coordinates. "I'd love to play the guess what game but unfortunately I'm about to take off, so either buckle up or get off the Mothership."

"I can't travel to space just willy-nilly! I'm pregnant!"

"Then you should- Wait. Pregnant? W-who's the dad?"

"Who the fuck do you think? It's you, you idiot!"

"You said that you were taking medicine... Did you lie?"

"Excuse me? Did I lie!? You said you were wearing a condom! What did the condom disappear?"

"No! I wore it. I can't afford to have my sperm just running around everywhere! Are you sure it's... mine?"

"Oh no, it must have been another loud, obnoxious, and narcissistic asshole named Bucky!"

"Wow. Okay then... um. Are you going to keep it?"

"No. Wait. Yes, I am. Would you be willing to stay with him, with us? Maybe?"

"Um. I can't answer you right now, I'm... I'm honestly sorry."

"So then what now?"

"Did you want to come with me? I'm still going to leave. Can't afford to waste power. So, yeah."

"No. I'm gonna stay. On earth. Actually, you know what, don't come near me. Us really. I need to calm down before I can stand to even look at you. Goodbye."

She spent a good time by herself. His trips lasted for years. But this one seemed intentionally long. To the point where she gave birth to a little boy. He was perfect. He had her hair, her skin, her face really, except his eyes. They looked like Bucky's soft brown eyes. She named him Albert. Albert Buckman. She still wanted him to know his father... even if his father didn't want to know him.

48 months passed.

Bucky came back. He knocked on her door.

"Um... I took a little longer. We lost power a few times, but you know. Here I am!"

"Hmm..."

"Look I know I should've been here. I'm sorry. I do want him to know that I exist, but I don't think I can stay. I love traveling too much. I have a chance to bring cheer all over the universe like this... so I can't stay... but I don't mind being there. For the kid. If he wants to."

"Thanks but I'm still mad," she slammed the door before he could say anything else.

36 more months passed.

Bucky came back. He saw her. A-Li was playing with her-their son on the porch. He approached slowly.

"Hey A-Li looking as good as ever-"

She grabbed the toddler, rushed inside, and slammed the door.

Yup, still mad.

24 more months passed.

He had been invited to his nephew's party. That's when he spotted him. His son. He was playing with his cousin. Zeddian. He looked a lot like Zed. While his son looked just like his mother... except for the eyes. He had his eyes. He was going to go talk to him. Then felt a chill run down his spine. A pair of piercing eyes seem to scream, Don't even think about it.

He decided it was time to go.

60 more months passed.

"Mother, whose my dad?"

"He's Addison's cousin. Uncle Bucky. But sweetie, he's honestly the worst. And I'm still mad at him."

"Oh. Does he know about me?"

"Yes sweetie, but he's horrible. You wouldn't want to meet him. Especially since he's traveling the galaxy right now."

"Okay. Did you love him?"

"Not really sweetie. I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was a mistake."

"Then," anger tears started to fall. Was I a mistake?"

"What? No sweetie, no no. Sorry Alby. I love you. I do! You were never a mistake. He was... I just wish I had you with someone else, okay? Someone who was going to be in your life every day not just once every few years. I will always love you. You are my very special boy. Okay."

"Okay. Mother. I love you too!"

They both sobbed for a while. Later that night, an explosion awoke the whole town. It turns out Mothership had been going on for too long now. She couldn't handle the travel anymore. And at the moment, Bucky was at a loss. He didn't know what to do.

1 month had passed.

She was done being mad. Maybe because of her son's sobs the other day, or maybe it was because Bucky was stuck now. Regardless she was ready to face him. Her son too. He was already 160 months. He needed some sort of relationship, she supposed. There he stood on the porch with a stupid dazzling smile (Albert had that smile too) and her son with the biggest look of disbelief.

"Hi kiddo, I'm your dad! Try not to be too impressed. Here I got you something!"

"A picture, of you. Wow.

"Yeah I know. I wanted to get you something so you wouldn't forget me. I assume your mother has no pictures of me."

"That's an understatement," A-Li whispered under her breath.

"Thanks Da-Bucky. I really won't forget you now. For sure."

"Uh huh. Well, I was wondering if you wanted to do something..."

"Are you going to take him somewhere," A-Li asked still standing in the doorframe. "He has cheer practice in an hour."

"Oh! You do cheer!" Bucky wore the biggest smile, "That's amazing! I love to cheer! In fact, I've been traveling all over the universe helping other get involved! And accepting it as part of their lifestyle!"

"Is that why you were never here," Bucky's smile dropped. "You were too busy traveling around the universe to stick around!"

"Well um... yes but really it's your mothers fault I-"

"Don't blame my Mother on something you never got held accountable for! I didn't ask to be born! I didn't ask for you to be my dad! You know what thanks for the picture, but I have cheer in 30 minutes. And don't bother telling anyone you're my dad! I rather you still be gone than pretending you want to be here."

"But I do want to be here I-"

"No, you got stuck here. Like how I got stuck with you as a dad..." he was heaving angry tears threatening to fall. "Goodbye, Bucky."

He slammed the door in his father's face. His mother had got the hint and stood further in. She peeked through the eye hole and saw Bucky staring wide eye in shock.

Their son did take after their mother.

72 more months passed

Bucky tried his best to mend the bond with his son over the years he was stuck on earth. He knew A-Li could hold a temper. But Albert... Albert could bathe in it. He would occasionally come around, but Albert eventually got mad and couldn't stand to look at him. He took after his mother, but sometimes Bucky swore he saw his past self in him. But better. He found out his son was dating Eliza and Wyatt's son. Not that they knew Albert was his. He didn't want people to know. But he knew. One day his son asked him...

"Bucky did you ever love mom?"

"Your mother is a brilliant woman, but I honestly just found her attractive. So no. I don't think what your Mother and I had was love."

"Okay. Have you ever been in love?"

"Yes, but it wasn't a person. I obvious love myself-" Albert frowned, " But truth be told. I love Cheerleading. It's been my passion since I was young. I don't think I would've loved anything more than Cheer... Except now." Bucky placed his hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry I never told you this, but I do love you Albert. I just didn't know... how to show you that sort of thing. I've always been somewhat of a coward... Are you okay?"

"N-no! I-I just!" Tears swelled up in his eyes. "I just always wanted a real family but you ruined it... Why couldn't you just be here for me? Why didn't you love us? Love me!"

Bucky pulled his son in close and held him as he cried. "I'm sorry. I really am still a coward. But I do love you son."

Albert finally accepted that Bucky Buchanan was his father. He told his mother he was okay accepting him as his father now. She didn't think that really mattered. Addison seem suspicious from the start but didn't want to say anything until it happened naturally. What a good aunt. It surprised everybody else.

Zed especially.

"Bucky you're saying my son could've had two cousins! This whole time! Well, at least he had Hunter!"

"Yeah, yeah. It was... complicated. Anyway, where's my niece?"

"Oh, Lil Angie. She's with her favorite auntie, well you know, because she didn't know she had another aunt! Until now..."

"Okay look here Zed. I screwed up okay. But I'm here now."

Zed put a hand on his shoulder. "You're right. You are here now. By the way you and A-Li?"

"I know. I guess I do have a thing for aliens. You would know."

"Yeah," Zed stared across the room at Addison. "I would."

A-Li and Bucky never really got to be a family after it all. She couldn't stand him, but she did appreciate his efforts. He didn't really see her in that way either but admitted that she was the better parent of the two. They did have on thing in common though... They loved their son. And their son loved them. That's all that really mattered.

Zoey

It's weird to think that her older brother, Zed, and his former girlfriend, Addison, once came together, along with their friends, to bring about this beautiful mixture of monsters. She and her friend Wendy (one of the first werewolves that came to Seabrook), who both found a similar love for dogs, were graduating as Co-Cheer Captains. She invited her to attend her nephew's 10th birthday party. Everybody was there.

Wyatt and Eliza brought their twins. One more is on the way, apparently. Guess they were trying for a litter of pups.

Bree and Bonzo seem to be getting comfortable around each other. Good. She really missed seeing them together. It didn't seem right seeing them not together.

A-Lan brought his boyfriend from college, Merlinn. He was a beautiful boy. It was no surprise; mermaids had the best skincare routine.

Everyone knew Wynter had a thing for vampires and recently found herself a big one. His name was Vince. He's quite the looker but kinda scary, but Wynter said not to worry. She wasn't afraid of him. He smiled at her answer. I guess no one needs to worry.

A-Spen and Willa brought their kid too. They ended up adopting a human boy named Hunter. He was an adorable Lil 8-year-old. He and Zeddian together were a fantastic duo. Their parents didn't agree except Zed. He tried to encourage their shenanigans. I helped too.

Coach Stacey said she was having a tough time with Lacey and Jacey, but they seemed to be talking. Sort of.

While Bucky seemed nervous when A-Li glanced in his direction. Weird…

Despite it all, Zoey never thought she'd see a day where everyone would come together to enjoy a little monster's Birthday.

FIN.

Thank you for reading I honestly just wanted to write something for an afterward. This series is amazing and I really appreciate the characters all of them. If Addison wasn't in this enough it's because she was the main character, and I only added Zed because I don't know. He seem to fit more into the story. If you want more on a certain couple let me know, otherwise that was the end for these stories.
