Despair, horror, and rage were what I felt when I saw what being X had destined me for.
I woke up in a laboratory... with Nazi symbology and, for more drama at the time, that of the SS.
I was subjected to various medical experiments from an early age, and after my fifth year of life, they decided that their experiment was done. So for the next few weeks, they had me do tests to prove that their experiment had worked. Somehow it did; I had what reminded me of magic from my previous life, but this one was weird, it felt like I could manipulate reality rather than use it like in my second life.
"Erika, levitate the apple," I heard the SS officer say, I looked at the apple in front of me and prepared to lift it, after concentrating a little, the apple levitated as if I had a hand 20 meters away from my body with the ability to lift objects.
"Excellent Erika, now crush it" I imagine 2 forces colliding on the apple, and less than a second later it explodes. Causing the apple juice and apple pieces to fly all over the room
"Outstanding job Erika. Here is your reward," he said while giving me a chocolate bar, as they have given me since I was able to eat solid things.
From what I understood in these 5 years of life, the SS wanted to create a superior Aryan race, and I was the only surviving child of 300 orphans who were subjected to experiments. Thanks to that, they treat me very well, except that my freedoms are restricted, they give me everything I ask for and treat me kindly. One time a soldier insulted me but disappeared the next day. I don't know what they have done with him, I hope he was just transferred.
"Erika, when you finish the chocolate bar, we are going to do an intelligence test," nodding, and I continue devouring the chocolate bar, I couldn't escape. However, I can leave a good impression, I have been acting like a good girl with everyone, sometimes I have even dropped the word father to create a greater connection between us if I can't escape the only thing I can do is improve my stay here.
An explosion was heard quite far away, and out of nowhere, the alarms started to sound, the officer got scared and took out his Luger. "Erika, come with me if you see bad people use your powers."
Bad people? Are we still in the second world war? That's impossible! I always thought I lived in a world of Nazi supremacy, the technological advances at least showed that we were in 1960.
"Bad people?" He started running with me on his back, "No time", he kept running as I heard the familiar sound of an MG-42 shredding everything in its path, my handler met another officer of the same rank while I was distracted looking where the gunfire was coming from, watching as dozens of SS soldiers went where they would never let me pass.
"Listen to me, we have to erase all the information; Himmler has a copy of everything here so we won't lose anything, we can't let this information end up in the hands of decadent Nazism, for Himmler and for real Nazism."
The other officer responded with the same slogan and ran off to remove what I think are all the important documents, it reminds me of what the Federation did when we arrived in Kieva.
Hearing another explosion, the officer seemed to get even more bitter, "Shit, Erika," he took me in his arms. Then, he looked me in the face, "Listen to me, even if I die, don't cooperate with the bad Nazis, ok? Only Himmler can save Germany and the Aryan race".
Nodding slightly, he picked me up again and led me down another corridor I had never seen before, in it was a barricade with what looked like 4 MG-42s but possessing various modifications, "Don't let anyone through even if it costs your life".
Without waiting for a confirmation, he ran until he reached a room, which he opened showing what was a chemical laboratory, he began to take all the documents and burn them, what looked like tubes with different names he threw them into an incinerator to burn them and leave nothing.
Shit, what's going on, Nazis fighting Nazis? What could be more dystopian? Plus I have to be loyal to Himmler? Should I? Maybe he'll offer me unassuming comfort if I'm loyal to him?
An unbelievably deafening sound reached my ears, taking me out of my mind, those were the 4 machine guns, how fast had they arrived? What shitty security this lab has!
Out of nowhere another explosion was heard and the machine guns were silenced, the officer who had been guarding me flinched when he heard that, rushing to eliminate the last samples, I for my part prepared to use my powers, I don't know if these nazis were worse or better, but I couldn't take any risks.
I heard how the Nazi soldiers began to try to break down the door, at the moment they broke it down I put a barrier on the door.
The Nazi soldier was confused when he saw that something had stopped his advance, touching the barrier, he noticed that there was something he couldn't see, he looked at my face for a moment and left, leaving 5 soldiers pointing at what looked like the Stug 44 machine gun but more advanced.
The officer who had been guarding me for years stood next to me, looking like he had finished his job, and looked at the five soldiers with their guns raised at him.
"Erika, can you kill them?"

This is a story I am the editor of from chapter 17 onwards. This story I originally found on Ao3 and got into, later joining the discord and getting to know the author and other people. The actual author of this fic's username is MaxMarco and he recently posted his other fic "Tanya the Tsarina", which is also posted on FFnet under his profile. He gave me permission to post this. This story is reminiscent to me of a CYOA or something from Fiction Live wherein at the end of each chapter a public poll is given to decide what Tanya does, effecting her path and story in some way that will either be obvious, or come to bite her in the ass later.
