Okay now I know this story is a bit out of the blue but I actually got into the atelier series a few years back when a got atelier Sophie a few years ago around Christmas time and played a few other atelier games here and there.

Plus I read a cross between Gundam wing and hyper dimension Netpunia which I was hooked and saw the atelier series didn't get much attention on this sight so I figured it might be nice to see another gundam wing crossover that went outside the gundam universe (while I love gundam seed crossovers they don't really count or at least not completely) that wasn't another f$;#ing harry potter story (I'm sorry but there are too many of those and not enough of anything else.) So here we are.

Traversing an area of outer space where the remains of a colony once used as a base by OZ prior to its destruction was a single leo mobile suit running reconnaissance within the final area of that location.

Once the Leo's sweep was completed its sweep of the area making certain that there was no one truly present the pilot switched on their radio. "This Heero yuy to the Spearhead, I've completed my reconnaissance and confirmed that no groups seeking to jeopardize the earth sphere's current peace are residing in the quadrant."

"Copy that, you may return to the spearhead." Came a voice of the radio

The reason for this current recon mission was to ensure that no pro-war organizations were trying to use the place as a staging ground in secret.

After the incident involving Mariemaia's uprising the world had returned to peace and the gundams were all disposed of since the world had no need of them anymore.

Even so there were still some occasional small movements to oppose the current world established by Relena Dorlin through her policy of absolute pacifism.

As such while the vast majority of the world moved towards disarming themselves the newly established organization known as the preventers worked to make sure that peace was maintained.

While any movement to instigate any type of war was quashed by them before it could get out of hand there were still a fair amount of them and many of the groups behind those said movements were often hiding in abandoned building or colonies such as the one Heero and the rest of the spearhead's crew were currently investigating hence why they were they were their to begin with at all.

Of course as the perfect soldier had just reported there was nothing here which wasn't exactly surprising, over the course of the last couple of months Heero along with the spearhead's crew had been searching out various abandoned colonies and resource satellites throughout space.

Of course all of them were empty so far but the preventer organization needed to be absolutely sure less they risk a hostile group being able to build up their strength overtime and go against the peace of the earth sphere.

While Heero himself wasn't one to complain about the lack of action since it meant that the world everyone lived in today was protected, a part of him couldn't help but feel empty inside. The eve wars were won and his mission from back then was completed but now that the world was truly moving into a more peaceful era the perfect soldier was left at a crossroads as to what he was supposed to do with his life.

His role as a member of the preventers might at least provided him with a job of sorts to settle into but even still his life felt empty and directionless. A part of him wondered if what Wufai had told him during their clash amidst the Mariemaia incident where he claimed both of them could only acknowledge their own existence on the battlefield.

If that were truly the case then would that mean he'd simply have to accept being discarded by the world once peace had been more firmly secure for those living in the after colony era? If that was truly the case Heero would just have to accept that fact, while the prospect was less than appealing the perfect would still hold faith in the world that was established through his effort as well as that of his fellow gundam pilots along with the current efforts of Releena.

Still a rather large part of the perfect soldier was still hoping to find some purpose in life beyond war, something that would give his life meaning. The question was where was he supposed to find that meaning? Duo, Quatre, and Trowa had all found it successfully and while Wufai may have disappeared, Heero had a feeling he'd somehow also find that meaning in a peaceful world also.

That still begged the question of what the former gundam pilot of wing zero was supposed to do with his own life once it was confirmed that there were no more armed groups in the background moving to go against the current peace or planning to do so.

Heero's line was interrupted when suit's sensors suddenly picked up an abnormality which honestly somewhat startled the former gundam pilot as unusual as it sounded. The perfect soldier's first line of thought was that it might have been an enemy mobile suit but to his confusion there was no such unit in sight.

Looking over his radar he saw that it indicated that the abnormality was located in between two large pieces of the colony's remains. "Heero to spearhead, I've detected an abnormality within the vicinity."

"Copy that, be advised to caution."

"Roger that." Heero said before heading head to the general location of whatever he had detected and came upon a gap between two chunks of the colony.

Not wanting to waste any time, Heero made sure his beam rifle was at the ready along with his shield before coming in front of the gap to see what the abnormality was, to his surprise and confusion it wasn't a mobile suit or any piece of machinery for that matter.

The source of the abnormality was none other than what appeared to be a black hole of all things. Heero in what very likely been a VERY rare occasion was left for lack of a better word dumbfounded.

Questions from why a black hole of all things had set his leo's sensors off to why it wasn't swallowing anything around ran through the former gundam pilot's mind, though one inquiry that stood out above any other was how on earth did this black hole elude Heero's notice back when he was patrolling through the remains of the colony.

Heero knew he was thorough throughout his sweep of the colony making absolutely sure no one was hiding within any section that was still relatively intact as well as outside, by all logic there was no way he could have missed this black hole yet somehow the thing had eluded him until his mobile suit's sensors picked it up.

Unfortunately the young mobile suit pilot didn't have time to ponder this as he suddenly felt the leo he was using entire body begin shaking rather violently. Within the following moments he saw on the cockpit's main monitor that his leo was now slowly drifting towards the said black hole bit by bit.

'Like hell that's happening.' The gundam pilot didn't go through the eve wars, the mariemiea uprising, and take a job with the preventers simply to meet his end because of some randomly placed black hole.

In spite of what the perfect soldier may have intended it seemed that fate had other plans as the former gundam pilot found out when he attempted to put distance between himself and the black hole only to find out that his mobile suit had become completely unresponsive.

As the leo drifted ever closer to the black whole small pieces of its armor were ripped off and sucked into the black whole and within the span of only a few seconds this escalated to even larger pieces of the machine's armor before entire limbs began being ripped off by the black hole's force before being swallowed whole.

A flurry of emotions ranging from anxiousness, frustration, and anger all flooded Heero's mind in the final moments before the main body of his leo was also consumed.

Since the leo's control decided to die out at the worst time getting away with the mobile suit itself was out of the question, though at this point even if it was responsive it wouldn't mean anything any longer with the excessive damage the leo was suffering which was only increasing. If Heero tried to exit his machine he'd just be ripped from it and pulled inside the black hole the moment the hatch was opened and the seat belts were undone.

There was no way out of this sudden predicament, as ridiculous as this entire situation was considering how outrageous the circumstances around it were, the fact remained that there was no escaping it.

The perfect soldier, former gundam pilot, the heart of outer space Heero Yuy was going to die here.

Closing his eyes he waited for the inevitable as the main body and anything else that remained of his leo mobile suit was ripped apart and sucked into the black hole.

As Heero lost all feeling within his body he opened his eyes he found himself floating in a seemingly black abyss.

Oddly enough he could still see all of his own body within the darkness as if he was in a place with broad daylight which confused him to no end.

If this was the afterlife than it really didn't match up with any religious tales of what it was supposed to be.

There was no one else here so this place couldn't possibly be a place where the souls of those who have passed on conglomerated.

"Of course not." An unknown voice suddenly said from a direction the Heero could not discern.

Tensing up and becoming far more alert Heero gave the only response that came to mind. "Who's there?" He demanded.

"At ease, I'm not your enemy nor do I mean you any harm."

The teen pilot could only raise an eyebrow at that, while it was by all technicalities true that this unknown stranger hadn't done or said anything that painted them in a hostile light but the fact the Heero couldn't see them or even gain an inkling as to where they were did nothing to ease his sense of wariness. "How am I supposed to believe that."

"It's the truth whether you choose to believe or not but I digress, contrary to your belief I'm here to male you an offer."

Heero's skepticism remained well within his mind but he decided it would at least be worth hearing out considering his current situation. "What type of offer?"

"One where you'll have the chance to find a new meaning in living your life beyond simply fighting within a war."

The former gundam pilot went silent whilst pondering this particular "offer" just a few minutes ago he would have dismissed it as fake since it didn't exactly sound all that rational of at all, then again this entire situation involving a black hole that seeming appeared out of nowhere and now being stuck in some black void wasn't something that could be called rational.

Speaking of the place Heero was in. "I don't know if this offer will do me any good, I don't even know whether I'm still amongst the living or the dead."

"I can assure that you're by all accounts still amongst the living at least for the time being."

"Meaning my life is about to expire soon enough." Heero mused.

"That can happen but it's can also be prevented."

"Does this have to do with your offer?" The perfect soldier asked.

The unknown stranger paused for a moment and though Heero could not see them something told him that they were now smiling.

"You're as sharp as ever, I suppose that's to be expected of someone of your caliber."

"You make it sound like you know me."

"All I'm at liberty to say is that I'm something of an observer to your world as well as many others."

"Are you meaning to imply there are other worlds besides my own?"

"Precisely which brings me to my offer for you, as things stand you're teetering on the very edge of death and only alive due to my intervention, otherwise your death would be instantaneous but I felt that after all you've done for the people of your world establish true peace within it and maintaining it when it was almost due to an attempt to establish an autocracy that you deserved better than a sudden end like the one the worldly rift was about to give you."

"You're referring to the black hole that swallowed me."

"Yes that particular black hole unlike most traditional ones was actually a world rift which is essentially a tear in space and time that acts as a temporary pathway to other worlds, albeit one no one can ever hope to traverse through and live assuming they ever even encounter one in their lifetime."

"Should I take it that these "worldly rifts" appear rarely?" The teen pilot inquired.

"Very much so, in fact they only appear maybe once or twice in a century in some random location in outer space and that is only for a few minutes at most before disappearing., so the odds of someone actually encountering one were well….you can guess the odds."

Heero let out an annoyed groan, to think that that he was about to meet his end in such a ridiculous way, had it not already happened he'd consider the idea unacceptable. Still if he was being offer a chance to practically spit right in death's face after it's attempt to cheat him, at the very least he had nothing to lose at this point. "So what's this offer you're making."

"To allow you safe passage to the other world the rift is connected to for a chance to find new purpose there."

"Is there anything you want in return? It sounds too convenient for you to make this offer for free."

"As I told you before I want to offer you the chance to live your own life peacefully after all the lives you saved back in your world, though if I must request something in exchange for the sake of making it sound more believable then I'll ask this."

"I'm listening."

"Should danger ever arise to the inhabitants of that world I would like you to stand against it."

"Agreed."

"So I take it this means you're accepting my offer."

"I've nothing to lose considering the ultimatum." Heero mused.

The unknown stranger could be heard chuckling for a few moments before replying. "That is true, before I send you off however I should tell you in advance, the world you are going to is vastly different for your own."

"In what regard?"

"All I'm at liberty to say is that it'll feel like something out of a fantasy, the rest you'll having to discover for yourself."

Heero didn't give any further reply.

"So I take it, you're ready to depart for the other world?"

The former gundam pilot only nodded before a far off light appeared in front of him before very quickly increasing in brighting until Heero was forced to close his eyes whilst the light grew to the point the it overtook the black abyss and completely enveloped Heero.

XXXXX

Since he was forced to Keep his eyes firmly shoot Heero couldn't tell what was happening around at all, the only physical change he felt was his body slowly descending to somewhere he couldn't tell for the life of him.

The next thing the mobile suit pilot knew he felt pain suddenly manifest within numerous parts of his entire body before swiftly increasing to a point the Heero felt like he had just self detonated his original wing gundam all over again.

The pain almost was enough to distract Heero from noticing when his back was seeming pressed against what felt like solid ground. Getting a better feel for it he noticed that it felt as if it might have been grass with a bit of dirt here and there but it was impossible to truly tell with him being blinded by wherever that light was coming from.

If he had truly changed locations then he needed to ascertain where he was as soon as possible but as things stood the light was too bright for him to even remotely open his eyes.

As if on que the said light finally started to die down bit by bit allowing the mobile suit pilot to finally open his eyes and get a sense of his surroundings.

The first thing that greeted his sight was an endless blue sky above him and scrutinizing the immediate area around him the mobile suit pilot noticed that he was laying just off a side of what appeared to be a dirt road from the looks of it one that was going through a forested area with pieces of his destroyed mobile suit scattered around the area.

Wherever the teen soldier had ended up it was very clear he was no longer in outer space however irrational it might have seemed but that was all he could make out when it came to where he had ended up since the immediate area was densely populated with trees.

His first objective as of now was to find some kind of settlement to find out where he was and gather more information from there.

Looking at his body Heero saw it now sported various injuries and cuts, a somewhat alarming number in fact, the only positive was that Heero could still move his body albeit with a great deal of strain now.

Standing up Heero glanced at both sides of the road before picking a direction more or less at random, he didn't know where either side would lead or which one was actually the best to take but he couldn't stay with whatever forested area he was currently residing in, he needed to find somewhere to get his current wounds treated and there was no telling what animals lurked within this place.

The only potential problem was that Heero wasn't entirely sure how far he'd be able to make it with the current condition his body was in, if it was possible he would have vied to treat his injuries to the best of his abilities on the spot before heading out but unfortunately he didn't have any medical supplies on him, in fact the only things he had were a handguns with a single clip and a combat knife.

At the very least he had a means to defend himself if the need arose though he would really prefer it didn't now of all times. The perfect soldier felt a tinge of frustration sweep over him as he continued his slow trek through the place he found himself in.

Why his body was injured out of the blue like this was anyone's guess, with the way parts of his destroyed leo mobile suit were scattered around the area he might of choked his injuries up as the result of a crash landing but there wasn't enough damaged to the forest to make that assessment with absolute certainty.

Maybe the result was the result of going through a worldly rift, that stranger did inform Heero that he would have been dead before he ever reached this world without that unknown stranger's intervention.

While Heero was grateful he was still amongst the living, his current situation was a bit too far from ideal. Unfortunately it might have just gotten worse in that moment as Heero heard rustling from a nearby bush.

Acting quickly Heero pulled out as hand gun and aimed at the bush that the sound was coming from before whatever was moving around emerged.

The perfect soldier found himself internally stunned when the creature that emerged turned out to be something he had never laid eyes on before, in fact it wasn't something that even existed in his world.

The creature in question was more akin to something from a light heart fantasy world having a small slightly domed shaped body that looked to be made out of some kind of gelatinous like substance which was sky blue in terms of color, the most odd feature about the creature in question however were its pair of bead eyes and smile just underneath them.

Heero for a moment wondered if the stranger had just sent him into some world that an elementary schooler would have thought up within their imagination before the creature in question suddenly morphed its body to take a more spherical shape and began rolling toward the mobile suit pilot at rather high speeds.

Luckily the perfect soldier in spite of his current condition was able to pivot his body in the nick of time to avoid the gelatin like creature as it shot itself off the ground towards his chest.

Having missed its target the creature's body impacted a tree instead with a rather surprising amount of force completely tearing away the bark and leaving a small creature within the part of the tree it had hit.

Seeing this made one thing clear, while this thing might have looked like something out of a cartoon for little kids it was hostile and more so to the point a threat.

Taking aim Heero quickly fired off a bullet at the gelatin like creature, once the bullet his the creature's body rippled visibly while it closed its eyes and scrunched up its face making it evident that this thing was in pain.

Much to Heero's chagrin however the creature was still very much alive and after getting over its initial state of pain turned into a sphere once more and took off towards the mobile suit pilot who merely kept his weapon steadily aimed at it.

As the creature came closer the perfect soldier waited for the opportune time to shoot it which came the moment the thing leapt into the air towards him. With the creature now suspended in the air Heero didn't need to worry about the thing somehow avoiding his next shot as he let it loose into the creature.

This time when the bullet hit the creature's body popped into shreds which in turn completely disappeared leaving no trace that the creature was ever there to begin with.

Once more the Heero was left confused as what had just happened, what was that thing and why didn't it leave any body once it died, while he already knew he was in a different world and he was informed that it would be vastly different but something as irrational as that creature he was just attacked by was far from what he could have imagined.

Unfortunately the mobile suit pilot didn't have time to ponder this as two more blue gelatinous creatures suddenly emerged from the surrounding trees and were heading right towards him.

Heero fought off the urge to growl in frustration, he was not in mood to fight off these things, especially with the current condition he was in, it was already enough of a strain just to stand or walk right now, having to fight to preserve what was left of his well being would not help matters in the least.

Having no choice Heero waited until both creature had leapt at him in sphere form before releasing a shot into, one of them was thrown back from the impact of the bullet but to the mobile suit pilot's surprise the other incoming creature body rippled upon impact with the bullet sent towards it but maintain its collision course.

Being caught off guard and injured on top of that Heero was unable to dodge the attack headed for him as the creature's body hit the former gundam pilot's hand sending his hand gun from his hand leaving it in a dismantled state in the process before hitting Heero square in the chest with such force that the perfect soldier felt the air leave his lungs as he was sent skidding across the ground.

'Dam-dammit!' The teen pilot thought as he coughed up blood, it seemed when the gelatin like creature impacted him it caused a bit of internal damage to him as well.

Things only got worse when the other creature, having recovered from being shot recovered and rolled towards Heero possibly intending to ram him in his side which only caused the perfect soldier to internally grimace.

Just that first hit had rendered him unable to get up, another would be than likely render him unconscious at best, at this rate Heero was going to be killed.

Was what that stranger offered a lie? No Heero somehow doubted that, if the unknown stranger actually wanted him dead it would have just been a matter of not intervening when he was initially swallowed by that world rift. Regardless the fact remained that he was moments away from losing his life here instead now making the decision of taking up that offer completely worthless.

But what was he supposed to do? If not for the injuries he suddenly had upon arriving in this new world he would have been able to deal with these creatures far more effectively but this grim situation was to reality he was dealing with.

"Hold on!" An unknown voice called out before the creature that was about to hit Heero in his side was hit itself by some type of… particle of light?

The creature was sent sailing away from the former gundam pilot whilst the one that had worsened his condition decided to try and finish the perfect soldier off before a figure suddenly ran between Heero and the creature before knocking the thing away with what looked like a staff of some kind.

The perfect soldier was unable to make out much as fate would have it his condition was taking hold of him and he found himself slowly losing consciousness as he was left wondering who had come to his rescue, the only feature he was able to male out aside from their weapon was a blue coat.

Alright that's it for this first chapter, sorry if it felt rushed but I wasn't able to think of a way to dragged of the first part of it where Heero was in his world and the worldly rift to make it longer than just 1500 to 2000 words so I had to extend it all the way until he made to Sophie's world but even then I couldn't think of a way to make this a 10000, I assure you future chapters will be longer.

Anyway I hope this was at least a decent enough start to the story, I threw in the encounter with the punis so you all could enjoy a bit of an action scene
