The only thing that filled the air around them were nature's sounds and melodies.

It wasn't complete utter silence, but Antauri couldn't argue how relaxing it was. Gibson recently finished something up and realized he hadn't spent much time with Antauri lately. That was something he couldn't deny as they realized it as well. There wasn't much they could do at this late hour, so instead of waiting until tomorrow, the two decided upon looking at the stars. It had been a while since either of them took the time to enjoy what was naturally out there.

Their tail intertwined with his. Neither had spoken a word since they got outside. Not that Antauri minded, of course. Sometimes it was better to be around someone and not exchange a single sentence. Just being there was enough for them and he was sure it was the same for Gibson as well.

He closed their eyes as they fully relaxed into the grass below his silver body. Gibson inched closer and rested his head on Antauri's chest. His arm was laid over his body. Their tails were still connected. They opened his mouth but quickly closed it as soon as he remembered. There were times Gibson wanted some physical contact. There were times he initiated hugs and kisses, not him or the others. It only felt unexpected when it happened due to how little he did it.

Antauri rested their arm on Gibson and held him close.
