"That was…Joran." Lanz said, looking at the massive hole in the clouds the explosion made.

"Yeah, sure was. I swear, he hadn't changed one bit." Eunie added.

"But this…isn't okay…People shouldn't have to make such heartbreaking choices." Noah choked out.

"Yeah, That's exactly why…we gotta move forward," Lanz said, with burning eyes.

"Yeah, well…" Eunie still looked uncomfortable. Even though D, the origin of her trauma has died. She wasn't quite satisfied with the fact that it was Joran who finished him off with his sacrifice.

"Then…to make a step further….we should go see the queen. Or…is the queen still alive, anyway?" Lanz said as he turned around and returned to the Agnus team.

"Uh…yeah…about that…" Mio mumbled.

(Upstairs)

"Wh…what…? The queen's body…is…gone…?"

"No…nonononono! This can't be the sparking truth! Then what now!? What about our real queen?" Eunie screamed.

"I really hate to admit…but…it looks like the Moebius D really did the queen… Hah…if he missed at least two ceteris to the side…." Taion said, his face full of agony and frustration.

"D….? D...you say….? Arrrghhh! D! You…sparking….little….Urgghhh!" After hearing Taion's words, Eunie's trauma about D immediately turned into unlimited fury. She repeatedly punched the empty pod stained with the queen's blood, and finally, she banged her head into it.

"Eunie, stop. The queen's not gonna come back even if you do that. And you're gonna hurt yourself!" Noah grabbed her from behind to stop Eunie from causing brain damage.

"But…but…Noah…I…you…urrgh…!" Feeling the rush of mixed emotion inside her, Eunie was in the verge of tears. And after clenching her trembling bloody fists, she finally broke down and started to cry into Noah.

"Why…why does it have to end like this…For all we've done so far…For all we've lost…Stopped by a single claw…." Eunie sobbed.

"I feel you, Eunie. I feel you." Noah comforted Eunie, patting her back. He turned around to see the rest of the party. Sena also broke down to tears and was crying inside Mio's embrace, Lanz and Taion were filled with agony and disappointment.

"But…it looks like….She's…gone… She's really gone…" Noah mumbled.

"Out of our life…" Lanz sighed.

"I…was wrong… I'm to blame… I…was…so untrue to myself…" Mio said, swallowing a sob.

"Mio….you're not…You didn't do anything wrong." Noah said.

"I am…half Moebius… I should've noticed that they would find me with their tracking system…I…hah…I know I can't do it without her majesty's power…"

"Guess…there's only an empty space left in our lives…." Lanz said.

"All of our dreams lost…All we could do is just wasting away…" Taion added.

"At least…we can…send her off. I think…that's the most we could do right now." Mio said, as Sena wiped her tears and parted away.

"Agreed. We could think about our next act later. Now, let's send her in peace." Noah picked up Miyabi's flute. Mio also picked up Noah's flute. And then, they started to play a farewell song for their queen.

"Forgive me, your majesty…" Mio muttered before she put her lips on the instrument, and after that, she reached the highest note she could even reach with the flute.

"Wow…I've never seen Mimi reaching this high…" Sena said in awe.

"It may be the manifestation of her emotion right now. Although my ears are getting a little bit pierced, I feel her heart blasting through that little instrument." Taion said.

"Yeah…surely do…" Lanz added.

The party watched as Nia's particles vanished towards the sky.

(At the particular cliff where they received the key)

(This time Ghondor properly gave them the key)

The cliff was very silent. Only the sound of waves was heard. And in the silence, a couple was there.

"The breeze feels so good…Isn't it, Noah?" Mio said, playing with her new long hair.

"You don't sound like the same Mio at the cloudkeep who hit the highest note in off-seeing history. You rather sound like…a certain blonde though…." Noah chuckled, also playing with Mio's new long hair. Her new hair was indeed stupidly long.

"Blonde?"

"Uh…no, no, It's nothing. It just popped inside my head." Noah said.

"Well…that was that…Then…what do we do now? Our queen's dead now… We…lost our sense of direction…" Mio sighed.

"Yeah…and our guys haven't recovered since that day…Eunie and Sena are depressed… And Taion and Lanz won't move. Well…Taion might be thinking some other plans…but I've never seen him that undermotivated…"

"That's true…hah…but you know…I don't think what we've done was meaningless." Mio said, lying down.

"Oh? Why then?" Noah asked, lying down next to her.

"You know…the fact that I'm still alive and kicking is all thanks to you guys, and we wouldn't have even reached cloudkeep if we didn't come here. Although our plan got really messed up in the end…but I think we can do it. If we do it together." Mio grabbed Noah's hand.

"Yeah, together. We're always interlinked, you know." Noah said, with a bitter smile.

"That's my Noah." Mio smiled, and stood up, looking at the Moon. She pulled her diary out of her jacket and opened it.

"This…page is supposed to be the last page of my diary. I…never imagined I'll complete this diary and be able to read it after the big day…I still can't believe it right now. And this diary…is one of the most valuable things I've ever had. Our journeys…the emotions I've felt during it…are all inside this little book." Mio said, putting the diary close to her chest.

"Indeed. I always looked up to you about keeping diaries. Keeping one can be really troublesome, you know."

"Heh, you can get used to it if you keep it for long." Mio laughed.

"You know, Noah…I thought of a name of this diary, or our entire journey so far." Mio said, facing Noah.

"Oh, what is it?"

"Noah…I think our adventure really has been…the Xenoblade Chronic…."

Mio's words were blocked by Noah's kiss.

"Wh…where did that come from….?" Mio said, gasping for air.

"I sensed something dangerous coming out of your mouth, so I stopped it," Noah said, with a blush.

"Oh, with YOUR mouth?" Mio giggled. "Where did you learn that? That…was…actually…pretty…good."

"From…I don't know…another me from generations ago…?" Noah shrugged.

"Heh, you know…he was way better in my memories," Mio said, with a smug face.

"Oh yeah?"

"So…Noah."

"Yeah?"

"Satisfy me. And by this, you can start to surpass N," Mio said, opening her arms wide.

"What're you saying, don't you remember I beat that guy in the castle?"

"Hey, when did you become so smug? Shut up and come here." Mio said, as she pulled Noah into her embrace.

"Heh….you know…"

"Hmm?"

"Love you, Mio."

"Love you too, Noah."
