It was the night before she was starting school, so she had Peach and Raya over for a sleepover, and they were being cubs playing games, having snacks plus had did each other's claw-nails and Casey's had her Raccoon Girl emblem on them making her impressed along with Branchie just as Gamora walked into the room making them wonder, if everything was okay.
"Alright you guys, bedtime as Casey has her first day of fourth-grade in the morning." she told them, seeing them nodding seeing her turning off the light making Peach and Raya turn on flashlights seeing the glow in the stars on Casey's walls activating relieving Branchie, hearing Peach and Raya say that it was time to tell stories and that part of sleepovers were not sleeping impressing Casey but she'd never been to many sleepovers being Raccoon Girl which they got, getting an idea hearing Peach and Raya were telling her a story about her dealing with her anxiety about Planet School which was making her feel better yawning hearing Raya ask her, if she was feeling better.
"Uh-huh, your story made me feel better like the ones my dad and I used to make up, involving Raccoon Girl." she said falling asleep which Branchie, Peach and Raya thought sweet so were staying up just being a little quiet so they wouldn't wake her up like Gamora told them playing games along with having snacks only by morning, they were asleep just as Casey awoke feeling better getting ready for her day goijg downstairs seeing her parents alomg with Ranger and Riley seeing Emily and Shocket at the table, who were surprised that she was awake this early, making her roll her eyes especially at Shocket's surprise.
"It's the first day of school, that's why I wasn't out being Raccoon Girl or up all night with my friends." she told her
"Yep, that's good, honey, plus love your claw-nails, did one of your friends do it." Rocket said to her as Branchie joined her having Groot Morning pancakes and juice which was helping wake her up mentally because she was going with Casey to school to help with her anxiety about school, plus saw she'd fed her pet bazaki, Rufus before going downstairs hoping she hadn't woken Peach and Raya guessing they'd been up all night which Ranger chuckled at, despite Rocket rolling his eyes at his brother and Gamora had made Casey, Emily and Shocket lunches making Shocket frown, so would trade her lunch or give it to Galacta who was one of her best friends who loved junk food, besides she had lunch-momey leaving for school only Casey was quiet while Emily and Shocket were talking on the way thinking about fourth-grade especially the other kids.
When they got into Avengers Campus and heading to her new locker for the new year, she discovered Branchie in her backpack asking if Rocket knew seeing her nodding, putting things including her lunch in her locker taking a deep-breath heading to the fourth-grade room sitting at the back of the class however she was dreading after lunch, because her teacher said they'd get to know each other which Branchie got, squeezing her paw gently while Casey was paying attention to her teacher feelijg better, hearing the lunch bell making the rest of her grade excited to leave the room like at recess seeing lots ofkids sitting together at tables including Linda, Shocket and their friend-group at a table hearing them laughing noticing Limda and Shocket had bought lunches, giving Galacta their home made ones making Casey frowning, which Branchie got finding a vacant table where she didn't have to talk to other kids, unaware Shocket was looking this way.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." Branchie told her, twirling like a princess making her grin for the first time that day.
That afternoon after the final bell rang to signal the end of the day so the kids stampeded outside including Casey noticing Linda, Shocket and their friends walking off, as Shocket tapped her shoulder making the female-cub turning around wondering what her super—soldier of a sister wanted, hearing her asking if she was okay seeing her nodding.
"Yeah it was okay, is there something you want, Shockie." she asked.
"Ducky and me along with our friends are gonna hang out, tell dad okay." she said.
Casey nodded shyly leaving to skateboard home, hearing Branchie giggling, enjoying the ride, until they reached home entering through the front-door seeing their dad there asking how her first day had went telling him how it went relieving him asking where Shocket was, telling him hearing him sigh hoping Shocket was not getting into trouble seeing Gamora shrugging her shoulders knowing that Shocket was very like Rocket in personality seeing Ranger and Rilley exchanging asmirk and Rocket yawning because six hours of school wiped him out of energy, seeing Gamora kiss his furry cheek which made Riley smile finding that sweet seeing her younger brother go upstairs, his furry tail dragging behind him, as Emily returned hugging her mom making Gamora grin, which Ranger and Riley loved.
"Hey sweetie, how was school." she asked her seeing her eating cookies and drinking chocolate-milk her favourites telling her, Ranger and Riley softly surprising Ranger and Riley at how soft-spoken the female-cub was compared to their brother impressed seeing Emily going upstairs by wall-crawling seeing Gamora shaking her head.
Later Shocket returned before dinner relieving Gamora and Rocket as they'd been wondering where she'd been and what the cub had been doing impressing Ranger at her muscluar furry body unaware of her being given super-soldier serum by the High Evloutionary like they and Rocket had been given cybernetics making Shocket stunned.
"You and Ranger are gonna get alomg great, you know." Riley said to her niece seeing Casey and Emily exchange a look which Rocket understood, knowing he and Gamora loved all three cubs equally compared to his, Ranger and Riley's mom, Roxy making Riley frowning at that
"Mom does love us equally now, after realising her mistake." she told them.
