Sarah was exhausted, she hadn't the energy to heal the stab wound and instead just shroom zoomed herself across the world to the only place she knew she could possibly be safe. Which just so happened to land her in Tally's bedroom in the Marshal's house. Perhaps it was because part of their connection was still there and that's why she was automatically drawn there.
She managed to land on her feet but her legs felt so heavy, suddenly her whole body felt heavy. The Mother was trying her hardest to help heal her from so far away but it was taxing on her. In exhaustion and pain Sarah slumped against the wall, her hand flying to the gash in her stomach. Trying to stop the bleeding and trying to fix herself at the same time was hard. The door opened and there was Tally flicking the light on, for some reason she wasn't all that surprised that Sarah was in her room.
It was the flicker down to Sarah's bloody hand that surprised her the most and Tally rushed to her side, grabbing Sarah around the waist and walking her to her bed and laying her down.
"Rae is way better at this than me, maybe I should go get her," Tally looked at her with such worry it almost made Sarah think she was seeing things.
"No, you are good enough, just you," Sarah managed to strangle the words out with the last of her strength.
Tally pulled up her shirt and laid her hands on her, the blood coating her fingers as she concentrated on healing her wound. It took her a little longer than it would take Rae but she managed to get her healed, she was surprised really because she hadn't ever really been that good at fixing.
Sarah had passed out by the time it was healed and once Tally was certain the wound was completely healed she went and grabbed some water and washcloths and cleaned the blood from her skin. She went and washed the blood off from her own hands and then came back with a clean shirt for her to wear. She gently removed her jacket and went to work removing her shirt and replacing it with a new non-bloody one.
Tally sat at her bedside and if Sarah mumbled in her sleep she was there to sooth her with gentle words and smoothing her hair back. Then Tally found herself laying down beside her, holding onto her hand in hopes of comforting her in her sleep and as Sarah mumbled something again Tally squeezed her hand and promised, "It's alright. I'm here." Causing Sarah to quiet again.
Tally soon fell asleep beside her only to awake in the morning to Sarah's coat draped over her and the side of the bed empty. Tally panicked and sat up only to find Sarah standing looking out the window, the sunlight shining on her profile. Tally found her name passing her lips without restraint, "Sarah?" Which caused the older witch to turn towards her with a smile.
"Good morning, Tally. Thank you for last night."
Tally looked her up and down with worry, "Are you alright?"
"I am, thanks to you. I knew you could do it."
The Knower let out a sigh of relief, "Is it weird not having biddies to take on your pain anymore?"
Sarah looked down as she thought for a minute, "I…I am grateful that I do not have biddies to take on my wounds anymore or my age for that matter. But it is kind of lonely having my mind to myself again. Although the Mother occasionally pops in to say a word or two."
They sat in silence until Tally spoke up again, "Thank you, for believing in me."
"Of course. I just hope one day you will believe in me again." Tally looked away in shame as Sarah continued, "But right now I need your help, Tally Craven."
"Let me guess you need me to help you find another piece of the first song?"
Sarah held up a small box and smiled, "You are a prophetess after all."
"How far do you need me to look?"
Sarah knelt at the side of the bed and grasped Tally's hand, "We're not going to look into the future, we're going to look into the past."
The redhead gulped, she'd never looked into the past before, she worried she wouldn't be able to do it and she'd let Sarah down but the brunette's grip on her hand tightened and she smiled at her with eyes full of pride.
"Believe in yourself, Tally. Just as I do. Do not worry, I'll be right here with you every step of the way."
Tally found herself grinning back at her, "Well then, let us begin."
