James stumbled back to his hotel room in the very early hours of the morning. After a night out with the boys, let's just say a few too many drinks were consumed.
Once he managed to scan his keycard, he made his way inside and into the sitting room. He therefore had not noticed that the television should not be on. Were he not been so inebriated he would have realised he had indeed turned it off before he left the room that night.
Slumping down onto a chair he settles in to watch what was playing; Ghostbusters of all things.
In his drunken stupor, he failed to notice the other presence in the room with him. Thus, there was no struggle and James was knocked unconscious after a vicious blow to the head. He came to a short time later, still a little confused but aware enough to notice one hand was tied to the headboard of his bed. On the side table, he spies a bottle with a weird label and a syringe with its plunger down. As it is, James is still not quite there and still can't put two and two together.
"Something strange, in the neighborhood, who you gonna call?" The movie must be at its credit scene.
A whisper in his ear startles him "nobody" James' head whips towards to the voice. The figure that had snuck in was in all black clothing and wearing a wolf mask; gloves and shoe protectors cover his hands and feet respectively. In one hand he holds a pair of scissors and in the other he holds up the hotel telephone with its cord cut. James is finally aware enough to realise he was in trouble. He looks to the table and looks closer at the bottle; it states Potion N.86. He frantically tries to break free of the ties holding him to the bed, but as the struggle wields no results, he realizes the futility and stops.
"I've been told that potion is highly lethal... I'd say you only have a few minutes to live."
"P-please, help!"
"Mmm I don't think I will" James can feel his insides burning and he can tell he is sweating bucket loads.
"Not long now" croon's the man. He can tell James' organs are starting to fail and he leans in.
"If you're seeing things running through your head, who you gonna call?''
"N-no-nobody" James' head slumps back on to the pillow and the killer knows he is gone. He quickly leaves his calling card. A lightning bolt here and the letter 'G' there and next to James' head he leaves a little snake charm.
Leaving the room, the CCTV footage picks up a humming tune which sounded oddly like the Ghostbusters Theme song. Back in the room, a body lies on the bed and the tv paused on the credits casting an eerie light on the scene.
