SYMBOL OF HOPE

CHAPTER ONE: SIX QUIRKS? AND UA ENTRANCE EXAMS

Summary: In a world where 80% of the population are born with an ability called quirks, Ken Suzuki is born with not just one quirk but six quirks. Now he sets out to become one of the greatest heroes in history. And become a symbol. The Symbol of Hope.

Chapter 1: Quirk And UA Entrance Exams

"Wait, what?" A man that looks in his late 20's with short black hair, fair skin and blue eyes wearing a yellow t-shirt with brown pants and black shoes exclaims wide-eyed and with shock evident in his voice. Sitting beside him is a 4 year old boy with spiky black hair that points forward and both sides with bangs framing his face with tanned skin. He has dark purple eyes and is wearing a light blue t-shirt with black shorts and shoes. The boy had a slightly confused look on his face.

"Yes I know Mr. Suzuki, it's quite shocking but as I said." A man looking in his 40's with brown hair and wearing a doctor's outfit says as he looks at the file in his hand. "Young Ken here has not only just one quirk but six different quirks." The quirk doctor states.

"S-so he has more than one quirk?" Mr. Suzuki, Ken's father, comments still in shock. The man had a weak wind quirk and he thought his son would just have a slightly more stronger version of it. But he didn't expect this!

The doctor just shakes his head. "Yes." He says. "But the quirks are all dormant. So he doesn't have access to them until each one awakens."

"When will that be?" It was Ken who asked that.

"Yes. You won't just gain all six quirks at once. You'll gain each one at a particular time. The body is meant to only handle one quirk at a time, two being extremely rare, but since you'll be having six quirks, your body will have to adjust in time to be able to contain all of them. Having six quirks at once might put serious strain on your body." The doctor elaborates more earning nods from the two Suzukis. "Although the quirks are currently unknown."

"Unknown?" Mr. Suzuki asks. The doctor rubs his head before explaining. "Yes. You see how we do things here is we first check the body to see if he has a quirk, which he does. Then we use a machine to scan him to figure out what quirk he has. All we were able to get was that he'll have six quirks. Though what quirks are a mystery."

"I see, that makes sense." The father says in understanding as he rubs in chin in.

"So, that means that I'll be super strong then!" Ken asks in excitement at the thought of having six super awesome quirks. Well any child would be excited at the thought of that. His father just chuckles as he stares at his son's excited expression.

The doctor just smiles and pats the boy's head. "Well it depends on the quirks but I believe you'll be one of the most powerful heroes in the future. You want to be a hero right?" The doctor asks.

The boy just nods his head repeatedly. "Yeah, yeah. I wanna be the greatest hero. So Mr. Doctor, you know when I'll get my first quirk?" The boy asks hoping the man would know. To his disappointment, the doctor shakes his head. "I do not know young one. It may come tomorrow, next week or maybe in a few years. You just have to wait."

Ken's frown just changes into a grin. "Well, that's alright, I'll just wait then. And I can always just train myself while I wait."

"Hehe, sure you can. And I can help." Mr. Suzuki says as he grins down at his son who just smiles brightly. The man then looks back at the doctor. "Well thanks for your time doctor. We'll be off now." He says as he gets up and leaves with his son.

"See ya doc." Ken says with a wave. The doctor chuckles and waves back at him.

Eleven Years Later

UA High School, Musutafu

"So this is UA High school huh." A 15 year old Ken Suzuki says with a neutral expression on his face. He had grown over the past eleven years since he found out he was gonna have six quirks. He was now standing at a height of 5'6 and had an athletic build with well compressed muscles. His hair was still the same spiky black and he had grown more handsome in terms of looks. He was wearing a black jacket with a red zipper and black pants with white shoes and a dark purple scarf around his neck. The scarf belonged to his mother.

She had died on his third birthday and since then it was only him, his dad and elder sister. He had always held onto the scarf since it was something his mother gave him before passing away.

His neutral expression changes as a grin begins to form on his face. "Hehe. I'm so excited for the exams." He says excitedly as he walks towards the school's entrance. Over the years he had developed an interest in quirks. He always got excited seeing a cool quirk and would write about it in his 'Quirk Book'. He had also been training his body with his father, who had also taught him a bit of how to fight. He then thought back to how he got his first quirk.

Flashback

A 13 year old Ken was currently at his house's garage training as he was punching a punching bag. He was wearing a sleevless red vest with black shorts and shoes. He had been finished his daily training and he had been punching the punching bag for about fifteen minutes now.

"Alright now for a final one." The boy says as he cocks his right arm back and clenches his fist ready to throw one last punch before heading inside. As he threw the punch he didn't expect what had happened next.

His punch sends the punching bag flying and crashing through the wall leaving a hole in the wall as tiny piece of rubble fell from the open hole. The boy stares at what he had done with wide eyes. He wasn't that strong so how had he done that. Unless…

"I've awakened my first quirk." The boy says before he grins. "Yeah! I finally have a quirk!" He cheers loudly before he stops as he felt great pain from his right arm. He looks at it and his eyes widen when he sees that it was broken badly.

"AAARGH! IT HUURTS!"

Flashback Over

After he had gotten his arm treated, he had told his dad and sister about it and they were happy for him. He had tested the quirk out and turns out it amplifies his base strength and speed to superhuman levels. It also granted him high durability. He had given the quirk the name Power-Up.

As he continued to walk towards the entrance, he noticed that some of the girls were staring at him like he was some piece of meat or eye candy with slight blushes on their faces.

'Is there something on my face?' He thought as he rubs his face to see if there was anything but he didn't feel a thing. 'Nope, they must just be weird.'

Yup, the boy's dense.

He then spots a familiar face as he was about to enter the school running up to where he was. The person is a somewhat short girl, with messy dark green hair that went down to the middle of her back, fair skin and dark green eyes with freckles on each cheek. She was wearing a black gakuran uniform with yellow buttons and red shoes. He could tell she had a nice, lean and well toned figure.

'Hmm...I've seen that face before.' He thought as he stared at her before it suddenly clicked in his head. He remembered her from some sludge villain incident about ten months ago. 'Izumi Midoriya. To be honest she's kinda cute.' He thought. Although he is dense and can be oblivious to a girl's feelings, he still knew a cute and beautiful girl when he saw one.

Izumi(Few Minutes Earlier…)

'Crap, crap, crap! I'm almost late.' Izumi thought as she ran towards the UA High School. She had just finished her ten month long training with Allmight in order to inherit his quirk. The quirk OFA.

She thought back to how it all began. When she was told she was quirkless at age 4, her life hadn't been a nice one. She had been made fun of by everyone around her and her former best friend began to bully her. Insulting her because of her quirkless status and even giving her the nickname 'Deku' which meant useless and defenseless. The only person who still cared about her was her mother and even her didn't believe she could be a hero.

It all changed ten months ago after the famous 'Sludge Villain Incident' where she had tried to save her former friend/childhood bully, Bakugo from the villain only for Allmight to save the day. He then saw her heroic spirit and made her his successor telling her of the OFA quirk.

Apparently, it is a power stock-piling quirk that can be passed down but only to those with heroic spirits. It granted the the user superhuman strength, speed and durability. And it grew stronger as it is passed down. She is the ninth and current host of the quirk.

Allmight had then made her clean the whole of Dagobah beach by herself and a few other exercises to train her body and make it strong enough to contain the powerful quirk. Though it was hard, exhausting and at times stressing, she pushed on and finally completed the training and was able to gain the quirk.

'Phew. Made it in time.' She thought with a sigh having been worried she wouldn't make it to the UA Entrance Exam in time. She hadn't had time to test out OFA and she wasn't even sure she had it yet. Her face then turns slightly green when she remembers how she had to eat hair to gain the quirk. 'Though I don't really feel any different or any powerful.' She thought.

"Damn Deku!" She hears someone shout from behind her causing her to tense at the familiar voice and nickname. She slowly turns around and sees that it was a boy of average height with a slim yet muscular build with fair skin, red eyes and ash blonde spiky hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. He was wearing a similar uniform to her indicating that they attended the same middle school. He also had a yellow scarf on.

"B-bakugo!" She states freaking out a bit when she saw the angry look on his face. In the past she would have called him 'Kacchan' but he had made it clear how he hated the name and they weren't friends so there was no use for it. Though she still always freaked out when she saw him.

"Get out of my way useless nerd or I'll blow you sky high!" Bakugo growls out.

Izumi, not wanting to anger the boy more, quickly moves out of his way and the boy merely walks past her. She was a bit surprised though when he didn't say anything else and just entered the school. 'That was surprising. I expected him to insult me or make a remark about me being here.'

Ever since the incident ten months ago, the boy had been taking it easy on her. No longer bullying her much and just throw harsh remarks or just insult her. 'Well guess I'm just scared out of habit.'

She then shakes her head and stares at with determination. 'Alright Izumi. This is your time to prove everyone wrong. I'm gonna do my best!' She thought as she begins walking towards the entrance. Only to yelp in surprise as she trips and begins to fall to the floor face first. But before she could hit the ground she felt someone grabbing her from the back of her uniform, stopping her from hitting the ground. 'Huh?'

"You should be more careful you know." A male voice says causing as she is raised up to her feet. She looks toward the person and freezes when she realizes it was a boy. "You're lucky I was nearby."

"I..uh.." She stutters out, having never talked to a boy before. The only exception being Bakugo and that was only when he wanted to mess with her.

"You're Izumi Midoriya, right? I recognize you from the Sludge villain incident ten months ago." He says causing her to freeze again. Not expecting this cute boy to recognize or know her name.

Wait did she just think he was cute?

"Y-y-y-yeah...I'm I-Izumi Midoriya." She says nervously.

"The name's Ken Suzuki. Nice to meet ya." He introduces himself. "Anyway, though it was reckless, I found what you did pretty cool actually." Now that surprised the girl. She remember she was scolded for what she had done that time.

"R-really?" She asks.

"Yeah. You were really brave, not many people can charge head first into a villain attack to try and save someone. It shows how heroic you are." He says. "I'm sure you'll make a great hero someday." He says with a grin and the girl is stunned at what he said. She was also a bit flustered.

"I-I see...thanks." She says.

Ken just nods. "Anyway, let's get into before we miss the beginning of the exams." He says as he walks into the school. Izumi nodding before following him before something clicked in her head.

'Wait, I had a conversation with a boy. A cute one at that.'

UA Hall, Minutes Later…

"WELCOME EVERYONE TO THIS YEAR'S UA EXAMS! EVERYONE SAY HEY!" The loud voice of the pro hero, Present Mic, could be heard clearly by everyone in the large hall the examinees were in. Unfortunately for him, he didn't get any response. 'Ouch!' He thought to himself.

"Any way my listeners! I'm gonna give you all a low-down on how this exam's gonna go!" He says. He then begins to explain the exams to everyone. Apparently they were supposed to destroy robots in any of the fake cities. There were different types of robots from the one-pointer to the three-pointer. The man was about to continue explaining the exams when he was interrupted.

"Excuse me sir, I have a question!" A tall blue haired boy wearing glasses says as he gets on his feet. "In our handouts, it was written that there would be four types of robots. This kind of error is embarrassing especially for a top school like this." He shouts out and Ken just shook his head at that.

'Seriously, let the man finish first.' He thought and then watches as the boy points at Izumi, who had been mumbling something that he couldn't quite hear, and states that she had been distracting everyone and should leave if she doesn't want to take things seriously.

"S-sorry." The girl says quietly.

"Anyway, thanks for the reminder, examinee 7111! Well about the fourth robot, isn't really worth any points and it's best to avoid them once they appear!" The pro hero says. "I see. Thank you for the explanation." The boy says with a bow before sitting.

"Alright then! That's enough out of me! Good luck to you all in this exams and remember! PLUS ULTRA!" He says shouting loudly at the very end. Ken then looks at the paper that was placed where he seated. It had a 'A' written on it. "Ground A huh. What'd you get Izumi?" He asks the green haired girl who was beside him.

"I got ground C." She says as she glances at Bakugo's paper who had been placed in another ground.

"Quit looking at my paper Deku!" The blonde growls out.

"Well good luck then." Ken says as he walks out the hall with the rest of the examinees.

Later lots of examinees were standing in front of a large gate leading to large fake city. Ken, who now wore a dark purple short sleeved muscle shirt with black pants and black snickers stood at the far back doing some last minute stretches. Getting himself ready for the test to come. His scarf still around his neck.

He stops his warm up when he sees the large gates into the fake city begin to open up. "ALRIGHT EXAMINEES! YOUR EXAMS BEGIN NOW!" The loud voice of Present Mic could be heard through the speakers.

"Finally." Ken murmurs as he crouches down. He activates his Power-Up quirk and he shoots forward with fast speeds into the city, shocking everyone else as they run after him.

As the boy runs through the city, he is suddenly blocked by one of the exam robots. It was a two pointer.

"Target locked on! Murder!" The robot says as it prepares to attack boy, who just smirks before he cocks his arm back and jumps up throwing a punch to the robot's head, destroying it completely.

The boy then lands on the ground. "That's two points in the bag." He says before spotting several robots moving about in the fake city. "And many more to come." He adds dashing towards them.

Izumi

The green haired girl wasn't having a good exam. She had let her nervousness cause her to start the exams late causing her to get left behind and now here she was, frantically looking for any robot, having not destroyed anyone and was running out of time.

'Dammit! This isn't looking good!' Izumi thought as she watches another robot get destroyed by another one of the examinees. The girl began to wonder on what to do when she felt the massive rumbling around the city. She along with everyone else turn to face a massive robot that towered over the buildings. 'Holy crap! That's the zero-pointer!' She says remembering it from when it was explained back in the hall.

"I have to get outta here." She says as she begins to run away from the massive robot with the rest of the examinees until she heard a groan from behind her and she turns around to see a brown haired girl around her age with her leg stuck under a pile of ruble and was about to get crushed by the massive robot.

Her hero instincts kick in and she decides that she couldn't leave the girl to die and decided to help her out, Izumi runs back towards the zero-pointer, ignoring the glasses boy who was yelling at her to get away.

"I hope this works." She says as she tries to activate OFA. She felt the vast amount of power the quirk had uses it on her legs before crouching down and leaping with incredible speeds towards the zero-pointer's head. As she gets closer to it, she clenches her right arm into a fist draws it back, letting her new power flow through it as it glowing red vein like patterns appear on her right arm as it glowed with power.

"SMASH!" She cries out as she punches her fist forward and it connects with the zero-pointers head completely destroying it and sending it tumbling backwards until it crashes onto the ground. Izumi just looks at what she did in awe. She had completely destroyed the zero-pointer. In one punch. She then realizes that she was falling and that except her left arm, her limbs were completely broken and beyond use.

'Craap!' She mentally shouted as she began to plummet to the ground.

Ken

"And that's 90 points to me." Ken says as he stares at the destroyed robots that laid around him. He had completely demolished all of them and with no problems at all. "There's not much time before the exam's over. I wonder when that zero-pointer is going to show up." He says before feeling a massive rumbling across the city. He let's out a grin as the zero-pointer emerges.

"Damn it's huge!" The boy says loudly, not expecting it to be as big as it was. He then sees how all the other examinees begin to cower at the sight of the robot and start running away from it. 'Cowards. And they say they wanna be pros.'

His eyes then widen when he sees a girl trip as she was running away from the robot as it got closer to her. "Shit!" He curses as he activates his quirk and dashes forward with high speeds to save the girl before she gets stomped on. Luckily, he was fast enough to grab her bridal style and get out of the way, narrowly avoiding getting stomped on.

"Phew that was close." He says before looking down at the girl who was blushing a bit before dropping her. "Get outta here now!" The girl wastes no time and runs off just as the robot spots the boy and locks on him.

The robot goes to stomp him but he avoids it. It then accidentally hits a building causing to break as rubble falls to the ground. Ken avoids a few of the rubble before he gets an idea. He jumps up and lands on one of the falling rubbles before jumping higher towards two other ones before jumping and landing on the robot's massive hand.

Ken then dashes up the arm with incredible speeds and cocks his arm back as he approaches the head. He then leaps up towards the robot's head with high speeds thanks to his quirk. 'This is gonna hurt.' He thought as he punches hard at the robot's head blowing it apart and causing the robot to fall over.

Ken stares at the fallen robot from above before smirking. He then winces and looks at his now broken right arm. "Still have to practice more with this quirk." He says to himself before he begins to fall tro the ground. "This is also gonna hurt." He says as he activates his quirk and crashes into the ground hard causing dust and debris to raise from the impact.

When the dust clears, it reveals Ken who had managed to land on his feet though he was gritting his teeth as he was in a lot of pain. 'If it wasn't for all those years of training add to the increased durability my quirk grants me, I'd most likely be dead from that fall or be hospitalized.'

He was in so much pain that he didn't notice the exams were over, or the shocked looks on the faces of everyone who had seen what he had done. Well everyone except the girl he had saved who had a neutral expression on her face.

"Hmm…" She hums to herself.

Ken manages to move towards the entrance of the fake city and just stays there before Recovery Girl arrives and heals the injured examinees.

Suzuki Residence, Two Hours Later…

"Hey bro! I got your letter!" A girl that looks to be around 17 years of age asks as she knocks on the door to Ken's room. She was only about two inches taller than the boy and she had long silky black hair that goes down to the middle of her back. She had fair skin and blue eyes and had a curvaceous figure. She was wearing a blue long sleeve shirt with black pants and white snickers. The door then opens and Ken pokes his head out.

"Sweet! It's finally here!" He says as he takes the letter from her. He was about to shut the door when he stops. "You going somwhere, Lucita?" He asks the now identified Lucita.

"Yeah. I was gonna head to the mall now but when I saw the letter, I wanted to stay and see what it says." Lucita says as she steps into his room and shuts the door. "So open it already."

"Alright then." Ken says as he opens the letter and then raises an eyebrow when a small metal disc falls out of the envelope instead of a letter. It then lits up and a holographic screen appears. "Eh?"

"Hello Mr. Suzuki." A rat, bear, dog like creature wearing a suit appears on the screen and the two siblings stare at it in confusion. "I'm sure you're wondering who I am. Well I'm Nezu, principal of UA High." Now that shocked the two Suzukis.

"Now I'm here to talk about the exams. Congratulations on passing and getting into the school. You are now part of the Hero Academia. You also got the highest points in the exams which consisted of both combat and rescue points."

"Rescue points?" Ken mutters in confusion.

"Allow me to explain. The rescue points are gotten for protecting fellow examinees. It was not revealed to be part of the exams as we wanted to see the ones who can perform acts of heroism without wanting to gain points out of it and I must say I'm rather impressed. In terms of combat points, you got 90 points and you also got 35 rescue points. Giving you a total of 125 points. The uniforms will be sent to your address. Welcome to UA High." He finishes before the hologram vanishes.

"Wow! First place?! Congrats bro!" Lucita says hugging Ken.

"Hehe. Thanks sis." He says hugging her back. They then break the hug before he asks. "Where's dad anyway?"

"He's still out at work. Anyway gotta go. Bye." Lucita says as she leaves the room.

Ken then sighs before smiling. He then turns towards a photo. It was the photo of a beautiful woman with silky black hair that goes down to just past her neck with tanned skin, dark purple eyes and a rather curvaceous body. She was holding onto a 3 year old Ken as they both were smiling brightly.

'I did it mum. I got in.'

Midoriya Residence

"Izumi! The letter from UA just arrived!" Inko Midoriya, Izumi's mother, says while knocking on her daughter's room door. Izumi opens the door and finds her mother gasping for breath as she held the letter.

"Thanks mum." She says as she takes the letter from her. She then states that she needed to see the results herself which her mother agreed as she shuts her room door. "I'm really nervous about this." She mutters under her breath before taking a deep breath. "Let's get this over with."

She then opens the letter and a small metal disc falls on the table slightly confusing her, before the disc lits up and holographic screen appears.

"I am here! In projection form!" The booming voice of Allmight could be heard as the number 1 hero appears on the holographic screen shocking the green haired girl.

"A-allmight?! W-what are you doing there? Isn't this letter from UA?!" She questions the hologram even though he couldn't respond to the question.

"I know it's been a while but there's been a lot of paperwork to take care of, so I wasn't able to get in touch. For that I apologize!" Allmight says bowing. "To be honest with you, I came to this city because I received an invitation to work at UA." Izumi is shocked by that piece of information. "Anyway, let's get straight to it. You passed the written test with flying colours but in the practicals, you got no points which would normally mean you failed."

Izumi freezes on her seat as she was filled with dread. She had seen this coming. She didn't manage to get any points in the practical exams and that meant that she had failed. She had failed to prove anyone wrong. Failed Allmight and Ken, the only two people who said she could be a hero.

"However that's not all…" Now Izumi perks up when she hear that as she stares carefully at holographic figure of her idol. "What many didn't know was that there was another factor in the exam."

"Other factors? What do you mean?" She asks not getting what Allmight meant.

"Before we look at the results, let's take a look at this video" Allmight says as he turns on a nearby screen and a video starts with the brown haired girl she had saved from the zero pointer. Though she ended up brraking most of her limbs and ended up getting saved by the same girl.

"Uraraka?" She says remembering her name.

"Excuse me. I'd like to speak with you sir." Uraraka says as she approaches Present Mic. "You know that girl with green hair and freckles. Her name was Izumi Midoriya."

"This girl came personally after the exams to talk negotiate with the man. Let's keep watching to find out more!"

"Anyway, would it be possible to give her some of my points?" She asked and the girls eyes widen at the question. "If it wasn't for her then I'd most likely not be here. So I feel like giving her some of my points would be the right thing to do."

Izumi was watching the video speechless. She couldn't believe that someone was willing to give her some of their points so she could get into the school. She then thought back to how everyone had told her she couldn't be a hero, even her own mother and some of the horrible insults she had received over the years. She then remembered when Allmight and even that boy from the exams had told her she could be a hero.

"What you did back then might have been reckless but it was pretty cool. It showed how heroic you are. I think you'd make a great hero."

Those were the words that Ken Suzuki had told her back at the day of the entrance exams. She blushes a bit remembering the praise she got from the cute boy. She immediately shakes her head.

"In addition to your quirk, your actions spur others to act." Allmight states. "This exam wasn't just about scoring the result against robot villains."

"Sorry but we can't allow you to do that little listener. Though from what I saw, you don't really need to give her any points. I'm sure she'll get in." Present Mic says as he pats the girls head.

Allmight then turns to face the screen. "We all saw what you did. You helped that young lady before she could get hurt. What hero course would reject people who save others and do the right thing? After all, that is what it means to be a hero. Though you received no combat points, you were able to get rescue points! Points awarded by a panel of judges. You were one of the few who were able to receive them." Allmight states before displaying Izumi's results.

She wasn't able to get any combat points but she had managed to acquire 65 rescue points which gave her a total of 65 points. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She had done it. She had gotten into UA.

"You, young lady, were able to pass. So welcome Young Midoriya, to your Hero Academia!"

Ken Suzuki's Quirks So Far

- Power-Up: Grants him super human strength and speed. It's a powerful enhancer quirk that once he uses more power than his body than handle, he begins to feel serious strain or his bones break. (A/N: Currently as strong as a 15% OFA Deku)

The rest of his quirks are unknown for now.

-xxx-

That's it for this chapter. This story idea came to me in my sleep. I was reading an MHA fanfiction when I fell asleep and then I had a weird dream of someone just being born with six quirks and I've seen a few MHA fanfics where Izuku, an OC, or some crossover character are born with more than one quirk so I said 'Why not?'

For the ship, it's gonna be a harem and Izumi(Fem. Izuku) is gonna be in it. The other girls will be revealed in time.

As for my other stories. Darkness and Light, I'm redoing it but this time, Ken doesn't leave to avenge his family and kill his father. He will want to have revenge but on Magnolia and Fairy Tail. Natsu will still want to save him and his reason for revenge will be revealed in the story.

Rubber Man of Fairy Tail will be deleted and I'll make a new story. This one will have Luffy in it, whereby him and his best friend(OC), have eaten two of the last ten devil fruits and join Fairy Tail and go on adventures.

Also, for Bakugo fans, I hope, for your sake, Bakugo doesn't die after what I saw in Chapter 362. For me, if he dies, I'll be surprised, but I won't really feel anything. No. 1, my favourite character is Izuku(Deku). No. 2, even though his character is now better than when he first appeared in the anime/manga, I still don't like him that much. He bullies Izuku for up to ten years of his life even though he was already depressed about not having a quirk, makes fun of him, gives him a horrible nickname, tells him to kill himself and then after so long finally apologizes to the guy. Yes, he apologized, so what? The fact that Deku still wants to be friends with the guy is beyond me. If I was him, I wouldn't give a fuck about Bakugo and I'll want nothing to do with him. So if he dies from the heart wound he received from Shigaraki, then that's his and you Bakugo fans business.

Anyway forget about that. Till next time, Read and Review.

Peace.
