The world's first hybrid dinosaur the Scorpios Rex attacked the campers of Camp Cretaceous Sammy was unfortunately poisoned by the hybrid. Yasmina was holding her hand "Sammy it's going to be okay I'm here." Yasmina said.
"Taking out the quills didn't do enough we need to get her an antidote." Darius said.
"Yeah sure considering no one knew of its existence." Kenji said.
"Maybe the medical supply station has something." Ben said.
"Kenji's right the Scorpios Rex was never suppose to get out." Darius said.
Brooklyn remembered something "Dr. Wu had a video he was attacked by the Scorpios and they were giving him this shot." Brooklyn said.
Yaz got up "Where is this cure?" Yaz grabbed and asked Brooklyn.
The pink haired girl gave her a map "It's near the raptor paddock."
"Take care of Sammy until I get back." Yaz said.
She ran to the labs Darius calls out "Yaz the Scorpios went that way!"
"I don't care what's out there I'm saving her!" Yaz said.
Yaz ran it was the middle of the night it was all up to her to save Sammy. She had an obstacle in her way a huge river "Come on Yaz are you going to let a little water stop you?" she said to herself.
She took a few steps back she took a deep breathe, readied herself to jump. She ran and jumped over the river but she barely made it to the other side she fell into the river. She nearly got washed up luckily she caught a branch that dove into the river she climbed out and rested by a tree.
She remembered a good memory it was before the Indominus Rex attacked "My pages got all wet." she said to herself.
Sammy came to her "You need a friend!" she said.
"Uh what?" Yaz asked.
"Is that a scrapbook? I love scrapbooking we can make one together pull you out of your shell." Sammy said.
"I'm pretty happy in my shell." Yaz said.
"No one likes the shell it stops people from getting to know you!" Sammy said.
"Bingo!" Yaz said.
She walked away "I know you're just shy!" Sammy said.
"Can't hear you in my shell!" Yaz said.
"I'm not giving up!" Sammy said.
Back to reality Yaz smiled she got up "I'm not giving up either." Yaz said.
She began running again she saw signs one pointed to the raptor paddock "Just hang on Sammy." Yaz said.
Yaz had another memory this one had only her in it. It was after she bonded with Sammy she was writing in her srcapbook "She's a nice girl." Yaz said, as she draw a picture of Sammy.
Something inside Yaz felt different she knew one thing she loves Sammy "I love you Sammy." Yaz said.
Yaz arrived at Dr. Wu's labs it was covered in logs she found the door she opened it but it wouldn't open she saw a piece of tree was blocking the door. Yaz put herself against the door and her feet on the tree she put all her strength to push the tree. But she heard something she stopped and saw the Scoripios Rex walking nearby she kept quiet it stood there but it walked away.
Yaz nearly freaked out she remembered what she said to Sammy before the hybrid attacked them "You're my best friend after we get home..." Sammy said.
"If we get home." Yaz said.
"Even if we do somehow survive this you go back to Texas face facts Sammy we're not best friends we never were." Yaz said.
Sammy walked away sadden Yaz thought to herself "Why did I say that? I love her."
I'm not giving up without telling her how I feel." Yaz said.
Yaz pushed the tree out of the way getting inside the labs. She began searching the whole labs she picked up any item that could be a shot "It has to be here!" Yaz said.
She began tearing the lab apart she put both her hands on her face "Why couldn't I help her?" she asked herself.
She fell to the ground feeling she failed but something caught her attention.
She found a box with a doctor symbol on it she opened it and found a small jar with the words "E750 antidote" Yaz cries softly "Yes, yes don't worry Sammy I'm going to save you." Yaz said.
She began running back to Sammy but the Scorpios Rex found her it unleashed a roar loud enough to nearly blow her eardrums she dropped the antidote Yaz slowly reached down to close the case the Scorpios heard the case close Yaz knew the risk of outrunning the hybrid were low "It's too risky." Yaz's thoughts.
"Saving Sammy is worth anything." Yaz said out loud.
Yaz ran she got a head start the Scorpios Rex chased her Yaz knew this creature was fast she had to do anything to avoid it she jumped over a log the hybrid pushed it out of its way. Yaz found the river she jumped over now she had to jump over it again she jumped and landed but she sprained her foot.
Yaz took a few deep breaths she saw the sun beginning to rise Yaz remembered the night after the cattle drive "I'm not so great at trusting new people so my favorite color is black, my favorite food is pizza and this is what I was doing earlier." Yaz said to Sammy.
She gave Sammy her scrapbook "I started drawing to kill time during track meets I'm not so good at drawing so you probably won't even like them." Yaz said.
Sammy was looking in the book "I don't like 'em." Sammy said.
Yaz had a disappointing look on her face "I love them! I knew we were going to be best friends!" Sammy hugged Yaz.
"I'm not really much of a hugger." Yaz said.
"You are now!" Sammy said.
Yaz hugged back the two look out into the night "You never give up do you?" Yaz asked.
"Never for friendship!" Sammy said.
Yaz smiled she had the feeling she never had before she likes Sammy as more than a best friend.
"I'm not giving up either! I'm not giving up on you! And I'm not giving up to tell you how I feel." Yaz said.
The Scorpios Rex roared again Yaz checked her surroundings hoping it didn't beat her but to her shock it was hiding in the trees.
She backed up in fear the hybrid was ready to finish her off Yaz got angry and got up "If you're gonna do something then do it already!" she challenged the hybrid.
It backed up two steps like it was shocked it prey was not even scared of it.
Out of nowhere a large explosion caught the Scorpios Rex attention Yaz saw this was her chance she ran even with a sprained ankle but the explosion wasn't enough it kept following her Yaz saw a abandoned building she entered it she got cornered into a small place the Scorpios Rex chased her it was tearing the place up trying to get her but it destroyed the support pillar Yaz got out of the building the Scorpios Rex was crushed. Yaz knew she may have mere minutes left.
Yaz kept running she fell down remembered the time Yaz saved her from Tiff and Mitch.
Yaz got up she keeps running "You know Yaz I'm glad we've got time to know each other because you're the best friend I've ever had." Sammy's voice said to Yaz.
Yaz arrived at camp Brooklyn and Kenji were checking Sammy's health who didn't look well Yaz panicked she walked over to them "I'm here." Yaz said.
Brooklyn got the shot ready with the antidote "Sammy I'm here everything gonna be fine." Yaz said.
Brooklyn injected Sammy with the antidote.
It seems as if it didn't work Yaz hold her hand Darius and Ben got back.
"Please come on, come on, come on." Yaz pleaded for Sammy to pull through.
"You have too you're the best friend I've ever had forget what I said we'll always be best friends no matter how far apart we are." Yaz said.
Sammy appeared she was dead "Please Sammy I like you alot I've had a crush on you since the first day we've met and I can't live a world without you in it." Yaz said to Sammy.
Sammy seemed the antidote didn't work Yaz cries into Sammy's arms feeling she failed to save her.
Sammy cough the antidote worked everyone was happy Sammy opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was Yaz crying in joy "Heard you like me." Sammy said.
"Yeah I do Sammy." Yaz said.
"When we get off the island wanna go out together?" Sammy asked.
"More than anything." Yaz said.
Yaz and Sammy smiled each other Sammy's physical appearance returned to normal instead of green pale Yaz lean over to her and kiss her Sammy placed her hand on Yaz's cheek as the two were enjoying the moment.
