Hey Pokémon fans. Here's a little Armourshipping story I wrote. I've kinda wanted to write one for a while, so I just came up with this simple little piece, which I hope anyone who likes this pair will enjoy. :)

"I love you."

"What?!" Serena cried, her blue eyes widening with intense disbelief at what she had just been told by boy before her. "What did you say, Ash?"

"I said I love you." Ash smiled warmly. His auburn eyes twinkled in the glowing light coming from the sunset behind them. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. With all my Pokémon training and battles I've been focused on, it's taken me a long time to realise how I've felt about you. It's time I got it out and let you know at last."

Serena placed a hand over her heart, feeling how face it was racing. Her cheeks were turning a bright pink. She was astonished over what she was being told by the boy who she'd had feelings for over a long time. Never had the young girl thought she would hear those three words from the person she had always loved.

Wanting clarification that what he was telling her was true, she turned towards his most trusted Pokémon, who was sitting on top of Ash's cap as usual.

"Is what he telling me true, Pikachu?" Serena asked hopefully.

"Pika!" Pikachu nodded, a smile on its furry face as it gave an assuring nod to the person its Trainer really liked.

"There! You heard it straight from Pikachu!" Ash affirmed as he reached up with his hand to rub the Electric-Type's head, never taking his gaze off the girl before him. "If Pikachu can confirm something about me, Serena, then you know it's true!"

Serena's eyes twinkled. Her heart was overflowing with intense joy over what she had heard. It was so surreal for her to be told that the boy she had looked up to seen they were small and had grown attached to when they had met again heard later - felt the exact same way about her.

"It's true, Ash?" she whispered. "You love me?"

"It's true." Ash nodded sincerely. "I love you, Serena."

Tears of happiness escaped Serena's eyes. They ran down her cheeks to pass where her lips had curled up into a smile. Never had the young Pokémon Performer felt so happy. She couldn't imagine anything more wonderful by being told that the love of her life - was in love with her too.

With nothing now to keep her away from him, Serena threw herself at Ash. She hugged him tightly and closed her eyes as she felt him embracing her back. She did not want to be ever taken from his arms.

"I love you too, Ash," Serena whispered, holding him tighter.

Ash beamed as he ran his fingers through her hair. Pikachu watched from on top of his hat. It relished the sight of the boy and girl hugging one another. How pleased the Electric-Type Pokémon was that the two humans he travelled with had confessed their feelings for each other at last.

A few silent moments passed as Ash and Serena remained locked in their embrace. Then they pulled away slightly to send each other their smiles - before pressing their lips together. The sun continues to sink behind them, creating a beautiful atmosphere for the pair of young lovers to have their first kiss.
