In the small town of Gravity Ascends, Pacifica and Gideon expect a quiet summer working at Gideon 's uncle's shop. The town's local celebrities, the Gleeful twins, however, have other plans involving a blue triangle demon. Their uncles have assigned them a mission to obtain all three journals in order to summon Will Cipher, a dimension travelling demon.

When William Cipher, a Demonic Prince receives his abilities he soon proves to be too much for his Kingdom to handle. His chaotic antics force his parents to send him away to live with an old ally on Earth. Upon his arrival he meets twins Mabel & Dipper Pines. But can these seemingly normal kids and their family teach him control? And what secrets will they discover along the way?

In 2017, 5 years after the fateful summer that changed the Pines twins' life forever, they return to Gravity Falls, Oregon hoping for a nice summer vacation. What lies ahead?
