A loud scream resonated it was able to reach Ulrich and Yumi's ears.

"Who would shout that loudly?", Yumi said.

Ulrich immediately recognised the voice. "Sissi.", Ulrich believed without seconds of thinking. He glanced Odd. Odd is still not in good shape. He walked toward Yumi. Yumi noticed Ulrich reaching her side. "Yumi, please take care of them.".

"It could be a trap, Ulrich.", Yumi said.

"It's a risk I'll have to take.", Ulrich said.

"Look, I get you are the best fighter but it means our loss if you die.", Yumi said.

"Dying is the easy way.", Ulrich said, remaining expressionless on his face.

"You don't fear death?", Yumi questioned him.

Ulrich turns away.

Nobody saw a pink orb appeared, and went close to Odd and William. The pink expanded its pink energy over Odd and William.

"How could you say such a thing? Everyone fears death, and you casually say 'Dying is the easy way'.", Yumi said.

"I don't have time for this. Either it's Sissi or somebody screaming like a girl, I won't ignore someone crying for help.", Ulrich said.

"Those things could find us. I can barely hold my own against them, especially with Odd and William in bad shape.", Yumi said.

"What are you talking about?"

Yumi and Ulrich turned, seeing William and Odd casually raising to their feet.

"What the-?", Yumi is speechless now. How did Odd and William heal so quickly? They are going to her and Ulrich. "This is a miracle, no wounds, no bruises, you guys can walk.".

"Yeah, don't know how, but I am ready to get back into the fight.", Odd said, stretching himself.

Ulrich had enough time wasted with these younger cadets. He spins around, readied to use his super-speed ability. A hand was placed on Ulrich's shoulder, which made Ulrich decide to pause his movement. He turned, Yumi stopped him.

"Let us join you, please.", Yumi said gently.

Ulrich is hesitant to allow them to join with him. Could be a fight he's forced to face to save survivors, or there may not be survivors. He wonders why his body isn't pushing Yumi away and super-sprinting. Maybe there is something inside him that needs help, but they would be in the same risk as him. He sighs. "Fine.", Ulrich finally responded. "But you follow my orders, is that clear?".

Yumi nodded.

"Everyone.", Ulrich said, glaring Odd and William.

"Thanks, buddy.", Odd cries out in joy.

"Whatever.", William replied.

"I'm not your buddy.", Ulrich retorted.

Everyone was close to Ulrich. Ulrich generates a coil wrapping William, Yumi and Odd from his hands. Once they are all tightly wrapped, Ulrich used his super-sprint ability to depart the building with his allies.

A pink orb lowered its levitation. It watched Ulrich and the others' departure. A rush of satisfaction the orb had.

Finally out of the building, Ulrich arrived at the area where he heard Sissi's screams. They are very astonished seeing a horde of monsters that are surrounding survivors.

"Krabs?!", Odd exclaimed.

"Did you just name them?", Yumi said, surprised someone would give a monster a name that is feared by them.

"Yeah, why not?", Odd said. He quickly gets into a posture, steadying his arm at a red creature who Odd calls a Krab. "Laser arrow!". He fires five shots at the Krab. The krab felt it, and staggered. It then turned and scowled at Odd, much to the latter's displeasure. He quietly growls over not killing the monster. He ran toward the Krab, engaging it.

William pulls out his giant blade with his fixed gaze at a block-shaped monster. "Who's that block-head?", William asked.

"Odd nicknamed that creature a 'Blok'. Be wary of its sides, they use lethal force.", Ulrich said. He didn't take pleasure in using Odd's nicknames on the monsters. He only allowed it because it's the only way he and everyone else will know what the other fights against.

Ulrich engages a dozens of small monsters. "Kankrelats?", Ulrich said in astonishment. He remembers them as part of wildlife. The creatures before did not have the symbol of an eye. Presently, they show the eye on their heads. Ulrich's thoughts interrupted when Kankrelats fired beams at Ulrich. Ulrich shielded with his blade though the force of the blast is pushing Ulrich away.

Jeremie, Sissi, Maya, Herb and Nicholas find out the monsters are spreading. They understood why, they are engaging with the other soldiers. A relieved expression lightened their scared looks.

"We're saved!", Nicholas bursts out in relief.

"I know that you dimwit.", Herb said. He was more annoyed Ulrich is here. Ulrich is the only person Sissi loves; Sissi doesn't love Herb.

Yumi took her fans out, throwing them at the Kankrelats. The Kankrelats are destroyed. Yumi turned, seeing Ulrich is having a bit of struggle with the Kankrelats because there is an enormous beam pushing Ulrich back. Yumi tried to help, but was prevented by three Krabs firing lasers at her. She is forced to battle them.

Odd finally landed on top of one of the Krabs. He fires arrows on the surface of the Krab's head before leaping away. The Krab is destroyed, which puts a smile on Odd's face. His short moment of victory over the Krab ended swiftly once more Krabs sauntered his way. Odd was forced to continue battling more Krabs.

Ulrich persists in refusing to succumb to the full-powered attack of the Kankrelats. There is a part of him that wants to stop and die. But his body is moving on its own, it's not giving up. One realisation helped him decide not to pass away. "No! I still have a promise to a keep, and I don't intend to let my death shatter my promise!", Ulrich shouted as he deflected the beam away, sending it back to the Kankrelats. The small monsters tried to run, but came too late as soon as they made contact with the blast, which caused them to perish.

Jeremie, Sissi, Maya, Herb and Nicholas tried to escape. Their available paths are sealed by two Krabs. Maya gets into a steady stance, ready to use her petrification abilities to freeze the monster. Out of nowhere, a blade sliced every Krab's legs, making their heads fall to the ground. Ulrich landed between the heads, he used his two sabers to pierce the two Krabs' heads, killing them.

Sissi is in great relief. "Ulrich darling!", Sissi exclaimed, running toward Ulrich. Ulrich avoided Sissi, and walked toward the smartest cadets in the academy.

"Belpois, Schaeffer, good to see you two are alive and well.", Ulrich said midly.

"Likewise.", Jeremie said, smiling even though Ulrich is not showing a sign of a smile. Several lasers are reaching them. Ulrich spins, and deflects the lasers. They see more Krabs are arriving. Jeremie examined the area, it's not only Krabs. Bloks and Kankrelats are arriving.

"This area is getting too crowded, Belpois. My senses are frail with more monsters arriving, I can't seem to locate the core of Sector 5.", Ulrich said. They all know why the core of Sector 5 isn't found so easily. The core shifts in different places constantly.

"There may be a way. Although it's only a prediction, I might be able to locate the core of Sector 5.", Jeremy said.

"Then it's time we hightail and run.", Ulrich said. His allies will soon be overwhelmed and killed if he does not get them away from the monsters. With a strong and loud voice, Ulrich commanded every cadet to follow him, which everyone followed. They all followed Ulrich out of the area as the monsters began to pursue them.

The monsters are about fire lasers.

"That's enough."

Every monster, every Krab, every Kankrelat, and every Blok immediately stopped firing as though they act in accordance with the instructions that this mysterious individual had given them.

"This boy has piqued my interest.", an entity said. Every monster stared at the entity loyally. "Bring the boy they call Ulrich to me... alive."

"As you wish, Master XANA.", all the monsters responded.
