Elsa follows Ulrich along the corridors.
"Where are you going?", Elsa asked Ulrich.
"Breaking them out.", Ulrich responded.
"You will get yourself, and them, killed.", Elsa said.
"I've said this once, and I will say it again: I will take my chances.", Ulrich said. He isn't stopping, he is walking further despite hearing Elsa's warnings.
Elsa knows she cannot change Ulrich's mind. The poor boy is haunted by the deaths of his last comrades.
Ulrich finally stopped, and turned. "You could've used your powers to stop me. Worked well when you made me do what you wanted.", Ulrich said, referring to their little break away from the busy life.
Elsa placed her hands on her abdomen before walking toward Ulrich. "I don't want to see you get hurt, Ulrich, but I also cannot bear to watch them die.", she said.
"I'm all ears for suggestions.", Ulrich said.
Elsa glanced her surroundings before looking at Ulrich. "Come with me.", she said. Ulrich soon followed her as Elsa makes her way out of the castle.
Outside, Ulrich sees Elsa riding on a Roach. Are we going somewhere?, he wondered.
"Hop on.", Elsa said. Ulrich sat behind her on the Roach. The Roach then moved away from the castle.
It was a short journey. Ulrich and Elsa arrived at a temple.
Ulrich saw an omega symbol displayed. "An Omega symbol?", Ulrich recognised. He turned, looking at Elsa. "We're entering an uncharted territory.".
"You wanted to save your friends, this is the only way we can save them.", Elsa said.
Ulrich didn't want to step inside the temple. He feels the influence of the Dark Side all over that temple. It wasn't hard to pick the scent of darkness. But it was about saving his allies. "They're not my friends, just allies who helped me fight XANA.", Ulrich corrected her. He resumes walking toward the temple.
Elsa is amused Ulrich continues to regard his friends as allies, not friends. She knew deep down it's a lie.
They entered the temple. Once inside, they had to pass through the thick black mist. Next, there was a booby trap: a large rock ball swings toward Ulrich and Elsa. Ulrich's saber cut the rock in half, saving himself and Elsa from getting crushed by a swinging rock. There was another booby trap: multiple poison darts shoot out of the wall. Ulrich used super-speed to bring him and Elsa to safety. Despite the dangerous traps set for them, Ulrich and Elsa advanced deeper into the temple, bearing even more booby traps: a large stone almost crushing them, hordes of tiny creatures chasing after them, flames attempting to consume them. It's never-ending.
Ulrich paused for a moment as he watches Elsa walking forward. "No turning back.", he muttered. He resumed moving, getting as far to reach Elsa.
The duo stopped by the rock face. Below is complete darkness. There is a narrow bridge that leads up to the other side, another platform. Elsa sees that platform has the book. "We cross that bridge, we can get that book.", Elsa said. She ran through the bridge, only to slightly stumble as the bridge shook.
Ulrich was going to use super-sprint to bring Elsa out of the bridge, but Elsa's gesture stopped him.
"Don't. This bridge isn't strong enough to carry both our weights.", Elsa said.
Elsa was still on the bridge. She carefully goes to the other end of the bridge. As soon as she sets foot on the other platform, Ulrich carefully walked through the bridge without the use of super-sprint. He eventually reached the end of the bridge.
Ulrich takes a breath before walking with Elsa to the book that rests on the table.
Elsa uses telekinesis to bring the book to her hands. She skimmed the book to search for a spell. She finally finds the spell. "There it is. Knew it was in this spellbook.", Elsa said. She looks at Ulrich. "You might wanna stay close.". Ulrich listens to her, standing near her. Elsa began casting a spell, throwing her hands in a strange way while she utters the words.
After casting the spell, the book explodes a while light that engulfs Ulrich and Elsa. They are unable to see.
"Ulrich, whatever happens, you must form a team to fight XANA.", Elsa advised.
Ulrich was focused on how to get Elsa out. The light renders his perceptiveness to less. He can't see where Elsa even though he hears her. He tries to reach his hand out. His body suddenly collapses, and Ulrich immediately faints.
Suddenly, a pink light collides with the white light. A hand emerges, touching Ulrich's unconscious body. The figure appears to drag Ulrich away for safety, away from the white light.
The brilliance of the white light continues enveloping, even enveloping Lyoko. What happens to the planet will be consequential, caused by the spell Elsa used. Some things in this world will never return to normal.
